Loud calls from all sorts of animals could be heard all around the camp clearing the sun well overhead as soft fluffy clouds dotted the pale blue skies. The rebuilding of the camp had been well underway. if not not being near completion. The recent snowstorm had left the camp in shambles, assuming that the other clans had a similar situations. The tan and gray molly had gracefully entered the camp, a sparrow hanging limp in her maw as she stalked forward toward the freshkill pile. She had a tendency in keeping herself busy throughout the day, the thought of lazing about really made her skin crawled, the reason behind that was certainly undenounced to her.
Dropping the creature on top of the pile she turned away letting her amber hues scan her surroundings her whiskers quivering slightly, a soft hum coming from her as she let her thoughts bounce about as she went through everything she knew needed to get done before the day ran out. It wasn't until she had overheard the small chatter occurring between the medicine cats did her thoughts stop. Ears flickering slightly as she heard mentions of a potential dog scent happening while the young apprentice was out collecting herbs. Tilting her head to the side a bit she slank forward a bit, "I don't mean to be eavesdropping, but if you think you smelled dog while being out and a bout I could lead a patrol to see if they're still around? The last thing I'd want is for anything bad to happen. We've had enough things happening in the last few moons..." She trailed off a soft sigh leaving her parted lips. "Plus we could also go for another border patrol anywho so we can do that before reporting back to you as well." She added next a small smile tugging at her lips.
When it was all said and done the feline dipped her head in farewell as she turned to gather a few cats to come along with her, soft amber hues drug across the clearing before landing on a few who seemed to be laying about or waiting for their mentors and such. Ever since the leader had disappeared a few days ago it had left the clan in a state of confusion. But as they say, things must go on surely the tom would turn up any day now. Smiling to herself she walked over towards Tigerpaw, and Bisonpaw, "Good afternoon fellas, I was wondering if you guys would like to come with me out on patrol? Figpaw had caught scent of dogs while they were out collecting herbs this morning and I'd like to make sure that they aren't around anymore. Last thing we need is one of those guys coming and going through our territory." She softly started out.
"I can explain to your mentors the chance I see them so you guys don't get in trouble for going off alone. I plan on asking Nettlebreeze if he'd like to join as well so in case we come across it we have some good will power so what do you guys say? Care to join?" She asked cocking a brow as she let her gaze shift from one feline to the other. Hopefully they'd decide soon the more they sat around the likelihood any evidence would be gone.

The molly couldn't help but let out a soft chuckle a small smile dusting her features, "How about this Bisonpaw once we're done with the dog search and border patrol if there's time and your mentor hasn't come back I can take you out to do some battle training? So you can get best of both worlds. Training is important but so is protecting the borders to our clan who knows you could end up running into someone one of these days?" She mused softly cocking a brow at him. The feline before reminded her a lot of herself, always ready to go out and learn how to fight the best she could and not caring much about her other tasks one would learn as an apprentice. It made her chest warm with happiness for the younger generation
Hearing that spark of interest click in Tigerpaw's voice she dipped her head towards him, "Thank you very much Tigerpaw! Now lets see who else I can see is willing to come along.... Last thing I want is for any of you two to get hurt if we do manage to run into one... They're seriously no joke....hmmm.." She said softly before turning her head over her shoulder, letting her amber hues shift around the clearing seeing what warriors were still here.
It wasn't that she didn't see the apprentices not able to handle themselves and clearly seeing how apparent Bisonpaw appeared to be about battle training she was sure he would be able to handle themselves. Regardless she have witnessed and heard some pretty bad things when a true dog encounter happened some going as far to loosing their life. Shivering slightly at that thought she sighed to herself, She refused to let that happen not now anyways.
