Dahliapetal
Shadowclan Warrior
Her dark green gaze was staring down at the ground as she was padding towards the direction of the familiar pathway that she used to feel so giddy once before.. Now Dahlia had dreaded it, she would rather not visit the broken den that she had destroyed about two moons ago when Timberhawk broke her heart.. Timberhawk.. She didn’t want to think about the rustic brown tom, not after everything he said to her. Dahlia may not have the most stable mindset, but she knew her worth. Early on, her older sisters have told her that no tom should mistreat her in any kind of way.. Not after their father.. But what Timberhawk did was unacceptable, how he made her feel embarrassed and worthless. Dahlia couldn’t even think about that day, because she would just end up crying. The small Maine Coon didn’t even tell her sisters, friends or even Grizzly about the accident.. All she said was that it didn’t work out between them and they went on their separate ways, never to see or speak to each other again.
So why was Dahlia returning to the den?
Dahlia had forgotten to bring back one of her most prized possessions: A black Pearl. Orion had gifted her mother, Vanity, that pearl when he had returned from one of his travels before Dahlia was born.. Of course when Vanity had disappeared on the day of Dahlia’s birth, Aurora and Mercy stored the pearl in a safe place. Of course it was Orion who presented her with the pearl, along with a beautiful blue shell that Vanity had cherished as a kit.. The shell resides in her den with Grizzly, while the pearl was meant to stay in her den with Timberhawk’s.. But of course, the accident happened. Dahlia had wanted to get her prized treasure out of that cursed den and move on with her life, wanting to continue on being a warrior of Shadowclan and also visiting the mountains once every moon. Her thoughts were cut off when she looked up and the small Maine Coon molly stopped in place, her heart dropped when she spotted a familiar figure in the distance in front of the den.
Timberhawk was there.
Her dark green eyes narrowed slightly, as she kept on moving and didn’t even bother looking at his direction. Why was he here? Did he wanna continue his verbal beating towards her? Did he have some kind of trick or mindgsme that he decided that she would be his victim? No, Dahlia wouldn’t partake in whatever he decided to do, she wanted nothing to do with him. Two moons wasn’t enough to heal the wounds that he left behind, the amount of crying and pain that she endured because of him. As she was approaching the den, she could feel Timberhawk’s gaze on her.. But Dahlia ignored it, instead making her way into the familiar bush that led towards the den. As Dahlia made it into the den, she kept her gaze away from the den from the corner of her eye, not wanting to fully look at it. However, she noticed that Timberhawk had attempted to clean some of it up.. Only to give up, the den remained mostly destroyed as she left it. Was this his trick? To tidy up the den to destroy it in front of her? Trying not to overthink of the situation, the silver and white Maine Coom went to the destroyed nest.
It wasn’t until her eyes widened slightly in surprise when not finding the pearl at the side of the nest in which she placed it before. Dahlia had began searching frantically for it, her eyes narrowed slighly when listening to Timberhawk entering the den. Letting out a frustrated sigh, the molly turned to look at the Windclan tom. It was the first time she laid eyes on him for the missing time. “Timberhawk” Dahlia said, her tone was emotionless and not full of the preppy tone she carried. She could see the tom flinching that she used his full name and not the nickname she would give him. “The black pearl that was on the side of the nest, where is it?” She questioned, but he was silent. Dahlia could tell that he was trying to figure out his words and the small molly was getting irritated “That was my mother‘s-“ Dahlia had cut herself off before clenching her jaw and shaking her head “Of course you wouldn’t know, you never listened or cared anyways” She said quietly, shaking her head.
He was staring at her, without saying anything. Dahlia sucked her teeth in frustration before starting to move away from the nest “Whatever.. It’s gone” She muttered, accepting that one of her prized treasures were gone. Expecting for Timberhawk to step aside when she finally was in front of him, her dark eyes narrowed when the rustic brown tom didn’t show any signs of moving out of her way. Dahlia closed her eyes for a moment, tears threatening to spill. No, she wouldn’t cry for him. “Get out of my way Timberhawk” Dahlia said calmly, not allowing her temper to show. Opening her eyes, she stared into Timberhawk’s emerald gaze “You don’t need to worry, after today I will no longer speak to you.. I’ll never lay my eyes on you, it will be like I had never entered your life.. Just like you wanted Timberhawk, our paths will never cross again and I’ll never utter your name again” Dahlia said, her tone was soft and tilting her head. It seemed like he didn’t like that response, he ended up swallowing hard.. Why was he nervous? Wasn’t he happy that she wouldn’t acknowledge him? This is what he wanted.
Timberhawk |The Trickster of Windclan|
“Well when you put it like that….” Timber trails off with a small shrug to his lanky lean muscled shoulders. It wasn’t that he believed she would stop loving him once he passed, it was the opposite actually. Timberhawk was afraid that once he passes and she still walks the plane of existence mourning his death. Timberhawk wanted so much more for Dahlia but his selfishness won yet again. Deciding to let his worries drift away, to live in the moment with her. Hating seeing the tears trailing down her plump cheeks as she angrily stares up at him. He could see her resolve breaking and it took everything within him not to smirk.
Running his paw gently up and down her cheek as he caresses her. His dark green eyes never leaving her face as he watches many emotions flicker behind her beautiful eyes. Wiping a few stray tears away as he remains silent, letting Dahlia sort out what she wanted. He would respect her wishes, ears perking up at the sound of her soft sweet voice. Lips twitching in a small smile, “Yes, I do know you just like you know me. I tend to let my anger guide me and say a lot of shit I don’t necessarily mean. I am so sorry I hurt you” Timber softly speaks, not wanting to disturb the tranquil atmosphere surrounding the couple.
Tensing in surprise as she suddenly confessed that she loved him. He had expected rejection, but he could tell she was far from forgiving him. She was giving into her heart desires by confessing, after all; the heart wants what the heart wants. “I…I love you too” the older Tom admits right before she leans up to press her soft lips against his. Breath hitching in the back of his throat before relaxing completely into the kiss. Smirking into the kiss as he feels Dahlia’s paw wrap around his back, pulling him even closer towards her. Tilting his head slightly to the side as they deepen the kiss. Her lips were like a burning inferno yet his air at the same time, he could not get enough of it.
Eyes fluttering open once she breaks the kiss, his dilated eyes lock with hers as she warns him. Sheepishly grinning down at the fiery she-cat, “I promise to never to that again. You have my word and my permission to burry me if I go back on my word” Timberhawk muses as he gives her a small peck on the lips. Knowing that if he deepened the kiss further, he would not be able to control himself. Stepping back from the smaller molly, gesturing for her to enter fully into the den. His eyes softening as he watches her take in the cave in awe. Purring softly as he hears her utter his pet name, one he use to despise but after the moons of knowing her grew to cherish such a name, he couldn’t believe he almost lost not hearing her call him ‘My Hawk’.
“It’s not much…but thought it could be home.”
