Her heart had been in disarray for a while now. She knew that the feelings she had for Appleblossom were inappropriate, not because the other feline was also a woman but because she was from ThunderClan, WindClan's rival for moons now. It was against the warrior code and it was against her Clan's morals to be so close to a cat from ThunderClan. Rationally, Airheart knew this and she knew that giving up on the creamy calico was something she had to do, and yet... Her very soul ached for her. To be with her. She couldn't fight it, no matter how much she wanted to. But she also couldn't choose between Appleblossom and WindClan. Not to mention Goldensun, the tom who she was sure to wed one day in the future. Though, she felt like she couldn't progress her relationship with him when there was a part of her that so strongly yearned for another.
An exhausted sigh left the pale tabby, her struggles carried with the breeze that swept through their camp grounds. There was so much pressure on her shoulders to be perfect, between being the deputy's daughter and the Clan leader's apprentice, it felt like excellence was expected of her. If her Clan knew that she was secretly meeting with a warrior of ThunderClan, how would they react? Would they shun her, ask her to leave the Clan, regardless of how much she had given them? Airheart's posture slumped and she groaned. I wish I knew what to do...
Dayfall
Windclan Warrior
Dayfall’s eyebrows furrowed for a moment at his younger sister’s words, the two-toned ginger tom had remained silent and his bi-colored ember gaze shifted to the ground at the news. It was as if the universe and Starclan were laughing at both Dayfall and Airheart, the irony of their situations. A chuckle escaped the massive tom, shaking his head in amusement before looking at Airheart with a gentle smile on his face “Looks like we’re more similar than I thought.” Dayfall said, his eyes shining in amusement. Who knew that two siblings would find a lover in the same exact clan. It was forbidden to love from another clan, but the heart wanted otherwise.
“Her name is Beakrose, she’s a Thunderclan warrior.” Dayfall said, looking towards the direction of the Thunderclan forest. It was silent between the two felines for a moment, his eyebrows furrowed and facial expression was longing for the beautiful molly that resided in Thunderclan. “We had met when we were apprentices, she crashed into me when a squirrel crossed the border.. Knew I was in trouble the moment I saw her” Dayfall said with a bashful smile, rubbing the back of his head with a paw as he recalled the moment that himself and Beakrose had met.
“We had been together for almost a season now.” Dayfall confessed, biting the inside of his cheek. A sigh escaped his nostrils before shaking his head slightly before looking down once more “Neither of us had made the move in asking one of us to join the other’s clan.. I don’t want to leave Windclan because of you, Dad and Wolfflame.” The ginger tom explained, giving his younger sister a reassuring look. Dayfall wouldn’t leave his family nor Windclan, it would never happen. However, he wished that Beakrose would take the leap of faith and finally join Windclan. Perhaps it was the selfish feeling within Dayfall, but Beakrose wasn’t that close with her family members but Bonesnatcher.. So it would be easy for Beakrose to be with him and both of them could have a fresh start in Windclan.
“Anyways, enough about me.. Tell me about the lucky Feline.” Dayfall said with a reassuring smile on his face, his feathery tail wrapping neatly around his front paws. “Trust me, I won’t tell dad if you won’t.” Dayfall teased, making light of the situation.
Dayfall
Windclan Warrior
The two toned ginger tom was sitting there for a moment, his bi-colored ember eyes were staring into nothing as Dayfall was spacing out. It had been a couple of days since he had last seen Beakrose, and it was getting to his head at this point that his mate needed to join Windclan. The massive tom knew that Beakrose didn’t have much in Thunderclan, she only had a close relationship with her brother Bonesnatcher. Letting out a small scoff, the massive ginger tom was shaking his head slightly. Dayfall couldn’t leave home, he couldn’t leave his family. It was a constant battle, having loyalty towards Beakrose but also towards Windclan, and it was starting to affect his daily schedule.
Looking up, he noticed his younger sister at the clearing. It appeared there was something on her mind. Airheart had been acting off as well, Dayfall just couldn’t tell what was wrong. He adored his younger sisters, Dayfall had probably had a much closer bond with them than his relationship with Pineshadow before the dark tom left. Observing the cream tabby, his eyebrows furrowed for a moment as he noticed Airheart was spacing out, almost looking dazed. Getting up, Dayfall stretched before making his way towards his baby sister and bumped into her gently “Come on, I need to release some stamina at the moors. It’s driving me crazy staying here.” The two toned ginger tom mumbled, his eyes narrowed slightly before leading the younger Windclan warrior towards the entrance of camp.
Once the two had made their way towards the direction of the moors, Dayfall looked back to ensure that no one had followed them before raising an eyebrow when his gaze returned to his sister “Something is on your mind, you look distracted like me.” Dayfall teased lightly, knowing that statement was true. Looking towards the sunset, the massive tom bit the inside of his cheek and shook his head slightly “Listen, whatever is on your mind.. You can always tell me, I promise that I’ve always have an open ear and mind when it comes to you and Wolfflame.” He said, a warm smile on his face. It wasn’t until the two of them made it towards the moor and he leaped on a flatrock and sat down for a moment. Letting out a small sigh of relief, it was almost relaxing to be away from the others.. Because in all honesty? The truth of having a Thunderclan mate was almost eating him alive.