Gaze landing on Nettlebreeze and lightningwind chatting amongst themselves she let out a soft gasp, "Be right back dears, stay here I'll be right back!" She chirped padding towards the toms a wide grin taking its place on her face. "Good afternoon fellas! I was wondering if either of you guys are willing to come with me, Bisonpaw and Tigerpaw on a patrol? Figpaw said they had smelled dogs about while herb hunting and I would like to see if they're still around as well as check the borders while we are out. " She explained shuffling from paw to paw.
The chocolate feline paused when he heard the molly approach, blue hues shifting towards them as he slowly pushed himself up from his laying position. Ears flickering as a gentle breeze tugged at them, "Sure why not, I really don't have anything other then dusk patrol." He simply stated with a shrug casting a gaze to the other to see what they may say. Mossyrose smiled towards the other dipping her head towards him a little before shifting her gaze over to the other, if they were willing to join along then they'd be on their way.

Another boring day.
The tabby apprentice had settled among some of his denmates that still lingered within the walls of camp, feeling yawn after yawn dancing on the tip of his tongue that he found himself fighting off. Perhaps he had stayed up too late, not that he was willing to admit to himself or anyone else - but hey, not everyone could be a morning bird right? Surely night owls had their place in clan functions too? It may have been the mantra repeated in his head, but that didn’t make the slight sense of isolation feel any better, both his own mentor and siblings absent when his neck craned to get a quick look around, a small frown of displeasure settling into his maw.
Soon enough another voice would finally spare him, pulling him from the dulled space of boredom in his own head. ”Suppose so.“ he muttered in response to Bisonpaw, shadows of the filtered sunlight through tree canopy dancing across the angles of his face. Gradually he had been growing out of that downy kitten fur, coat becoming more spiked and disheveled as his frame began to finally fit those oversized paws, broad shoulders looking… slightly less awkward. Relief came in the form of Mossyrose, sparing the apprentice the task of trying to wrack an under stimulated brain for some further sort of response to offer his companion, ears twitching at her words.
Dog?
Well now, this was something he could work with. The tempered, dull veil over his eyes lifted, golden sparks catching flame as he rose to all fours. This sounded leagues better than trying to perfect his hunter‘s crouch, or whatever, so his eager nod probably didn’t come as any surprise. “I’m in.“ He agreed, choosing to gloss over the side comment from Bisonpaw about protecting them, feeling it was a bit too annoying to address in his current state of mind.
No matter, it was time to go!
Bisonpaw was ready to get this day started, though admittedly it's because he had slept in all day. Oxpaw had kept him up all night with his shenanigans. He seriously was going to have to move his nest if Oxpaw kept it up, but he'd miss his brother too much if he did. His limbs stretching one his way out of the apprentice's den, his nose scrunching up at the sight of his mother and her apprentice, Figpaw, in a serious discussion. It seemed recently whenever she was having her little meeting with Figpaw something bad was on its way. A hefty sigh rolling off his muzzle, turning tail to join the other apprentice, Tigerpaw, it seemed like he missed the first crowd who were already out training with their mentors. “Did you miss the morning call for training as well?” His mentor made it clear that if he wasn’t awake to train with the others he’d be stuck back at camp until they returned, unless he could convince another warrior to take him out.
Mossyrose approaching caught the tom cat off guard, the perfect chance to sweet talk her into taking him out for battle training practice, it was hard to say no to his adorable face, or perhaps it was the fact that he was Peachblossoms son that made it hard for cats to say no. Feeling his mother watching him, Bisonpaw ensured to show his manners to the cat, offering a small nod to Mossyrose. “Patrol? Sounds boring I'd rather do battle training instead.” His voice spoke up to cut the molly off at the mention of something he’d considered boring. His ears twitching at her words when she continued, a dog? Could be interesting. “Alright I suppose I could tag along to protect you both then. I'm not scared of any dog.” Puffing out his chest the apprentice bounded towards the exit to camp, the lashing motion of his tail encouraging the others to move along quickly. A quiet chuckling falling out of his muzzle, just wait until Oxpaw finds out that I got to fight a dog, hes going to be so jealous.
