Living life as a rogue wasn’t as bad as the clan cats made it seem. The Siamese molly found herself enjoying the freedom it allowed, no boundaries, no leaders, no warrior code just cats trying to get by in life. Not to mention all the interesting animals you meet along the way, dogs who not only are friends with cats but even protectors of them, and to think it had only been a few weeks since she left Cross and his nest. She was happy to get to see a familiar face again, her ears popping into his nesting area.
“Howdy there stranger!” The Siamese molly confidently strolled up to the Maine coon tom cat, his muzzle pressing into the side of his with a small kiss. “You look good, Mr. Cross.” A small giggle following her words. Her tail swiped under his chin and she circled around him one good time. The round plump molly plopping herself down on the toms nest, her belly fully exposed to him Milky didn’t get to announce her pregnancy to Firestar back when they had their litter, mostly because she didn’t want him to know in fear of him turning her away because she was a “kittypet” but with Cross she didn’t have that fear. Of course Cross could tell her to leave and not come back but she didn’t have to worry about losing her entire home if he didn’t like that she was having his kits. Milky felt somewhat guilty about being pregnant again, she had failed her first litter so much and ended up leaving in the end. She silently prayed that her first litter wouldnt resent her too much for having more children with a different tom. The siamese molly failed miserably at hiding her concern that was clearly plastered across her muzzle, chewing her inner cheek. If anything she knew her kits would have a good father in Cross, hell even her Skyclan kits had a good father in Firestar…maybe she was the issue, not the toms.
Milky pushed the thought back down, she couldn't think that way, Milky was a great mom and she would do an amazing job raising these kits with or without Cross. Still she hoped Cross would want to help with his spawns. “Say Cross dear, my paws are killing me. Would you mind if I crashed here tonight? Consider it our first sleepover as a family.” Gesturing to her rounded belly, blinking slowly at the tom cat with a grin

A grin appeared on his face when looking at Milky. Ah yes, it has certainly been a change since finding out the news of becoming a father. Was Cross nervous about such a life changing event? Yes. However, Cross never showed that around anyone. Watching the pregnant molly slowly making her way towards his nest, the large black and gray Maine Coon scooted over so she could have some room to become comfortable. “Stars, the kits will be here soon.” Cross thought out loud, a small smile appeared on his face when she leaned up to kiss his muzzle and turned to rest his chin on the top of her head.
“I wonder if we’ll have a girl.” Cross said, looking at her stomach. It was huge. He wondered if they perhaps were having a large litter or their kits just inherited his large size. A cheeky smile appeared on his face “I wanna name her Belle” He said. For some reason, he always loved that name for his future daughter. Although Cross and Milky agreed on mighty names for their sons if they had.. It would be a funny situation if they had only daughters and had to scramble for mighty names for females. Milky enjoyed the name Pegan, which Cross loved.
Twitching the stick at the corner of his mouth, Cross was deep in thought for a moment. How would his kits turn out? There were so many outcomes for the kits. It wasn’t until he snapped out of his thoughts for a moment when feeling Milky’s tail on his side and he turned to look at her with a grin. “Sorry, just lost in thought.” Cross apologized with a small smile. A couple of moments later, the large Maine Coon slowly got up from the den and looked over at the other feline “I’ll be right back.” He said, making his way out of the den for a moment. A couple of moments later, Cross returned with a couple of items inside a blue cloth. He laid them in front of the pregnant female and unwrapped it to show to her. In front of Milky, was a little bell and a green tiny ball. The broad tom shrugged “They could have toys when they’re here, it’s getting cold out.” He said, looking at the toys that he picked out at a market with some friends about last week. He hoped that it showed that he was serious about becoming a parent, that his and Milky’s kits were going to be well taken care of while he was around.
