Vengeance
Loner
Nostrils flared, hot air coming out of his nose within the cold weather as the dark gray and white tom was watching the scent in front of him with narrowed olive eyes. A pretty calico was sitting in the middle of the small clearing with a piece of prey in front of her. Little did she know, Sorrelember was in the middle of no cat land.. Which meant anything goes in this side of the territory. The large loner had caught a whiff of the deceased piece of prey when the molly killed it, Vengeance felt his mouth watering as he hadn’t eaten in two days. The winter weather was harsh, especially for land prey.. So any piece of prey was good enough for him. The dark grey and white loner slowly made his way through the bushes and carefully stepped into the clearing, this certainly caused the molly’s attention as her head went from almost biting into her piece of prey to looking up at him with narrowed orange eyes.
“Well, Well, Well.. Look what we have here” Vengeance said calmly, his voice was rough and a smirk appeared on his face when padding towards the molly. His nose scrunched slightly at her scent, it was something that he never smelled before. It wasn’t until the large tom was standing in front of her with narrowed eyes, but a smirk appeared on his lips “Thank you for so graciously catching my dinner tonight, you certainly shouldn’t have” Vengeance said, as he went towards the meal but Sorrelember quickly placed a paw over it and the loner looked up with a frown. She just made a wrong move, the Riverclan molly should release the piece of prey and move along if she knew what was good for her.. But it appears that she would be more stubborn than he thought. Watching Sorrelember for a moment, Vengeance chuckled and shook his head
“A beauty with no brains, how typical” Vengeance snorted at her, unimpressed with the slender molly in front of him. Letting out a sigh, he was growing impatient with her “Lil Lady, I won’t tell you this again: Give me the piece of prey, now.” The dark gray and white tom said through gritted teeth, his darker gray and black tail fluffed up as he was trying to scare the molly into giving the meal. But it seemed like this one was headstrong, and he wasn’t going to be getting this piece of prey easily. “This isn’t your prey, you’re here in no cat land.. Ain’t no one got anything that belongs to them” He said, as clearly the molly had never been around here before. “What the hell are you, some sort of house cat or something? You stink of fish '' Vengeance said, his eyebrow arched in confusion when looking down at her. What was this molly’s deal and why was she here in this territory? He clearly had never seen her before.. Sorrelember would certainly be remembered!

Loner
The dark gray and white loner turned around to look at the small molly, his olive green gaze looking down at her when the slim calico made her way towards him. Vengeance watched her carefully, and suddenly felt their chests pressing against each other as the large loner felt himself backing up until his back pressed against the wall of his den. His eyebrows furrowed for a moment, until Sorrelember’s nose brushed against his own and leaned to kiss him softly on the lips. He couldn’t deny that he was attracted to her, Sorrelember was definitely different from most she-cats that he encountered daily.. She held her own and had a heart of gold, Vengeance couldn’t help but admire that from her.
It wasn’t until Vengeance felt Sorrelember pulling back, his left foreleg moved until the molly was pressed against him once more. His breathing was heavy as the molly was looking down at his lips. “Sorrelember” The large tom breathed, not using the little nickname that he had given her for once. As olive green eyes looked into fiery orange, a smirk appeared on his lips “Tonight, I belong to you” Vengeance said, before pulling her back in for a gentle kiss as he held her close.
He knew that the two wouldn’t see each other again after this encounter, Sorrelember would leave his den after and continue on with her travels to who knows where while Vengeance had business to attend to in the city nearby in the morning.. But tonight, the two of them would enjoy the company of each other. It was an unusal tale of a fateful encounter, but The Lil Lady that shared his nest.. This Mugger surely wouldn’t forget about her.

Orange eyes narrowed slightly as she looked towards the male as he asked her if he looked like he would do something sketchy, as if he hadn’t already tried mugging her for the meal. Tail lashing behind her slightly as she grunted in response, “I seriously hope you don’t expect me to respond to that.” Sorrelember hummed softly, grinning softly to herself as he seemed amused with her retort. “If you say so, but now that I think about it, I could definitely give you an answer.” She smiled sweetly, watching him as he walked by her, suddenly noticing how much taller than she was, and she wasn’t typically known for being a shorty. As he walked past her, eyes casually dropped down towards his tail as he held it up high, her head tilting slightly. He had really nice thighs.
