Ravenstar
Shadowclan Leader
The young leader had been the last one that jumped on the leaders’ rock, his golden gaze remained on Hawkstar and Copperstar who were standing in front of him, the Shadowclan leader had arrived last. Firestar had called an emergency meeting between the leaders, just a couple of days after the battle between their clans. The battle had ended in a stalemate, each clan had lost a good amount of felines. Biting the inside of his cheek, his gaze remained on the ground for a moment. This whole battle could had been avoided if proper communication happened.
Ravenstar’s golden gaze went towards Desertstar and nodded in greetings towards the Windclan leader, he wondered if she was okay after the battle. Firestar’s scorching gaze was focused on Hawkstar and Copperstar, if looks could kill.. Those two would be dead by now. The Shadowclan leader wondered if Firestar was holding a grudge against Thunderclan and Riverclan over not shading their territories.. Which.. Ravenstar didn’t see why this was still a topic, as Shadowclan and Windclan had been lending their lands for Skyclan to order.
So why did Firestar call a meeting?
Grunting softly, his eyebrows furrowed for a moment as he looked towards Desertstar who looked just as confused.. But it felt his blood had ran cold when Firestar started mentioning about.. Dead bodies had been dug up? The Shadowclan leader’s ears perked slightly as he heard a couple of whispers exchanged, which caused Ravenstar to turn his head slightly.. Had the spirit guides been whispering his thoughts to him? It was uncertain for him.
Firestar |The Courageous Lion of Skyclan|
Firestar could not explain the raging inferno blazing within him as he sat amongst his fellow leaders. Ever since his trail within Starclan, he had noted that his emotions were more intense and reckless—anger being an almost permanent presence within his conflicted soul. It was almost as if his emotions and instincts were fighting continuously amongst one another. Pressing his lips in a hard line as his blazing gaze remains level with Hawkstar and Copperstar. Intensely gauging their reactions to his not so subtle accusations against them. He needed to be sure, he did not want to believe the evidence collected from his fellow clanmates, that the fallen had been tampered with. At first, he had brushed it off as other predators such as foxes or even coyotes, and yet he could not help the nagging feeling within the back of his mind when he investigated the remains. It all seemed too staged to his trained eye, the remains appeared too well orchestrated for it to have been mindless scavengers. No—there was more at play here. Firestar could feel it within his mind, body, and soul.
The real question was who? Could it truly be one of his fellow leaders or even a feline from the clans? He briefly thought of Renly the Ripper as well as his unstable mate; Desertrain. Though when studying the bodies; he quickly realized that Renly the Ripper could have made more of a spectacle with his work, never one to drain a body of their blood, as the psychotic monster preferred to have the red splattered along the floor as a show case of his power. No…whoever or whatever caused this mayhem was meticulously executing their plan. Toying with them like a fly caught in a web, it was only when he studied Hawkstar and Copperstar did he truly realize just how close the impending spider truly was to feasting.
Ignoring the incredulous looks he was receiving from Ravenstar and Desertstar. He had no time to relay his suspicions on the whole matter, he did not believe any clan was responsible for such blatant disregard for their fallen brethren. Yet, who was he if not thorough in his own private investigation? Best way to gauge the innocence of a suspect was to catch them off guard after all. Drowning out the rising volume of disagreements and blame being thrown as his bi-colored eyes drift over to the shadows at the edge of the clearing. Brows furrowing as he could not ignore the sickening feeling of being watched. Tilting his large cranium as his eyes narrow suspiciously in the direction of where Kaelan lay and wait in suspensive glee.
His large body tensing at the cold mocking laugh that echoes throughout the clearing. Even though he had expected something to happen from the uneasy feeling he had been experiencing, it was still unnerving to see an unfamiliar feline approach the gathering without a care in the world. Steeling his resolve as he glares harshly at the intruder, the harsh silence seemed almost deafening as everyone seemed to hold their breath in suspense. Firestar could not help but study the calm and cunning feline below him, arching a brow as he could see the impending sickness of death clinging to the brittle form of Kaelan. Though even though Kaelan appeared sickly, it was his almost youthful cyan eyes and charming voice that truly set Firestar on edge. Even though Kaelan appeared almost non threatening, Fire was not foolish enough to let his guard down. it was obvious that Kaelan had a goal here tonight to reveal himself so prematurely.
His tufted ears flick backwards as he takes in each calming almost silken voice of the manipulative feline. Scowling as Kaelan mocks him and his fellow leaders, though he knew that the intruder was not wrong, even if Firestar had not truly believed it was the doing of another clan, he had accused Hawkstar and Copperstar moments prior after all. Forcing his body to relax as he simply stares down at Kaelan, noting that the bony figure’s voice oozed sweet sickening poison, his words trying to coerce those with weak resolve to his own cause. Lips curling back in a silent snarl, “Immortal ones, you say? To me it looks like you are on your last leg, never mind immortal” he mocks with an impassive brow being raised as Kaelan easily disregards his jab. Clicking his tongue against the roof of his mouth as he finally rises to his full imposing height as he towers over Kaelan. “Keep your forked tongue behind your teeth! Do you really think any of us would blindly follow and devote ourselves to one that blatantly disrespects the bodies of our comrades to cause doubt and disarray amongst us?” He snaps.
The urge to stop Kaelan from leaving grew stronger, yet his feet remain rooted on the large rock. His bi-colored eyes remain locked on Kaelan as the sunken almost skeletal features smirks at him before blending seamlessly within the crowd as many seemed to part for the imposing figure before all that remained were the unsettled clans.
