Edgefrost
Riverclan Warrior
“Come on..” Edge said through gritted teeth, his dark green eyes focused on Streampaw as she was stalking a piece of prey. This was a mini assignment that Streampaw was going through before her actual one in the coming moons, so far his apprentice was either catching or missing her catches. The black and gray Maine Coon knew it had a lot to do with her injuries that she suffered throughout the snowstorm, he couldn’t blame her. Although with the healing process that she was going through, Streampaw had a while to go.. But he believed that she was able to achieve greatness if the young molly would put her mind into it.
His mind was all over the place as of late, his former mate disappearing from the clans and leaving him and his sons behind. Now how was he handling things? Poorly as usual. With one night stands and focusing on his sons without working on himself, he was surprised that his friends and family haven’t even given up on him yet despite the attempts to push them away. Perhaps they were just as stubborn as him, stars he hoped that his children didn’t inherit his hard-head. Settling into a crouch, Edge watched Streampaw stalking towards the squirrel. The tom noticed that she wasn’t putting much weight on her injured leg right now, good, she couldn’t tire herself out now.
Edge thought to himself, he would need a new apprentice after Streampaw entered warrior hood. The reason why he took on apprentices so quickly? It kept him busy. It helped training Streampaw as of late, as he was mostly busy training her without thinking of the other problems he was facing. Of course, he would go straight to his kits after and make sure that they were taken care of. It was a weird adjustment, as usually Edge used to visit his kits in the middle of the day and then when finishing his duties.. Now Edge would visit his kits in the nursery when he would return to camp
Snapping out of his thoughts when hearing a snap of a twig, he saw Streampaw’s grey fur in a flash as the molly began chasing the squirrel. Edge quickly moved within the shadows and bushes in order to watch her without causing a distraction. He needed to see if his apprentice was ready to take on the big warrior assignment, if she was ready for her father and Edge to watch her and not be pressured enough into failing it.

Riverclan Warrior
A small smile escaped Edgefrost, flicking his feathery tail to signal the younger molly to follow “Come on, Those kits get more hangry than anything.” The Maine Coon grumbled, narrowing his dark green eyes as he moved towards the beachside of the Riverclan territory. It was peaceful, quiet. The black and gray tom preferred the loneliness these days, as it let him to wonder within his thoughts. Within the moons that his previous mate had left Riverclan, along with the struggles of becoming a single father.. The Riverclan warrior certainly had reflected his time within the clans. It wasn’t an easy one, but he always got through all the roadblocks. If he had been honest, if it wasn’t for his sons, Edge would had left Riverclan a long time ago. He stayed in Riverclan the first place because of his former mate, perhaps it was because she was the only sense of comfort at the time, no matter how things had gotten bad between them.. Edge stayed because he refused to run unlike his father.
The irony of how everyone who badmouthed Edge, thinking he wouldn’t be capable of handling kits nor being a good mate.
Edge couldn’t help but roll his eyes, he never needed anyone’s opinions but his own. Perhaps that’s why some of his sons were so strong-minded like him. It wasn’t until the two felines had finally made their way towards the shore of the beach. The sounds of seagulls and the ocean waves were pleasing to Edge. His large paws stepped into the cool water which caused the Maine Coon to slowly relax. The tom’s green gaze looked at the sun that was setting, the soft gentle breeze going through his dark fur. For once in his life, Edge was at peace. It was silent for a moment, before he heard Streampaw coming up behind him as he turned towards her. “I usually come here when I need time away from the clan, or feeling a bit overwhelmed.” Edge began, letting out a soft sigh through his nosils.
“I know there’s been a lot of expectations put on you.. When I joined the clan, I had felt as if there were too many of our clan mates who wanted to see me fail.” Edge said, remembering a couple of felines. Looking back at Streampaw, his eyes were narrowed. “You have the potential, but don’t also let any expectations overwhelm you, that ends up happening and it will pull you under worse than a current.” The black and gray tom advised, his feathery tail waving back and forth. He hates to see that Streampaw was putting so much, he knew how it felt when it happened to him “You need to take it one day at a time, don’t let others’ views drag you down.. But allow yourself to rise from their doubts because you’ll come out stronger.” Edge muttered, turning back to look at the ocean and was slowly starting to relax more.
“Not everything will come together straight away, you need patience and determination.. I know you’ve reached your potential, keep your chin up and prove everyone wrong.”
