windclan medicine cat
"Don't go running around on that leg yet, okay?" the small medicine cat called over his shoulder as he left Lavenderpaw in the clearing. The apprentice had sprained her paw chasing a rabbit, and had limped back into camp nearly in tears. It was one of those times where he was concerned by how... dramatic some cats could be. Whenever he wanted to do something, without a doubt, some cat would appear from nowhere and interrupt his flow. It was fine, he told himself, as frustrating as it could be.
Padding through the snow that covered the Windclan camp, he picked up the bundle of herbs he had left when Lavenderpaw had bound up to him and insisted he treat her sprained paw. Then, the little tom approached the nursery.
Right, now I can get back to what I was doing... Littlewoods thought to himself. Pushing his way into the nursery, he flicked his ears. "Heatherpetal?" He called in, fluffy tail brushing against the white flakes that covered the ground. "I've come to give you a checkup!" Entering fully, the medicine cat flicked his tail as he curled it over his paws. "How do you feel today? How are the kits faring?"

windclan medicine cat
the apprentice-sized tom waved his fluffy tail in greeting as he entered the nursery, for once feeling a sense of gratitude that he was smaller, and didn't crowd it so much. he sat back, allowing his patient to get up in her own time. in his experience so far, he had trained as much and as hard as he could to allow startledcrow to retire from his medicine cat duties without leaving the clan in a bad spot. speaking of startledcrow, littlewoods flicked his ears when heatherpetal mentioned that he would be displeased as he felt around her stomach.
"if startledcrow doubts my abilities as a medicine cat, he can come and tell me himself." the tom replied casually, a minimal bite to his words. in all honesty- it was frustrating to think that windclan's former medicine cat would try and put himself between heatherpetal and himself. "although, i do understand his anxiety... bringing kits into the world is always an exciting time." the tom felt at the sides of her stomach, giving a nod of approval.
"everything is feeling perfect so far." he commented, padding back to his herbs. her question made him consider, and he thoughtfully mulled over his response.
"exciting and nervous is a good way to phrase it." he mewed, "i always knew i wasn't cut out to be a fighter. that was... always wolfleap's thing, instead of mine." a forlorn expression crossed the medicine cat's face briefly, before it vanished as soon as it had arrived. "i am just grateful that starclan chose me."
