cinderpaw
thunderclan apprentice
crouching in the snow, cinderpaw kept herself low to the ground as snarlingbadger had taught her. she crept forward, her eyes focused on the shrew which had decided to show itself in the unending snowstorm. perhaps it was as desperate for food as the clans had become. her tail straight behind her, the she-cat crept a couple of pawsteps closer, eyes adjusting to the shade caused by the large oak trees that surrounded her. she breathed carefully, and quietly. her paws left the ground, and she thumped down with one paw on either side of the shrew, quickly hooking it on a claw and finishing it off.
cinderpaw had been told that she shouldn't be out camp on her own. since shadowclan's camp had been covered by snow, and they had been staying with thunderclan, there had been some cats fretting about another potential avalanche. namely, mapledawn, a shadowclan queen who had taken it upon herself to remind the troublesome apprentice when she caught her trying to creep out of camp on her own. perhaps she should go back before she was missed. picking up her shrew, she turned and padded in the direction of the camp, before she spotted a familiar glimpse of fur among the trees.
gravelstar!
a grin spread across her face as she dropped into her hunter's crouch once more, creeping through the undergrowth toward him. when she was satisfied she had got close enough, she dropped her shrew, and pounced.
"gravelstar!" she yowled as she landed beside him.
