~Petalpaw~ As per usual, Petalpaw could be seen chasing after a moth through the clearing, this was not an unusual sight for the cats of Shadowclan. Everyone and their mother knew that Petalpaw had an affinity to chase after anything that moved. Though she had started off rather skittish, she was really blossoming into a rambunctious little ball of wild fluff. Though she still retained a healthy dose of caution, she wasn't as flighty as she was in her kithood. Petalpaw chased the moth as far as the edge of camp, before she reluctantly gave up the chase, and instead switched her sights on scoping out one of her many siblings to play with. She began trekking through the camp, staring in between the congregation of cats, seeking out either Leopardpaw or Pantherpaw. For a good few minutes, she searched but try as she might she found no traces of Pantherpaw- however she could scent fresh hint traces of Leopardpaw out and about. "Leopardpaw! Leopardpaw! Brotttheeeerrr! Where are youuuu?"

LEOPARDPAW.
apprentice of shadowclan
"Petal!" The charcoal Bengal playfully complained as his sister launched into him, falling back with an 'oof' so he was between her and the cold ground and snow. Gently he pushed at her face, angling his own away to escape her nuzzles as he tried to speak. "What, what is it? Out with it then," he laughed, finally falling still once more as he waited for her to speak again.
All vestiges of sleep were certainly gone at that point, so much so he thought about asking his sister if she'd like to join him in tracking down their brother, before realizing Pantherpaw might be busy training, unlike a certain two slackers. And besides, it didn't hurt to spend sibling time one on one, as they all knew they loved each other the same amount so that would ensure no feelings were hurt.
~Petalpaw~
Petalpaw abruptly halted, her entire body jerking with her forceful new rigidness. She paused in place for a moment, taking in the direction from where her brother's sleepy voice originated from. She whirled around and spotted him; a black furry ball of fluff dusted white with the snow. He honestly reminded her of the black and white rabbits she often saw sometimes scurrying over from Windclan territory into their own, it was a rare occurrence, but it happened often enough for it to be considered somewhat common. Petalpaw's eyes gleamed with joy, as she pranced through the snow over to her brother, before launching herself into him, and knocking him down into the snow, purring loudly. "Leopardpaw! You'll never guess what I saw, go on and guess! I'm not making it up, I swear it's true!" She babbled, nuzzling him to try and rouse him the rest of the way out of the remnants of sleepiness.
LEOPARDPAW.

The charcoal bengal had woken up early to meander out into the clearing and eat breakfast while he waited for his mentor to return from a patrol he hadn't been invited along on. While it itched his chaps to be left behind at camp like he was still some kind of kit, he also found himself secretly relieved to have this small break for some me-time. Thornbelly was a good mentor, but also a demanding one. It had been hard to go from carefree nursery days laden with kitten chub to training designed to toughen him up. Even after having already been an apprentice for a moon, he still had some adjusting to do.
Therefore, it shouldn't have surprised anyone when he ended up dozing off after his breakfast, nestled into a patch of snow to insult him and weighed down with a full belly. It was such a good nap, in fact, that he ended up sleeping through a light dusting of snow, leaving his almost pitch black pelt to blend in far better with the wintery landscape around him. This was likely why Petalpaw, his sister, had such a hard time finding him. He, however, easily heard her calling out for him. Drop-dead tired, on the verge of death himself, or even on bad terms with his family by some miraculous means, he would never hesitate to rush to his sister whenever she needed him. And though the situation might not have been dire, she clearly wanted him at that moment.
He came to with a sigh, blinking the last vestiges of sleep from his eyes as he sat and shook his pelt free of the snow-dusting with a yawn. "Over here, Pet," he called to her, managing a lazy smile as their gazes locked. Being apprentices had certainly changed them all from who they'd been as kits, and for the best, especially in his sister's case.