Clearing her throat slightly, the female quickly caught up with the tomcat, her richly colored tail slashed as her orange eyes roamed along the bushes and the stones sticking out of the ground. “Lovely area.” She hummed sarcastically, letting her chin tilt back to gaze at him. Ears perking up slightly, her eyes noticing the hole in the ground with a rather large willow tree, arching an eyebrow thoughtfully. She certainly hadn’t been expecting this, what she expected was some run down two leg made contraption. “Not what I was expecting.” She admitted with a grin, accepting his invitation to enter the den first as she paused to breathe in the scents first. Had to make sure she was stepping into a trap. Lucky for her, the scent was clean and only smelled of Vengeance. “Don’t mind if I do.” She smiled softly as she stepped within the darkly lit den, instantly feeling right at home.
Gazing around the den, she breathed in the earthy tones from the tree, smiling mostly to herself. They had a willow tree at home. “This is pretty impressive.” She said softly, giving praise where it was due. Noticing the nest in the middle of the den, her achy feet were reminded of the rest that they were due, but she found her eyes turning towards the tall white and dark grey splotched tomcat. Despite being skinny because of hunger, he was rather good looking. “It’s definitely to my liking.” She said softly, looking up at the tomcat with a quiet hum vibrating through her chest.
As he looked around the den, her long tail swayed behind her as she walked closer to the tomcat, watching him slowly back up until his rump bumped into the den wall. “I just might make myself at home.” Sorrelember said softly, her breathing getting heavier and deeper as she came nose to nose with tom, leaning up on her toes as her eyelids hooded in order to look down at his lips. “What do you say, Vengeance?” She asked softly, leaning in close enough to press a soft kiss to his lips, ears laying lightly against her cranium before she pulled back slightly and gently rubbed her muzzle against the side of his cheek. “I could use a little company.” Sorrelember said softly.

“Don’t worry, I’ll make sure you’re safe” Vengence promised, it wasn’t until her feathery tail went to slap him lightly in the face and a smirk appeared on his lips as he quickly grabbed the vole that they were sharing. The scent of the fresh-kill entering his nostrils that the massive loner closed his eyes for a moment, before looking back towards Sorrelember “Lil Lady, I really do appreciate your faith in me.. But does it look like I would do anything sketchy? I’m practically a saint” The dark gray and white tom said through the piece of prey, his olive green eyes narrowing in amusement when the beautiful calico gave him a look. Okay, perhaps Vengence didn’t appear the most trust worthy feline.. But he meant well. The tom moved towards the Riverclan warrior and his skinny tail went to lightly tap against the molly’s pelt and grumbled as he passed by her “Don’t answer that question, let’s get going”
Waiting for Sorrelember to catch up, the longer felt a comfortable silence between them. It was rare, especially since Vengeance always was in the middle of some kind of action. The loner was mostly known for his unfiltered mouth, doing whatever he pleased. However it was quite a rare moment of Vengeance offering his den, but perhaps Sorrelember’s aura was comforting to him. The two walked through the woods, Vengeance looking up at the sun that was setting “We’ll be there in a bit” The loner said, before his olive green eyes lit up at the sight of his den. It was an abandoned den within a massive willow tree, the entrance was covered with a bush so no intruders would go in and claim his den. Bounding towards it, his massive figure moved until making a clear entrance for Sorrelember to move inside with ease
“After you, My lil Lady”
Once seeing that Sorrelember made it into the den, he followed after her. The bottom of the tree was mostly hollow with a wooden ceiling on the top. It was extremely roomy, in the middle was a large nest with moss and crow feathers woven into the nest. Looking over at the beautiful calico, a small grin appeared on his face. He was clearly pleased with the presentation of his den as Vengeance took really good care of it. Moving towards the small and slender molly, the massive tom arched an eyebrow while having a boyish grin on his face. Vengeance looked down at her, the tip of his tail flicking back and forth in content. The loner was mostly in peace while staying within his den, a small smile reappeared on his face when looking down at Sorrelember’s face.
