Desertstar
Leader of Windclan
A heavy mist hung over The Ghostly Flats, the morning air thick with humidity and the scent of rain. It had been a few weeks since the gathering, and Desertstar moved silently alongside Cometchaser as they made their way towards the highstone— the very rock she stood upon when her daughter revealed her treachery in front of all the clans. The leader couldn’t help but shudder thinking about it. It felt strange coming back to this place, the mood much heavier and more oppressive, and she quietly wondered if the grief and anger she felt would ever go away. Taking a steadying breath, she caught a glimpse of her reflection in a passing puddle. She looked exhausted. Her face was more gaunt than usual and there were dark circles under her eyes. After all, sleep had not come easy for Desertstar since the gathering, and understandably so. Her daughter had betrayed the entire forest; betrayed her own mother. What had happened to her sweet, innocent daughter? Where did things go so horribly wrong? Desertstar collected herself, dashing away the tears that threatened to spill over before anyone could see them. She needed to pull herself together.
Jumping atop the stone, her eyes brightened some, happy to see that Firestar and Auroraskies had made it. She truthfully felt more at ease knowing that Skyclan would be offering their help. The situation itself was already very difficult for her, knowing she would be up against her own child. “It’s nice to see the both of you,” she inclined her head into a bow before taking a seat in front of them, wrapping her long tail around her paws, “Hopefully the others will arrive soon so we can discuss a plan.”
Auroraskies
The black and golden molly was looking towards Hawkstar for a moment, her eyebrows furrowed for a moment as she bit the inside of her cheek. Auroraskies still had her morals, but she was certainly glad that Firestar didn’t offer himself to become a distraction.. Aurora would have been too stubborn and attempted to join him or would have refused him, she didn’t care how many lives her mate had.. Aurora wasn’t going to witness him losing another life again, she already lost so much because of the serial killer. Letting out a soft hum, she looked towards the black tom and the Shadowclan deputy “One thing that is sure.. Renly loves to watch others suffer, it doesn’t matter how much damage is done towards a feline.. Li-” Aurora stopped herself from mentioning Twilightstrike, his nickname was Light.. A light in their lives that was taken too soon from her entire family.
“If we have a trail that Hawkstar creates, he’ll follow into the caves.. We just need to let him assume that Hawkstar is traveling to Windclan to share news with Desertstar, but perhaps got hurt.. That’s when Mellowfrost and his patrol come in, to lead Renly into the trap.” Aurora said, turning towards Firestar, looking for approval. It wasn’t until the ginger tom moved that she looked towards Desertstar and placed her paw on her friend’s “They will keep an eye out on your daughter, and hopefully they can intervene and perhaps convince her to come home.” Aurora said softly, hoping that perhaps Desertrain’s love for Renly was just physical attraction.. But little did she know, that wasn’t the case at all.
As the others were speaking and planning, she looked over at Firestar who was looking back at her. Her small paw went towards his massive one and held on to it with a reassuring smile on her face. Before, she had nothing.. Only her siblings.. But now, she had Firestar.. Their kits, Their home. Letting out a small sigh, she hoped that this plan worked.. Because she wouldn’t know what to do if it doesn’t. It was soon settled by Firestar and Desertstar that they would have another meeting in a couple of days about which felines would join the patrol along with the full plan. Moving to embrace her younger brother, Aurora moved to embrace Desertstar as well before nodding farewell and one by one, everyone left.
What would happen next?
Firestar |The Courageous Lion of Skyclan|
It pained Firestar to see Auroraskies heart breaking for her sister, it was a terrible way for her and Cometchaser to find out about Mercuryrose’s tragic demise. Holding her close, silently appreciating the other felines around them giving his mate a moment to grieve and collect herself. His attention flickers over at Desertstar, noticing her paw comfortingly on Aurora’s. He could tell by their silence exchange, that the two mollies had a deep understanding for one another. Giving Desertstar a grateful look before giving his mate a kiss upon her forehead as she gives him a reassuring look and kiss upon his cheek to let him know that she would be okay. Sighing softly through his nose as the reason for their meeting is brought back into the spotlight. It would seem that his suggestion in trapping the ripper bastard was the most logical solution, even though Juncostar seemed skeptical. He could not blame the Shadowclan leader as it was apparent that defeating Renly would be no easy feat.
