Ryepaw, not too long before this moment, had just returned to camp after an extra training session with Fennelsting. The older apprentice had been working extra hard these days- at least when it wasn't raining or in left over gooey mud. As the evening sun dips low in the sky, casting a warm glow over the camp clearing. She'd found a soft patch of grass to settle down, and begun to groom out her long wavy pelt. With meticulous care, her rough tongue worked each patch of fur, soothing out any tangles and knots that had formed during her training session. Luckily she'd just groomed herself before heading out, so it wasn't as bad as it could have been. A soft purr begins to rumble in her throat as she was lulled into the rhythmic sounds of her grooming, and she takes a brief moment to reflect on her long day. The warm evening breeze ruffles the pelt she works to groom, surrounding her in the scents of the forest and swamps around them, letting out a content sigh.

Greenleaf is in full flush. Temperatures reach nearly unbearable hights. Long-furred cats should stray from the sun.