“I hope that it’s towards your liking.. It’s usually myself that stays here, so it’s quite a treat to have a visitor” Vengeance confessed, a half grin appeared on his face. The loner didn’t trust much cats, as it was a kind of big sharks in a little pond kind of situation within the outskirts. But the kindness of Sorrelember that shown that perhaps kindness does come along way.. Of course Vengeance wouldn’t report to becoming a saint straight away, but maybe he’ll show his good side once in a while. Looking around his den, he shrugged at her “Mi Casa, Su Casa.. Make yourself at home” The white and dark gray tom said nonchalantly, knowing that perhaps she wanted to rest soon.

Vengeance seemed like he had never met a Molly that could handle herself, silently thanking Starclan that she had never been born as a push over. Arching a single eyebrow as he called the clan cats, cult cats, which was a term she had never heard before. Licking her lips slightly before she laughed, her painted tail swaying in amusement. “Well, I surely am not an elder.” She commented, watching him take a bite out of the vole before he looked over at her. Unfortunately she wasn’t able to stop the flush to her cheeks as he called her ‘fine’ knowing it was a term to her beauty. “Sorrelember, not Buttercup.” She smirked, eyes narrowing slightly. Lips lifting in a smug little grin, ears twitching. “I wouldn’t dream of it.” Sorrelember said sweetly, although the though of smacking the tomcat had come to mind, she didn’t make a move to do so.
Pushing the meal towards him, she decided that he needed the meal more than she did right now. Bidding him a farewell as she continued her trek through the outskirts. However, as he cleared his throat, she rolled her eyes to the heavens before turning her chin to gaze towards the skinny white and dark grey tom as he padded towards her. “Yes?” She huffed slightly, annoyed. Her expression turned from confused to unamused as he mentioned the poor attempt to mug her of her meal. Arching an eyebrow slightly as she was waiting to see what point he was trying to get at. “Vengeance.” She said his name in a clipped tone to get his attention as he then cleared his throat and bowed his head. Now this was a complete turn of events.
“Hmmm?” Sorrelember hummed curiously, still feeling stumped as her eyes followed the direction of his muzzle as he spoke. She smirked immediately and looked towards Vengeance as he offered his den, her lip curling slightly in annoyance. “Do I look that stupid to you?” She growled. Luckily he was quick to sense what she had assumed, her tail lashing slightly as he defended himself, lifting her muzzle slightly as she started to consider his warning. Hunting at night wasn’t unusual, there was plenty of prey that came out at night. Including other felines. Releasing a soft sigh as he kept talking to reassure her. His gaze didn’t betray any inferior thoughts. Pressing her lips together for a brief second before the Molly gave a slow nod of her head, if he tried any funny business, she would take his tail to line her nest at home. “Okay, I’ll take a leap of faith and believe you.” Moving to stand beside him, her bared her teeth slightly. “Any funny business and I’ll take your tail.” She smirked, walking past him and smacking his cheek lightly with her richly painted tail. “Come lead the way.” She called over her shoulder.

An eyebrow arched in amusement when looking at Sorrelember, what a little firecracker. The white and dark gray tom found her amusing, she definitely wasn’t a damsel in distress like other she-cats he had encountered before. “Ah the cult cats, heard about those weirdos in passing.. Don’t know why they have a lovely lil lady like you, thought it would be a bunch of old cats” Vengence confessed, as most of the gossip about the clan cats were merely myths and legends about their lifestyle. He didn’t pay attention to gossip, it wasn’t his thing to sit and talk about a bunch of bullshit with others who don’t have reliable information or sources to prove their cases. Watching her facial expression, it wasn’t until Vengeance nodded slightly “Not saying that you’re old, you look fine Buttercup” He said with a cheeky smile, the massive rogue didn’t want to be smacked again by Sorrelember.. That lil lady could pack a punch.
Watching her giving him a pointed look, Vengeance narrowed his eyes when looking down at her as he was careful to see her movements “Don’t you dare think about smacking me again Lil Lady” The white and dark gray tom grumbled, raising a paw to show that he indeed was harmless about his words.