Firestar sat back and let the felines around him discuss the best coarse of action on how to trap the mountain of a feline. Humming in thought at the suggestion of using the tunnels, it was not a bad idea. It was remote and away from causing any casualties within the clans, especially since Shadowclan’s camp is now centered within the mountains. Ears perking up as he listens to Aurora, Comet, and Mellow argue and suggest on how to lure Renly into the tunnels. He was secretly thankful that his mate hadn’t suggested being the one to trap Renly the Ripper. Fire would have flat out denied her, he could not risk the love of his life, especially after learning the Mercuryrose was murdered by the psychopath. Seemed like Mellowfrost was up for the task, it surprised the leader as he remembered how careless he had been when he was Shadowclan deputy.
Turning his bicolored gaze towards Hawkstar, arching a brow as he listens intently to what the new leader has to say. So he is willing to play the distraction? “Now what will catch the attention of Renly and lure him into the tunnels? I know the bastard is blood thirsty and crazy, but what is something that he could not refuse even if he suspected the trap?” He could not help but ask, his question being directed towards Auroraskies and Cometchaser in particular as they knew the crazed mind of Renly the Ripper.
Hawkstar listened in uncharacteristic silence. Losing a life had knocked him down a few pegs, to be certain. He deferred his attention to Auroraskies, who’d claimed to have knowledge of the twisted creature Renly. Hm, she must be kin to Mercuryrose. He thought, after a few minutes of observing the pretty tortoiseshell. Hell of a lot nicer though. He kept these thoughts to himself, of course. Disparaging a cat missing in action was hardly sporting, even if she’d been a thorn in his side from the day they’d met.
“Hmm…” He intoned thoughtfully, as the plan began to take shape. “I do agree that trapping him is best– if Auroraskies says so, she would know better than all of us. Though I can’t help but feel it might be difficult to lure him into an enclosed space. He’d know we have the advantage there. But perhaps we can entice him with what he so desperately desires…”
He shuffled his paws, for once thinking before he spoke.
“We’d need a distraction. Cats who can get his attention. And perhaps, if there is some way, the scent of blood might cause him to give leaves of his senses. I’d be happy to bloody myself for his attention, I’ve lives to spare if it goes poorly.” Though he shrugged as if this was of small account, the very thought of dying again had Hawkstar petrified. But when he thought back to the mangled shells of his Clanmates, he knew it was a small price to pay to see that no other living creature met such a fate.
“And honestly, Mellowfrost,” He flicked his tail, some of his old ire returning to his tone. “We’re dealing with a deranged killer. I think ethics left the territories after the first bodies were found, don’t you?”

Auroraskies had felt tears coming down her eyes, but felt her mate bringing her in close until her face was buried into his broad chest and she began crying. The black and golden molly was releasing her sorrows, the memories of herself and Mercuryrose had entered her mind. Herself and the Shadowclan deputy had been through hell and back, literally. Feeling Firestar holding her close, she suddenly felt someone’s paw on her own and looked to see Desertstar’s own paw. The look that was exchanged between the two females, the silent conversation both of them were having. Both of them had lost felines that were important to each of them.. Her golden paw went towards Desertstar’s own, squeezing it gently while giving a small nod to her friend. Aurora was going to support the Windclan leader in any way, just as she knew the Bengal female would support her. “Thank you.” Aurora whispered softly to Desertstar before looking towards her mate and leaning up to kiss his cheek gently, showing that she was okay and the molly was grateful for her mate’s support.
Turning until her back was resting on her mate’s chest as Aurora was leaning against her mate, she looked at Desertstar with a small nod “It will be perfect, it will be harder for him to move around due to his size.. We just need to figure out how to lure him in.” Aurora said and it wasn’t until Mellowfrost spoke up quietly “Are you suggesting that we do send some cats to lure him into the trap? Wouldn’t that be a little unethical?” The deputy questioned and Aurora was silent for a moment until Orion spoke “I can do it, I’m quick enough.” Cometchaser said before Aurora looked towards him with a cold look, which caused Orion to quickly become quiet. “May I need to remind you that you have a pregnant mate at home, who is currently in your medicine cat den.. Do you want to jumpstart her labor, or even worse, have her raise them on her own?” Aurora questioned sharply, her violet-amber eyes were narrowed.
