Ravenstar
Shadowclan Leader
The sounds of branches collapsing from the fire had caused screams to be echoed from the forest. The flames were extremely intense, warriors and apprentices had been trying to extinguish the embers with dirt and mud, but it wasn’t working. “Shadowclan! You need to evacuate!” Ravenstar leaped on the high rock and shouted towards the cats that were scrambling. “Aspenwood, Mellowfrost and Ryefield.. Create small groups of apprentices and warriors. Aspenwood will lead his group to fetch the elders and lead them to safely, Mellowfrost’s group with the nursery.. Ryefield, take your group to help Waspsight and Woolypaw gather any herbs” Ravenstar said to the three below who had nodded.
Leaping down from the high rock, his body suddenly collided with another as one of the immortal ones had tackled themselves into him. It suddenly hit Ravenstar, he had fallen into their trap. Desertstar had came to him and Firestar about the immortal ones, and it had caused Shadowclan to double their security within the borders.. However, it appeared they had slipped past the borders and came into camp. “Shadowclan! Retreat!” Ravenstar yowled before suddenly kicking Lirael away from him. He knew their objective: kill Ravenstar.
He could only hold them for so long, but just until Shadowclan made it out of their camp safely. Ravenstar trusted Ryefield to ensure their clan’s survival and safety, they would be ok with her. “Pretty boy doesn’t have much to say, I love the dark and mysterious types.” Lirael purred coming towards him, but Ravenstar charged forward to sink his teeth into her throat and she screeched, her claws sinking into his sides which caused him to let out a hiss of pain.
At the corner of his eye, Ravenstar’s eyes widened slightly when seeing Kaelan stalking towards Widowsting, his mother, with Pythonpaw, Rosepaw and Leopardpaw beside her. Leopardpaw was coughing violently due to his asthma, Widowsting was trying to soothe him but kept her guard up. Rosepaw was in front of Widowsting, attempting to shield Widowsting from Kaelan. Widowsting nor the kits could escape because they were completely surrounded by the immortal ones. Kicking Liarel away, Ravenstar ran into Kaelan and tackled him to the ground. “Go!” Ravenstar shouted towards his family, to which they hesitated before Ravenstar pushed the leader of the immortal ones down “Mom! Go!” Ravenstar yowled, and watched as his family quickly fled. The immortal ones had let them go, just as he predicted.
The entire group was swarming him, as he was fighting Kaelan. There was no way that Ravenstar was coming out of this fight and he knew it. Taking his claws, his got Kaelan in the neck before slashing a piece of skin from the neck, causing blood to come out. Ravenstar needed to win this fight, he needed to ensure Shadowclan’s survival.
Ravenstar
Shadowclan Leader
Attempting to pin Kaelan down, Ravenstar grunted in frustration once the older tom stepped back. The huge black tom lunged forward, however it was too late and the Shadowclan leader didn’t see the stake in Kaelan’s mouth and couldn’t step back in time as the leader of the Immortal ones stabbed him in the chest with the sharp object. Letting out a loud shriek of pain, Ravenstar attempted to try to fight his way but the older tom moved forward and pushed him down, causing the stake to drive deeper into his skin and piercing into his heart. Gasping for air, Ravenstar’s eyes began feeling blurry.. The black tom’s teeth bared at the immortal one’s leader before the pain had overtaken him, before his eyes closed and his body went completely limp.
“Wake up” a voice said before Ravenstar released a groan, opening his eyes. His gaze scanned the area, the Shadowclan leader was surrounded by mist in the middle of a clearing. Biting the inside of his cheek, he looked over and saw his current spirit guide, Leafstorm, in front of him. “Ravenstar.” The brown tom greeted him, nodding in greetings while a small smile appeared on his lips. Padding closer to Ravenstar, the elderly spirit looked at the young leader before nodding in approval“ While you’re stubborn, hard-headed and sometimes annoying.. I couldn’t had been more proud of you” Leafstorm said, leaning to touch the Shadowclan’s leader shoulder with his nose
“I would had been proud to call you a grandson, with how you’ve been handling Shadowclan nicely and I can’t wait to see how our clan will grow.. From Starclan” Leafstorm said, chuckling in amusement at Ravenstar’s confusion. “You had lost your first life, and now I will be returning to Starclan as my unfinished business is resolved.. I will go to my internal peace.” Leafstorm said, before looking at Ravenstar’s features, studying him as if it was the last time they would see each other “We will meet again when you finally join Starclan, and I cannot wait to hear about the stories that you’ll have.” Leafstorm said before touching noses with Ravenstar
“Larkpaw.” Leafstorm said suddenly, Ravenstar opened his eyes to see the young apprentice standing behind Leafstorm and bounding towards the two of them, an excited smile on the spirit’s face. “It’s your time to shine, ensure Ravenstar doesn’t do anything stupid while you’re guiding him.” Leafstorm said before the young Thunderclan apprentice had a determined expression, before nodding “I’ll do my best!” Larkpaw said, before Leafstorm stepped back and suddenly padded more into the mist, before a flash appeared and Leafstorm was gone.
Larkpaw looked around for a moment, a confused expression on his face “You’re supposed to wake up now.. What’s happening?” Larkpaw questioned before looking around. They were still in the misty clearing. Unknowingly to the both of them, Ravenstar’s body was being carried off.. The stake was still in the heart.
They were stuck.