Noticing that she wasn’t going to make a move to hit him in the back of the head, a small smile appeared on his face before a frown appeared on his face once more as she handed him the meal and declared that she would be fine traveling on her own. This molly was quite a stubborn one huh? Watching Sorrelember padding off in the opposite direction, the tom cleared his throat to gain the calico’s attention before following her once she stopped and turned to look back at him with a confused expression. Vengeance smirked at her, she was quite a character. “I don’t mean to be so rude, I mean.. Considering how we met and the attempted mugging, you know what.. Forget that happened, it was a dream.” The white and dark grey tom said with a smirk, he was quite a goonie. It wasn’t until the massive rogue cleared his throat and bowed his head lightly towards her “Lil Lady, considering that you saved me from a thousand years worth of bad luck if I had suffered the fate of you beating the crap out of me.. I would like to repay the favor.” Vengeance said, and watched her confused expression and the tom beckoned his head towards the opposite direction of his den. “I know you can easily handle yourself, as I’ve experienced it first hand.. But there’s a bunch of groups that hunt within the night who are much more of a jerk than I.. I could not let my new best friend suffer such a bad fate, I would like to offer you my den for tonight.” The tom said, and stopped once Sorrelember had suddenly stopped. It seemed like she got the wrong message and Vengeance rolled his eyes, couldn’t he be nice? Actually, don’t answer that question. “I’m not that kind of tom, I swear.” Vengeance said, raising a paw in defense as he didn’t want Sorrelember to get any wrong message or feel uncomfortable with his offer. Letting out a small sigh, a smile appeared on his face “I wouldn’t want you to be in any kind of danger, you’re a strong Lil Lady and I know that you can handle yourself.. But I would like to make sure that you’re somewhere safe throughout the night.” Vengeance explained, as he didn’t want the calico molly to be harmed in her travels. Sorrelember was a one of a kind molly. Clearing his throat, he looked towards the direction of his den. “I promise that you can take my nest, I’ll sleep at the front entrance.” He offered, Vengeance’s olive eyes looking into Sorrelember’s ember eyes with a rare expression: A gentle expression.

Flaming orange eyes narrowed towards Vengeance as he looked at her as if she had sucked the soul right out of him. Luckily enough he had under estimated her, pressing her lips together as she bit back the urge to smirk. Of course, she expected him to run his mouth, which did. His tail lashing in frustration and embarrassment, which she silently enjoyed while holding him down and setting her demands into action. Although she kept her paw at his neck until he did give up, his body relaxing slightly as he admitted defeat. “Hmp.” She grunted, releasing his neck as she stepped back from the rowdy male. He was surprisingly taller than she had thought he was, the dust on his pelt certainly made his pelt look dark and dirty. Nostrils flaring slightly as she gave a slight sneeze, whiskers trembling with amusement as he didn’t seem to appreciate her jab. “I learned from the best.” Sorrelember commented, although she wasn’t sorry. He looked to be in sorry shape in leaf-bare, and here she thought that she had gotten skinny from lack of prey.
Humming slightly as she moved to lay down on her belly, watching the tomcat as she pulled the prey close to her chest with narrowing eyes. “You know how to hunt and yet you resort to stealing. Hmm.” She didn’t appear to be impressed with this tomcat, her tail tip twitching as she took a bite out of her meal, chewing on the mouthful as her eyes flashed towards Vengeance. “This coming from the tom that just tried to take my meal away?” She grinned, letting her head tilt slightly as her richly painted calico pelt ruffled from the breeze. “Vengeance.” She repeated the males name, her lips pressing together slightly. Ironic. Breathing in softly as she gave a soft smile. “That has yet to be seen, but my name is Sorrelember.” Dipping her chin in greeting as she lifted a paw to gesture towards the empty space before her. Chuckling softly as her feathery tail moved to curl along her side. “You don’t say.” She said in amusement, giving him a look before clearing her throat.
Taking another bite, she then pushed the vole in his direction. Watching him take a bite, she noticed the way he seemed to be in bliss. He must’ve been really hungry. Lowering her head as she lifted a dainty paw in order to rasp her tongue over the white and red fur, eyes lifting towards him once more. “What am I.” She mused, whiskers twitching as she clicked her tongue. “I’m certainly not a house cat.” Sorrelember meowed, shifting slightly to where she looked back down at the vole. “I’m not sure that you would’ve heard of Clan cats. Tree loving fools that live in large groups?” She mentioned, lifting her eyes towards his face. She had heard a rogue speak of clan cats in such a manner, perhaps he spoke of them in the same manner. “I am one of those clan cats. Riverclan to be exact.” She was proud of her clan, even if they were a little broken.