“Size and speed doesn’t matter, Twilightstrike was about your size and had your mother’s speed but he couldn’t escape Renly.” Aurora observed to which Orion nodded, Mellowfrost froze for a moment at the name. The spirit that helped guide him back to the living after his drowning. The cream tabby deputy was silent for a moment before speaking up “Let me do it, if you have others that would like to volunteer themselves.. Send them my way.” Mellowfrost said, before ignoring the glance that Juncostar gave him. It was foolish, Mellowfrost had three mates and kits, but also he owed a debt.. Twilightstrike helped him, Mellowfrost would avenge his death. Looking at the other leaders, he calmly asked “You have any inputs in this? Because so far, Desertstar’s plan sounds reasonable.” He said, knowing the Bengal’s leader was the most reasonable
Desertstar
Leader of Windclan
When she didn’t see Mercuryrose with Juncostar, an uneasiness crept over her. ‘This can’t be good,’ she thought. Unable to do anything but listen, though, she watched as Auroraskies asked where her sister was, and sucked in a trembling breath when she was met with the most unfortunate answer. Renly had killed her. Desertstar turned to stare up at the sky and allow Auroraskies a moment to grieve without an audience. Drops of rain fell softly onto her narrow face, and she awkwardly adjusted the weight of her body onto her other paw as she tried to block out the sounds of crying and the haunting, undeniably terrifying fact that all of them had a target on their back. After the gathering, no one was safe, and this was just the beginning.
When Desertstar finally turned her weary gaze to Auroraskies, the raw emotion she found in the Skyclan she-cat’s eyes made her heart twist painfully. Favoring her with a sympathetic look, the Windclan leader reached for her paw with her own, placing it on top of Auroraskies as if to say ‘I’m here’ without actually saying it. There were no words for what she was going through. To lose a sibling in such a way, especially with how close they were… she couldn’t even begin to think of how hard that would be. Just as quickly as Auroraskies had fallen apart, though, she watched as the Skyclan she-cat pieced herself back together as if she’d never been broken.
Desertstar cleared her throat, deciding to let her friend bury her emotions for now and quietly answering “yes,” in response, then nodded in silent agreement with Firestar when he suggested trapping Renly. It was truthfully the more logical approach when dealing with an unpredictable, bloodthirsty murderer. Then, when Juncostar commented on Firestar’s suggestion, an idea came to mind. “Well,” she began, trying not to sound as exhausted as she felt, “What if he doesn’t know it’s a trap?” her eyes looked to each of them, “What if we make it look like we’re using the old tunnels to safely communicate with each other, and lure him in by making him think that he’s figured us out. Right now it isn’t safe to travel, not even in groups, and Renly knows that.”
Juncostar
shadowclan leader
(he/him)
Juncostar hated leaving his brother to explain to Mercuryrose's family what had happened to her, but he found his lips practically sealed as he hung his head in shame at the despair on Auroraskies' face. "I-- I should've been there," he mumbled, shoulders slumping, "I'm sorry." His only reprieve from such well-deserved guilt was when Hawkstar settled himself close, bringing with him an odd sense of comfort. It was a kind of guilt that could be settled when it came to the ThunderClan leader; he could fix his wrongs because the other tom was still here. It certainly made it more manageable.
Finally raising his gaze at Cometchaser's question on Ravenclaw, Juncostar flinched. "He's not feelin' too hot, I'm sure," he broke, "But we've all been try'na help out and pick up the pieces. We're all feelin' it, but I know he's probably hurting more than any of us. We're all just try'na help him as much as we can." Head hanging once more, he fell silent as he awaited the start of the meeting.
He remained silent as Desertstar announced the beginning of their discussion, ears flicking as he listened intently. At Firestar's suggestion that they trap and contain him, though, the ShadowClanner couldn't help but scoff. "Yeah, let's just find a twoleg trap and throw him in it, right?" he muttered, rolling his eyes. As though it would be that easy. How could they hope to get this guy cornered?
Firestar |The Courageous Lion of Skyclan|
Firestar takes silent note of just how worn the wind clan leader was, the last few weeks having drained the once lively leader. Not commenting on her appearance, knowing that would only cause more harm than good, no they needed to get straight to the point. To kill the head of the snake, hoping the body would perish along with it. Nodding in respect towards Auroraskies brother, Cometchaser, before his bi-colored gaze flickers over towards Juncostar and Mellowfrost. Tensing slightly as he instantly notices the absence of the black and rose-gold Maine Coon Shadowclan deputy. Firestar had wanted to believe that maybe the deputy had other duties to attend at Shadowclan camp, knowing just how clueless Juncostar could really be with just the few interactions he has had with the leader.
