Wispshadow Skyclan Warrior The light ginger tabby tom was grumbling quietly to himself as he strolled out of the warrior den, some of his fur was wet from the pieces of snow that Solarkit and Magmakit had snuck into his den a couple of moments ago, which ended up with Wispshadow sitting on top of it and the two kits running out of the warrior’s den and laughing loudly as they exclaimed that Wispshadow had wet himself. Firestar’s kits were extremely cheeky when they wanted to be, and his spawn was getting more daring with each new litter. Cursing mentally to himself, Wispshadow was shaking his fur until the droplets were flying.. Except, the drops of water were flinging at Brackenwing. Oh stars, he would have to hear Brackenwing’s annoying voice now.
There was something about the golden tabby that irked the light ginger tom. It was perhaps the way that Brackenwing carried herself, or it was her personality that rubbed Wispshadow the wrong way. Although the small molly was quite a looker, Wispshadow didn’t want to be involved with her. While his green eyes were narrowed when looking at the molly, Wispshadow let out a snort before starting to make his way towards the fresh-kill pile. Passing by the small molly, the tom muttered “Be careful of your surroundings, one isn’t a good warrior without being more observing.” Wispshadow mused, rolling his eyes when passing by her. However, upon hearing her pawsteps quickly following after him.. A string of curse words escaped him.
Wispshadow was in for it now.
The large light ginger warrior kept making his way towards the fresh-kill pile, pretending to ignore the golden beauty. If Brackenwing was ignored, perhaps she would leave him alone. Wispshadow’s pace grew slightly faster, knowing he was about to be murdered by Brackenwing when she finally had gotten to him. “I’m busy, go away!” Wispshadow said, knowing it would probably add more fuel to the fire but he was already in that hot water from her.

"No, not at all." Brackenwing huffed, her tail lashing as she followed along behind him, shouldering past to carry on ahead of him. Wispshadow could follow her, she was going to lead this hunting trip, whatever it took. She couldn't just let him guide her, she had to prove to her clanmates how strong and assertive she was, of course.
"Issues?!" The golden she-cat pinned back her ears, glaring at the tom as she fell more in step beside him as they left the camp. How dare he? Saying she had issues! But at the same time, it made her heart flutter somewhat that he truly didn't seem to... remember. Remember the big betrayal she had made when she was just a jaded apprentice who couldn't pass her warrior assessment. Before she could stop herself, the words crept to her tongue and slipped out, "...Do you not remember? What happened?" It had been the talk of the apprentice den for a while when she had first failed her assessment, and then the second and third times it had been even moreso.
And the whole clan got involved when she ran away.
But then she trailed off when she picked up the squirrel scent too, dropping into a crouch. Her gaze fixed on him, and she didn't wait for long before she started creeping forward. She looked back at him, and wordlessly mouthed.
I got this, fluff-brain.

“Well, you're gonna keep on staring at me until the moon rises?” Wispshadow said, his ember eyes were narrowed when turning back to look at the smaller molly. The taller male wasn’t sure if this molly was dropped on her head when Brackenwing was merely a kit! The beautiful golden molly was too bird brain for him!
“Let’s go” Wispshadow mumbled, rolling his eyes and kept on moving. This molly was a ton of work to deal with, no wonder she was Firestar’s daughter. Grumbling, the large tom turned around and began walking towards to the entrance of the Skyclan camp without saying anything to the guards.
He had priorities and that was to feed his clan!
“So what’s the deal with you anyways? You seem like some alright molly, except you seem to have tons of issues.” Wispshadow muttered, clearly not seeing that there wasn’t anything wrong with him either. To Wispshadow, he was a very dependable warrior who was actually a pretty capable role model while being a good family member and friend.
The scent of squirrel had hit his nose, and his ears perked up while his eyes narrowed at Brackenwing. It was a silent competition, who would be able to catch the little creature first?

The golden molly visibly bristled as Wispshadow dismissed her so quickly. Her lip curled into a snarl, and she lashed her tail in utter fury. To suggest she had nothing better to do, and could afford to slack off and watch water dry...?! And that she would want to impress him. The she-cat scoffed, looking away and tilting her nose upward to avoid looking at him directly.
"I am not trying to impress you, at all!" She hissed, through clenched teeth. "Unlike some members of this clan, I want to make sure all of my clanmates are fed." Looking back at him, a frown crossed her face and she pouted, just a little. It was an unintentional thing, just a product of her scowl, but...
"So, Starclan forgive me for thinking one of my clanmates would think the same, as fluff-brained as you are." She snorted.
Brackenwing had to admit, she was very tempted to swipe him across the nose at his latter comment, but his change of mind made her eyes widen and she blinked her initial surprise away hastily. "...Right. Fine. Come on, let's go." Brackenwing wasted very little time turning tail and racing out of camp.
Just why had his sudden change of heart made her feel so strange?

The she-cat had been grooming herself outside of the warriors' den, and had somehow managed to miss her younger siblings heading in to torment Wispshadow with some of the snow that had settled around the camp. Or perhaps, she had deliberately ignored them to let them get away with it. The latter was more likely. But the golden molly regretted it as soon as the ginger tom sprayed her with the very same water that had been soaked into his pelt.
Visibly bristling, the she-cat's tail twitched irritably, and is words caused her nostrils to flare. Such indignant behaviour hadn't been directed at her for moons, not since she was back with the rogues who she had run away to seek approval from. Wispshadow couldn't get away with that terrible attitude.
"You're not busy." Her voice was soft, yet cold as she followed quickly behind him. "You're just humiliated because you let kits cover you in snow." Her sharp eyes narrowed as she continued, mocking his muttered tone from moments ago. "Be careful of your surroundings," She added more silly emphasis to the words. "One isn't a good warrior without being more observing!" Brackenwing scoffed indignantly. Many of her clanmates were still afraid of her, and with how she paced after Wispshadow like she was heading to war, perhaps she could see why. It didn't help that she was the daughter of the clan leader and his mate- many cats presumed her egotistical and uppity.
Brackenwing snorted, speeding up enough to cut the tom's escape path off, and stare up at him with that same calculating gaze she would give prey whilst hunting.
"Why don't you prove to me you can still be a good warrior." She half-sneered. "If kits can creep up on you, maybe I should start doubting your hunting abilities too."
