As the tabby calico apprentice of WindClan entered the bustling camp from the apprentices' den, her fur was still slightly damp from the morning dew. The familiar scents of her clanmates and the surrounding moorland greet her nose- a comforting smell, and a sigh of content escapes her.
Rosepaw takes a moment to survey the camp, the air is filled with the sounds of breeze and softly spoken conversations between clanmates. Deciding to take a leisurely stroll around camp before settling down, she bounces gracefully along the well-worn paths, her fluffy tail held high.
Finding a quiet spot not far from the fresh-kill pile, the apprentice finally settle down to groom herself, licking her fur to remove any traces of dirt or moss debris from her nest. The rhythmic sound of her tongue against her fur is soothing, causing a small purr to rumble in her throat. As Rosepaw basks in the warmth of the sun, she felt a sense of contentment and belonging wash over her.
Born in this clan or not… right now, in this moment, surrounded by her clanmates and the comforting presence of their camp, she is grateful to be a part of such a noble and resilient clan. She missed her sister back in ShadowClan, whom in which she’d always been close with. But this felt more like home than the piney territories ever did.
Her fur rippled in the gentle breeze that blows through camp. Rosepaw's green eyes shine brightly in curiosity as she peers towards her newly found companion. Looking Plumpaw over for a brief moment, the she-cat allows a warm smile to tug at her features. "Hello." She greeted softly, a grin tugging at her features, white whiskers twitching with excitement- she always enjoys meeting cats she's never spoken with before. As he offers to share his prey, she parts her lips to respond- to agree, however as he continued on to say that he could probably eat the whole thing, Rosepaw thinks better of it, closing her maw and shaking her head. "No, I'm okay! Thanks though... and don't worry, your secrets safe with me." She mused, grinning towards Plumpaw. She moves a paw to brush through the fur on her chest, claws unsheathing as she does so, making sure to tug out any knots in her soft pelt. He continued on to introduce himself- as if she didn't know who her own clanmates were, regardless of time spent together in the same den, and explain he too wasn't born in WindClan. "Oh? Thats cool, I guess!" She responded and flicked one of her paper-thin ears. "Uhh- I'm Rosepaw." She said, just incase he didnt know her name. "So, hows your training going?" the elder apprentice asked politely.
The young russet and cream tom yawned as he walked through the camp entrance, having just returned from dawn training with his mentor. Plumpaw never really liked to wake up early, he could sleep well past sun-high if given the chance, but the apprentice was also desperate to prove himself a worthy warrior, and if that meant waking up early, so be it. Plus, Coyoteleap always found ways to make their training sessions fun.
After his mentor gave him the okay, Plumpaw walked towards the fresh-kill pile, belly rumbling. Grabbing a small, yet plump rabbit, the tom looked around to see who he could join before his dark eyes fell upon Rosepaw. Plumpaw realized he didn't know the calico molly very well, but had heard that she was from Shadowclan. The windclan apprentice approached Rosepaw, curious about her past and happy to make a new friend.
"Hi!" He started cheerfully, voice muffled due to the rabbit in his jaws, and tail curled in an almost oblivious delight. "Mind if I sit with you? We can share if you want some. If not, that's fine, I could probably eat this whole thing myself -" Plumpaw paused, wide-eyed, "-but don't tell anyone if I do."
Settling beside the she-cat, he leaned in to take a bite before pulling his head back, "I'm Plumpaw by the way." He paused as if debating whether to speak or not. He wanted to relate to the apprentice, especially because he wasn't born in Windclan either, not that he could remember anything other than Windclan. And although Plumpaw was a rather ignorantly blissful type, he never wanted someone in his clan to feel left out or alone. "I uh.. I was born outside of Windclan too"