Sighing softly as suddenly he was wishing that he had not brought Auroraskies along, only because he could tell from the way Mellowfrost and Juncostar were looking like a couple of deer startled. Biting his lower lip as Aurora and Orion begin to question Mellow and Junco on the whereabouts of their sister. Wrapping his fluffy tail more securely around his soulmate, wanting to provide her some measurement of comfort. Barely recognizing the arrival of Hawkstar as it is revealed that Mercuryrose had perished by the paws of Renly the Ripper, himself. Another ones blood has been spilt by such a horrid individual, they certainly needed to put a stop to his chaotic schemes once and for all. Pulling Auroraskies even closer, allowing her to press her head into his chest as she releases her sorrows and longing for her dear sister.
It pained him to see her like this, but it fueled him even more to come up with a plan. Glancing over at Copperstar, a small twitch of his lips of a grin forms as he notices that the Riverclan leader was no longer pregnant, meaning the kits had finally arrived. It was always a joyful feeling at seeing kits you had created enter the world of the living, especially watching them grow into their own selves. “No worries…The meeting has not even begun yet” Firestar reassures before looking over the other leaders and consultants around him. Ears perking up as Desertstar commands attention as she brings forth the subject they all had been anxiously awaiting—time to discuss the next course of action. “I do not think running head first into battle against The Ripper would be the wisest—he would certainly be expecting such a reckless move from us clan folk” Firestar states simply, his words dripping with sarcasm towards the end.
He wished this would be more simple, that they could just ambush the bastard and take him out, but from what he has witnessed, he knows that the large black mountain cat is too cunning for such a folly. Who knows just how many supporters he had, ambushing could quickly backfire onto them with no hope of recovering.
“We need to trap him, contain and corner him so that he has no where else to run.”
Desertstar
Leader of Windclan
Desertstar sat with the three in companionable silence while they waited. To fill the silence between them, she hummed a soft tune, listening to the light rainfall as she prepared herself mentally for what was to come. Never did she imagine that one day she’d have to formulate a plan in order to take down her own child— nor did she imagine it’d be the kit that was afraid of her own shadow. She barely recognized Desertrain now, and the leader sighed just thinking about it.
However, it wasn’t long before all the leaders had made it, and she straightened up, shaking some of the rain from her whiskers. “Hawkstar, Juncostar,” the golden leader greeted them, then turned to Copperstar, her expression curious as she noticed the formally pregnant leader’s belly had shrunk. He smelled of milk. Desertstar gave him a soft smile. She was glad that he had safely delivered his litter. Birth was both beautiful and dangerous. After all, she’d lost her first life giving life to her first litter, and coincidentally it was also after a gathering. “Congratulations, Copperstar,” she whispered to him, then cleared her throat to get everyone's attention. In order to be rid of Renly they needed a plan— and soon. “Now that everyone is here, we should discuss ideas,” she addressed the group, looking to each of them.
Mellowfrost
Shadowclan Deputy
Did Mellowfrost expect to become Shadowclan deputy once more? No.
The cream tabby tom was padding into the entrance of the Ghostly Flats, his green eyes were narrowed slightly when looking at the high stones. It had been around almost a season since he had even stepped foot into the Gathering area, he didn’t miss it. The large tom had kept a low profile for the most part, spending quality time with his mates, Jasmineflame and Roachwing. It had been a surreal feeling watching his two kits, Almondpaw and Bogpaw, growing up. After his death, Mellowfrost certainly hadn’t taken anything for granted which included being more involved with his loved ones. Unfortunately, Mercuryrose had perished due to the Ripper. Mellowfrost refused the role of deputy at first, until his brother basically was sobbing at his paws and begging him to take the spot.. Which was why Mellowfrost was attending this meeting tonight.
Leaving Jasmineflame in their nest, Mellowfrost had followed Juncostar out of camp. The gray leader had been uncharacteristically quiet, Shadowclan was mourning the loss of the black and rose-gold Maine Coon, mainly Ravenclaw and the two cats that loved her, Widowsting and Mintstrike. Mellowfrost was silent for a moment, before his brother attempted to crack a joke. He knew that Juncostar was trying to keep it together. A small smile appeared on his lips “Just like old times.” Mellowfrost said, recalling his past times that he attended gatherings at deputy. While the seasons changed, Mellowfrost still was trying to remain the same prior to drowning. Looking at the felines on the high rock, anxiety overcame him within that moment. Would his first encounter with the other ranks of the clans go well? The cream tabby let out a sigh before following his brother.
