Ravenstar
Shadowclan Leader
A small sigh escaped his nostrils, golden gaze remained on the floor. It had been a busy day as per usual in Shadowclan, and the leader wasn’t done. There were plenty of meetings today in order to prepare for leaf-bare, Ravenstar was joining the apprentices training today, and he needed to fix his den in order to prepare it more for the chilly winter. Being the youngest leader of the clans was certainly a challenge, there were times in which Ravenstar had doubts in himself.. But he had to figure it out in order for Shadowclan to survive and thrive within the five clans.
Looking at a group of warriors nearby, he noticed a couple that were around his age range when he had been in the nursery.. While the felines his age were simply enjoying their time as warriors, falling in love and starting their lives.. Ravenstar was the leader of Shadowclan. Of course he wasn’t taking self pity in himself, but it was crazy with how his life from his peers were so different. At the corner of his eye, he noticed a figure standing in front of his den which caused him to arch an eyebrow and made his way towards the entrance.
It was Woolypaw.
Waspsight’s new apprentice, Ravenstar wondered how she was doing in her training. The black leader had a lot of faith in Waspsight, seeing as the calico tom had watched him grow up and was Mercururose’s most trusted ally when she had been alive. Woolypaw was in wonderful paws. Leaping on the ledge, the large Tom made his way to the entrance of the den and cleared his throat softly in order to not startled the small molly in front of him “My father likes to come in my den to change the bedding, I told him it’s not necessary but he does it..” Ravenstar said, smiling softly at the thought of Mintstrike. “I sometimes smell kits from the nursery that probably come here to play hide in seek, along with a couple of sticks thrown around”
“Sometimes, I smell my siblings Leopardpaw, Pythonpaw and Rosepaw in here, I’m assuming they’re looking for me and then a faint trace of my other mother.. Widowsting as she’s most likely dragging them away from the den.” Ravenstar said, as he knows that his mother Widowsting is very protective of them after Mercuryrose had died. “Sometimes, I smell Lilyfall here.. She has this very unique scent, of floral and pine..” Ravenstar said, thinking of the silver tabby Molly before looking up at Woolypaw
“There’s a job in which we have to perform accordingly, but never forget that you’re only one feline.” Ravenstar’s advice to Woolypaw, as he shook his head slightly. No one exactly gave him to go-around of leadership as there was no leader or deputy at the time. But, he was figuring it out one day at a time. The black Tom’s eyes narrowed as he felt his spirit guides peering over, curious of the new medicine cat apprentice but shook them off. “Come on, I’ve got time to kill before I go into my next meeting.” Ravenstar said before flicking his tail in order for Leopardpaw to join them “Leopardpaw wanted to stretch his legs, and I needed to do some meditation.. You’re more than welcome to join us”
Ravenstar
Shadowclan Leader
Letting out a small sigh through his nose, the black tom watched as Leopardpaw had bounded towards him. His younger brother was growing up very fast, he wondered if Mercuryrose was proud? Pushing his thoughts as he beckoned his head towards the direction of the entrance, he slowed his steps in order for Woolypaw to keep up. Watching Leopardpaw running off, he knew that the older apprentice didn’t wander far from Ravenstar.. Leopardpaw knew to meet at their usual place whenever the pair went out, thank goodness the silver Bengal followed rules.
“Typically mediation works in order to clear the mind.. But I use it for other things, my guides like to sometimes speak a lot.. causes headaches.” Ravenstar grunted, explaining to the medicine cat apprentice about his spirit guides. The Shadowclan leader certainly had a while to go with learning for himself and his guides to live peacefully. It wasn’t until they made it to a clearing of the forest that was very silent, which Ravenstar needed. Sitting down for a moment, he closed his eyes “Your mentor taught me how to properly meditate, Waspsight is very patient and kind.. Knew him since I was a kit” Ravenstar noted, as Waspsight had a special place in his family’s heart.
After a moment of silence, the black leader got up and beckoned his head towards the direction of the woods, listening carefully at the birds that were chirping. It was a typical hunting pattern that his cousin Thornheart had taught him. “Tell me Woolypaw, did you learn how to hunt yet? Leopardpaw and I can help you out.” Ravenstar offered, as he knew it was very rare for medicine cats to learn to fight, so he didn’t wanna pressure her into learning that.. However, he could at least teach Woolypaw some basic warrior skills so that she would be handle of learning to hunt and track accordingly.