Along with Vengeance she was noticing the set of the sun, chin turned away from the tomcat before she reached out to drag he vole closer to her chest, taking a few bites of the leg before pushing the prey back towards him. Letting him have the rest of the prey. She let out a soft sigh at his question, gaze narrowing in thought as she shrugged. “I am just merely passing through.” Sorrelember chose to say, he didn’t need to know everything. “Plus, as you’ve learned, I can handle myself.” She mused with a smile, a single eyebrow lifted slightly before she began to stand up. “Speaking of which, I need to get going before the sun sets. You’re welcome to the rest of the vole. Have a good night and good hunting, Vengeance.” She meowed, waving her tail as she turned back towards the brush.
Vengeance Loner “Son of a-!” The gray and white tom exclaimed as suddenly the pretty molly slapped him in the back of the head, causing him to lower his head. Sorrelember took advantage of the current situation as the smaller feline grabbed a hold of his scruff and pushed the broader tom down to the ground. Vengeance had seemed to have underestimated her, she was a very good fighter. Letting out a sharp hiss when Sorrelember’s teeth got a good grip on him. His olive green eyes narrowed when the molly was making her demands “Are you fucking kidding m-” Vengeance was cut off when his cheek hit the ground, his tail lashing back and forth in frustration. How could he let a small molly outsmart him? Usually females got frightened of him because of his rugged looks and attitude that they threw whatever they could at him in order to get away safely.. But not this one, Sorrelember was certainly a fighter.
“Lil Lady, if you don’t get off me right now” Vengeance warned, his tail lashing from side to side in frustration while also feeling embarrassed. How could Sorrelember easily outdo him? Such a smart Lil Lady indeed. His olive green eyes narrowed at her demands, letting out a mere sigh as the loner had to listen to them. “Oh no, I’m so scared… I’m literally shaking!” Vengeance couldn’t help but muttered sarcastically at her. As if she would be able to fully tear him apart, it wasn’t like he lived on the city streets for years with danger at every corner. It wasn’t until he grumbled a ‘Fine!’ When she finally released him, the large loner slowly sat up and shook the dust that collected on his white and dark grey fur. Looking at her for a moment, Vengeance took in every feature on Sorrelember’s face from her markings all the way to her orange eyes. Turning away, his olive green eyes narrowed at her jab of looking like a soaked kit “Well, you’re quite a polite gal aren’t you?” He muttered to her, narrowing his eyes. Listening to her question if he knew how to hunt, a scoff escaped him as he found the molly to be quite annoying “Yes, I know how to hunt.” Vengeance sharply said, turning to look at her as he was scrunching his nose. How rude. “Looks like someone else needs to learn about her manners too.” The large tom said with a cheeky smile on his face, two could play at that game. He couldn’t help but have a feeling of respect towards Sorrelember, that she would share her meal with a mere tom who attempted to mug her. After a couple of moments of silence for both of them to gather their thoughts, Vengeance turned to look at the Riverclan warrior “My name is Vengeance, nice to meet ya.” The tom said, dipping his head towards her in greetings. His ears perked up when hearing her name, Sorrelember. It suited her. A crooked grin appeared on his maw “Well Lil Lady, I don’t usually meet cats this way.. But you’re an all right cat.” Vengeance said softly, looking at her with amusement shining in his eyes. “Ladies first.” Vengeance said, dipping his head towards her as she took the first bite. The white and dark grey tom may appear to be some kind of jerk, he still had some manners. Settling in front of her, he watched as the slender molly took a bite of the meal before moving it towards him. Taking a bite out of the vole, he let out a soft hum. It had been about two days since enjoying a proper meal, this winter was incredibly hard on everyone in the Outskirts. Arching an eyebrow when remembering her earlier words, Vengeance tilted his head “Alright, so if you’re not a house cat.. What are you?” He questioned, and looked towards the sky as the sun was setting. Night would approach them soon.. Wow, the day really went by so quick.
“Alright Lil Lady, my question is why are you out here by ya lonesome? You’re awfully far away from home.” Vengeance said, looking from the sky towards her with a confused expression. What the hell was Sorrelember thinking? It wasn’t exactly safe to explore this certain part of the outskirts on your own, there was a safe area.. Then there was this area.