His green eyes widened slightly in alarm once spotting Orion and Auroraskies. Shit, himself and Juncostar were in trouble. The black and golden Skyclan Queen was pressed against Firestar, her eyebrows furrowed as she watched Mellowfrost and Juncostar for a moment. The Skyclan molly didn’t have to put the pieces together, she could tell that Mellowfrost was the deputy. Orion had remained silent while looking at the other tom, Mellowfrost had felt somewhat relaxed when looking at the Black Maine Coon tom, as if they had met before. It wasn’t until Auroraskies cleared her throat, her violet-amber eyes narrowed. “Where is my sister?” Aurora questioned sharply, her feather tail was lashing from side to side.
Auroraskies

Orion
The black and golden Maine Coon molly was pressed against Firestar, the both of them sitting on the high rock. A small smile appeared on her face, before she leaned to press a gentle kiss against his cheek. Aurora knew that Firestar had been extremely stressed as of late with the Ripper situation happening. Aurora stayed by his side through it all, as herself and Firestar were always a team. Her feathery tail wrapped around him, resting at the side of his hip. Once spotting Orion and Desertstar, her violet-amber eyes lit up before going to her younger brother and embraced him. It didn’t matter if they were in different clans, both of them had gone through difficult times and both were the closest next to herself and Mercuryrose. Moving towards Desertstar, a soft smile appeared on her “Sit with us, please.” Aurora said, leading Desertstar away from Orion. The black and golden molly didn’t need to ask the Windclan leader about her feelings, she could clearly see it. All Aurora could do is provide a safe space and kindness for the Windclan leader.
Aurora remembered Sleekfeather speaking about Desertstar briefly when both of them spoke about Twilightfoot and Sandadder. Aurora had known that Sleekfeather was finding himself, especially since Sandadder was killed. Encouraging Sleekfeather, she expressed that he needed to define his legacy with his own paws, not worrying about Sandadder’s actions or past. Sitting next to her mate, she returned to wrap her tail around his hip. Orion had moved towards the Windclan leader and sat by her side, he bumped his shoulder against her own “We’re in this together.” He said quietly, as Desertstar had all of Windclan on her side during this difficult time. The betrayal of Desertstar was a surprise to him, but he was ultimately disappointed. The black Maine Coon had felt as if it was his fault, that perhaps he wasn’t there to support his former apprentice enough. Looking down, his dark green eyes were focused on his paws as he was trying to figure out when Desertriver had lost all faith in Windclan. It wasn’t until the other leaders appeared that caused him to look up.
Noticing that Mercuryrose wasn’t present with Juncostar, Orion was tense for a moment. Why wasn’t his sister with Shadowclan? His dark green eyes were narrowed as he was going to question Juncostar until Aurora had beaten him to it. It seemed like Juncostar was shocked for words, Aurora’s violet-amber eyes were burning with different kinds of emotions. “I’m not going to repeat myself, where is Mercy?” Aurora questioned, sensing Firestar’s tail wrapping around her in an attempt to calm her down. It wasn’t until Mellowfrost spoke quietly “She had gotten ambushed by The Ripper.. She didn’t make it.” The cream deputy said, to which Aurora was staring at him for a moment. The black and golden molly let out a shuddering breath, silent for a moment. Tears started forming before looking down.
Orion looked down, before looking up at Juncostar “How is Ravenclaw?” The Black Maine Coon questioned the leader about his nephew. The black tom in Shadowclan was Mercuryrose’s son, and one of the felines that was closest to her. Both Orion and Aurora knew that Ravenclaw was taking his mother’s loss the hardest, and they hoped that Mintstirke and Widowsting were by his side. Once Aurora had taken a moment to collect herself, she moved to intertwin her own tail with Firestar as he moved to comfort her. Looking up, Aurora was wiping the tears away from her eyes “Shall we begin?” The black and golden molly whispered, biting the inside of her cheek.
~Copperstar The Fledgling Leader Of Riverclan~
Copperstar silently padded along, his destination the Ghostly Flats finally in view, the once rotund tom had slimmed down due to immediately kitting as soon as the Gathering had concluded. It had now been a few weeks since then, and therefore lost a few pounds in the process of kitting and feeding his young rich milk. They were now a few weeks old and starting to tumble about the Nursery. He had been spending some leisure time with his kits and his mate and thus the time had tracked away from him, and he found himself running late.
With not a moment to spare, he called upon his deputy Lavendermoon and medicine cat Vemonrose to accompany him, and the trio set out as fast as they could manage. The sting between his shoulders still persisting, the constant reminder of the Ripper's claws having raked themselves down his spine. It would seem that there was a lingering infection within the wound that was too stubborn and resisting Venomrose's herbal poultices.
