To say Hareflight was nervous was a bit of an understatement. She was a cat who was always nervous, but strolling into the camp of a Clan ShadowClan had been feuding with was an entirely different beast. Regardless, she was here to see Peachblossom, as she had always done and she just had to hope Hawkstar would understand. Besides, even if Hareflight wasn't a medicine cat anymore, Peachblossom would never let anything to happen to her. Trying to channel the bravery of her best friend, Hareflight sucked in a deep breath, raising her chin and trying to keep her paws steady as she marched into ThunderClan's camp.
Hareflight had planned to march straight towards Peachblossom's den, but the plan fell apart the moment she spotted a dilute calico out of the corner of her eye. She blinked a few times, turning her head towards the figure and her stumped tail gave a twitch as she stared on. Almost without her permission, she took a step forward, the word jumping out of her mouth before she could stop it, "Bunny-?" Hareflight cut herself short, realizing she didn't even know what this cat would be called now. She was so grown now. For a moment, Hareflight stood in shock, processing how quickly time had gone on. It wasn't like Hareflight had deluded herself; she knew her and Peach weren't apprentices anymore. But somehow, retired and with kits of her own, seeing Peach's kit all grown up and living her own life made the passage of time feel so much more real.
Hareflight blinked a few times, realizing she was still staring at the other cat. "I-I'm sorry, I just.. uh... I'm Hareflight. W-We met once, um, but y-you wouldn't remember." Hareflight realized she had started to ramble and winced. "Wh-What I mean is, uh, how- how are you doing?"

The she-cat had been playing with one of the clan's kits when she heard her name, ears perking up instantly, and turning quickly to face the unrecognised voice. Taking in the sight of the former medicine cat, Bunnyskip tilted her head and allowed her to continue introducing herself. Bunnyskip had never been to a gathering- she hadn't seen Hareflight outside of occasional fleeting moments when her mother was visited by her, however she had never asked for her name.
But when Hareflight introduced herself fully, it made a lot more sense. Deep in the recesses of her mind, the other she-cat's scent smelled... familiar, in a way. A very fuzzy, unreadable memory in the back of her mind brought it back to her alongside the scent of her mother's milk, but little more.
"You're right, I don't really remember, but your scent smells a little familiar..." Bunnyskip's ears drooped as she frowned, but quickly brightened again as she padded over to sit beside Hareflight. "I'm doing okay," She added, shyly. "I remember my mom talking about you sometimes...I've been a warrior for a little while now, my name's Bunnyskip." Smiling warmly at Hareflight, she curled her tail over her paws.
"I still can't really do as much as most warriors, but... I'm starting to learn. I've not been coughing as much, it feels like my chest is clear, and... my heart feels stronger." Thanks to Pagan, more than any clanmate... the loner tom encouraged her to go out more, and work on her skills instead of laying around in camp feeling bad for herself... Just thinking about him made her blush. "So I'm doing... as well as I probably could be."
