Now that things had been settled within the clan with deciding on a leader, Silverscreech had been building up her nerve to approach the new Shadowclan leader Ravenstar. “It’s ok…you got this.” she mumbled to herself nervously. Taking a deep breath, the Ex-Shadowclan queen approached the leader's den cautiously. Raising a brow in wonder, she sat and craned her head forward not wanting to enter Ravenstar’s den without permission but silently scanning the entrance for any sound or movement within.
Unsure If the shadowclan leader was in there, Silverscreech called out.
“Ravenstar?? Are you in there? I apologize for the disturbance, but I need to talk to you.” She mewed seriously.
To say she was nervous wasn't even the beginning of what she felt within. Here Silverscreech had managed to finally gain the courage to return to the clan she abandoned, along with facing her four kits. But on top of that, now the silver-white striped she-cat also needed to make sure her, Briarfrost, and her kit Zinnia were welcome to stay in Shadowclan. Silverscreech wasn't sure what to expect, but from the way some of the clan cats stared at her, she had a thought that perhaps news of who she was had gotten around. She expected as much.
Seeing how much her kits hated her now, minus Ferretfuzz, Silverscreech had expected gossip to get around about her identity eventually. Especially from Widowsting. She was obviously the most bitter about her mom returning.
Ravenstar
Shadowclan Leader
The black Tom’s golden eyes remained narrowed, listening to Silverscreech’s story. His tail flicking for a moment as he intakes her words. The molly wanted a third chance here at Shadowclan, she already screwed up twice with her family and home. If he was being completely honest, he wasn’t completely sure how to react to Silverscreech. The Shadowclan leader didn’t see herself, any of her kits or her previous mate as any of his family members.. Only Widowsting. The reason why? There was no attachment towards the others, Widowsting had no reason to bring them up to Ravenstar, he knew that his younger siblings were raised the same way.
Letting out a grunt, he knew that his mother Widowsting wouldn’t really want her back into Shadowclan. Of course, he couldn’t lead his clan based on his own personal feelings and judgements towards others.. If that was the case, Mercuryrose would had kicked out a lot of felines when she was deputy of Shadowclan.
“I’ll allow you to stay in Shadowclan, but we’re going to make a couple of things clear” Ravenstar began, his eyes remained narrowed towards her. “If you choose to leave Shadowclan once again, you will not be welcomed back here. I will let my deputy and warriors know. To return and leave multiple times while hurting your family in the process, doesn’t sit by me.” Ravenstar said, as he wanted warriors that will stay loyal and wanting to serve their clan happily. Of course there was a big elephant in the room as well “You will respect the choices of those who don’t want you in their lives, respect their boundaries.” Ravenstar said, hinting about Widowsting. Of course, he knew that Widowsting would have to be pulled aside and mention that Silverscreech would be staying in Shadowclan.
“If Widowsting doesn’t want you in her life, respect it. If she doesn’t want her kits to have a relationship with you.. You will understand why she made that decision.” Ravenstar said, as his mother’s happiness meant a lot to him. The Shadowclan leader didn’t have any time to play a therapist for Silverscreech and her family members, but if he would hear constant complaints then he would have to step in and intervene. The next matter of course was her companion, Briarfrost. “As for your friend, I don’t trust her. She betrayed her birth clan and decides to seek residence here.. I will have to speak with Desertstar about this situation, but one thing is for certain.. If she decides to commit any kind of treason, she will be chased out of Shadowclan. No excuses.” Ravenstar said before narrowing his eyes and rising on his paws
“I don’t want to hear any complaints about you or your companion. I’m giving you a chance to stay here, and I hope that you can prove your peers and myself wrong.” Ravenstar grunted before gesturing to the entrance of his den, he was expecting a report from Ryefield at any moment “I’ll find a mentor for your daughter and perform a ceremony, I would advise you join the hunting patrol this evening.” He said
Ravenstar Shadowclan Leader
His eyes were closed for a moment, in a deep thought. It had been a slightly challenging couple of months since becoming leader, and Ravenstar was still adjusting to it. There were never any instruction guides on how to become a leader.. He had to learn it on his own. His spirit guides were quite a challenge too, especially when blocking them out.. Waspsight had been teaching him to focus more on meditating in order to tune out their voices.
His golden eyes opened at a voice at the entrance of his den, his eyes narrowed slightly. Turning around, he saw Silverscreech at the entrance. Flicking his tail to signal for her to enter, the black tom watched her carefully. His adopted mother, Widowsting, had not been a fan of her mother that had recently returned to the clans.. The Shadowclan leader couldn’t forget when the small smoky molly returned from her stroll and fuming when making her way towards the nursery.
He never enjoyed seeing his mother in such a state of distress.
Widowsting and Mintstrike had been grieving over Mercuryrose, and they rightfully deserved the time for mourning. The last thing his family had needed was more roadblocks. While Widowsting was Ravenstar’s adopted mother, the black tom didn’t see any family ties with Silverscreeh or her other kits from Widowsting’s litter nor this new litter. It irked him even more that a traitor of Windclan had decided to step foot into Shadowclan and claim her loyalty to Aspenwood. Desertstar was very detailed on the names of traitors who were on Sandadder’s side when he was a warrior at the gathering.. Ravenstar didn’t take a liking to Briarfrost.
Having a deadbeat parent to his mother and a traitor to Windclan didn’t make Ravenstar overly fond, but he had to hear Silverscreech out before casting them aside. “Silverscreech.” Ravenstar said simply, his eyes remained narrowed while his feathery tail wrapped around his paws “I’m assuming you’re here to speak about your stay here in Shadowclan.” It wasn’t a question, a statement.