Other than that, the Riverclan Leader was on the road to a complete recovery from his previous encounter with the Ripper weeks ago. The orange tabby tom was still on a sharp look out for any sign of the beastly feline, knowing full well that he was lurking about. Copperstar felt his stomach churn, remembering Renly's demands for sacrifices, the Riverclan Leader had no intention of giving up any of his own to that monster. Renly had already killed enough of his clanmates, as morbid as it was, he already had PLENTY sacrifices from Riverclan- as far as Copperstar was concerned.
Copperstar finally arrived at the rock, he bunched his muscles, lowered his body and wriggled his shoulders. Wincing only slightly at the sting, before he leapt up onto the rock and settled down amongst the clan leaders.
"My apologies for being late, new kits are such a pawful, even at only a few weeks."
A humbler Hawkstar entered the hollow that night. He looked well enough on his exterior. The ancestors or whatever they were had done a good job in closing all of his earthly wounds. But the scars in his mind would remain for some time. He entered the clearing aware of them, and therefore murmured a quieter and more respectful greeting to his fellows.
“Firestar, Desertstar, Juncostar.”
He then chose a seat closest to Juncostar, despite everything being near him still elicited feelings of calm and safety. With his ego subdued for the time being, Hawkstar felt overly aware of the difficult path that lay ahead for all of them. It would require none of the foolhardy temperament he’d been running on before.
“Copperstar’s late– I hope he’s well?”
Juncostar
shadowclan leader
(he/him)
Now that ShadowClan had been targeted by The Ripper, as well, costing them Mercuryrose, Juncostar felt an urgency to resolve this issue. When it had been talked about at the gathering, he’d almost considered not showing up to this little meeting that the other Clans’ leaders had agreed to. After losing one of his closest friends to the guy, however, he was a more personal threat he needed to confront. Coming to the Ghostly Flats, Juncostar turned to look at Mellowfrost, forcing a small grin that appeared more as a grimace. He’d been suffering since Mercuryrose’s death; he was nothing like himself.
“‘Time to get in there, huh?” he suggested to his brother, before setting on his way once more. He couldn’t force the normal bounce in his step that day; his eyes didn’t glow with his kitlike humor. Coming up to the two leaders that were already there, the grey tom glanced between them. Firestar looked as angry as ever; Desertstar looked like a shadow of her former self. Gaze softening at the WindClan leader’s sunken features, Juncostar couldn’t help but grow concerned. She looked like she hadn’t slept or eaten in days; he supposed he likely would’ve looked the same if it had been Aspenpaw who’d betrayed the Clans in such a way.
“Just waitin’ on Hawkstar and Copperstar, then?” he asked, glancing over his shoulder to watch for either of the two remaining leaders. He felt mixed emotions about seeing Hawkstar again so soon after what had happened in their battle. He just hoped this’d all go smoothly, and they could get revenge for Mercuryrose. That was the only thing he cared about.
Firestar
The Leader of Skyclan
He still felt that it was almost absurd that it had already been several weeks since the gatherings, and the leaders were just now coming together to think of a plan. That Ripper and Desertrain knew how to remain low, to stay in hiding when five clans were searching for the killers. The Skyclan Leader could only imagine what Desertstar was feeling the last few weeks. Sighing to himself as he settles down next to his mate, Auroraskies. He had asked her to come along, having someone at the meeting that had an understanding of Renly is their only bet in defeating the crazed feline. Even though it was one well two cats against 5 clans, Firestar knew better than to believe they could defeat a cunning sociopath by being impatient and reckless.
No, too many felines have died at the paws of The Ripper, too many for them to think defeating him would be easy. Firestar hoped something would come out of the meeting today, that a plan would be made and set in motion. Though, he did not have many high hopes with Juncostar and Hawkstar. Seeing that they could not even handle being civil at a gathering, how would this meeting go? At least Desertstar and Copperstar had the sense, at least with them a plan should be formed. Ears perking up as he hears someone approaching before seeing them. His emerald and ember gaze locks on the exhausted form of Desertstar, her eyes filled and features more gaunt from between stress and betrayal he was not certain.
He could sense Auroraskies shifting slightly beside him, having noticed her brother Cometchaser accompanying Desertstar. It would seem that the Windclan leader had the same idea as him. Nodding his head respectfully towards both felines before him. “It is good to see you both as well.” He smiles lightly, he knew it would be stupid to ask how she was fairing. Glancing around the two Windclanners before turning back to them. “I suppose all we can do now is wait for the others.”