🔥𝕊𝕠𝕣𝕣𝕖𝕝𝕖𝕞𝕓𝕖𝕣 🔥

Funny enough, since breaking things off with Darktorrent, Sorrelember really wanted to just talk to her mom. Just to let out her thoughts and feelings, maybe even just to reassure herself that she wasn’t being too over the top. Knowing that her brother Koipetal knew where their mother was currently holed up at living a different life. It took some convincing and threatening to stuff Koi’s tail down his throat if he didn’t speak up. He made the right choice. Which was why she now found herself in no cat land, where nothing belonged to anyone. Despite snow dusting the ground with a late February dusting, she had been lucky enough to have caught a fat enough vole that would warm up her belly. The breeze was blowing away from her, disgusting the scent of the male cat that was hiding in the bushes. Being early evening, the sun was in the early stages of setting, her fur ruffled in order to keep herself a little warm against the breeze. Settling down on her belly, her mouth parted in order to sink her canines into the leg of her catch. But movement caught her attention, ears twitching at the count of noise he was creating. This fool wanted her to know he was there.
Keeping calm, she watched his walk, which seemed a little too confident but his eyes exposed just how hungry he was. She was no fool, his flank was a little too thin for a cat of his size, hunger could drive others to insanity. She didn’t like his sudden appearance but she also wasn’t intimidated, more annoyed than anything with the way he was eyeing her like a weak kitten. Arching an eyebrow, she watched as he walked confidently towards her with his chin in the air, as if he were superior. Starclan, rogues and loners truly did thin out her patience. “Uh huh.” Sorrelember laughed softly, the sound light and airy as she quickly stood when the male demanded for her meal. He didn’t catch it, and she certainly wasn’t going to be pushed around. Staying silent, not yet saying anything as she placed a paw possessively overly her catch of the evening. Tail tip twitching with satisfaction at the look that quickly found its way onto his face, her eyes narrowing. He wasn’t used to having someone stand up to him, let alone a female.
Standing there quietly, she was accessing the situation. He was alone and hungry, but the fact that he was doing more talking than he was using his claws told her that he wasn’t actually wanting an altercation. Nostrils flared softly as she let out a soft breath as he continued to demand her catch as his, running her tongue over her front teeth. “Lil’ lady. I like that.” She smiled softly, seeming friendly as she moved her paw to scoot the catch further back to now lay under her belly. “However, I believe this is my catch and that sweet talk will not get you a free meal tonight.” She meowed softly, pupils narrowing as he regarded her as a house cat. “Or something.” She shrugged, beginning to walk towards the tomcat as she refused to back down. He was taller than her and broader, but he had little to no meat on those bones to really hold his own. He wasn’t backing up either, those green eyes watching her warily, glancing behind her towards the catch. “I don’t like your mouth.” Sorrelember grunted.
Moving swiftly, the she-cat reared back as she used a sheathed paw to smack the top of his head, forcing him to flinch. That brought his head down further as she pushed off of her back paws to smack her paw against his shoulder blade as she dug her teeth into his scruff. Hard enough to draw blood but not hard enough to rip through the muscle as she used the muscles in her neck to slam him down to the ground on his side. Releasing his scruff, she placed her paw on his neck, near his jawline so he couldn’t turn his head to look at her, claws poking out of her sheathes. Her other from paw was on the ground behind his head, using her weight to hold him down by just his neck. “Now, this is how it’s really going to go.” Sorrelember smiled, her eyes narrowed dangerously. “I am going to let you up, and if you try any other funny business, I am going to leave a mark on your hind end that will have the other no names laughing.” She warned, although she was no killer and didn’t believe in killing, he didn’t need to know that. “If you watch that mouth, however. Perhaps we can share a meal. You look a little worse than a soaked kit.” She smirked, pressing her weight a little more into his neck to hear him grunting in discomfort. “Where I come from, a little bit of manners can get you a long way.”
Lifting her paw off of his neck, she stepped back, keeping her eyes on the male as he coughed and touched his neck. “A meal or a bleeding hind end.” Sorrelember warned before she finally turned away from him, lowering herself on her belly as she held the prey to her chest, nipping away the skin. “You know how to hunt? Or just how to steal?” She asked, taking a bite out of her meal, displeased it had gotten cold but a meal was a meal.
