The sun peeks through the leaf canopy, warm rays of sunlight dappling the forest floor. The warm toned brown tabby tom bounces through the forest, surprisingly quietly, his pelt blending in with the earthy surroundings. He followed closely- for the most part -after Echo. The air was filled with the fresh scent of new-leaf, and the ground squelched occasionally under paw from more recent rains. Roaringpaw didn't often find himself hanging out with the medicine cat, but he didn't seem to mind her company so far. Besides, while his mentor was busy with other duties, this was a nice way to get out of camp for a little while. Bright blue eyes scan the forest around them as he'd occasionally pause to mess around while Echo would continue on, but he was quick to catch up to her before she left view. Roaringpaw loved exploring the forest, tail swishing back and forth excitedly behind him. As he bounds through some mud, he leaves clear paw-prints left imprinted into it. "So... What are you looking for?" he inquires as he trots to fully catch up to the healer, peering up at her with eager to help eyes.

Greenleaf is in full flush. Temperatures reach nearly unbearable hights. Long-furred cats should stray from the sun.

Roaringpaw's ears perked as he listened very closely to what Echo had to say, and for a moment, the young assistant seemed to perk up. "Daisies? I know what those are!!" A familiar white flower he knew some she-cats tended to fall in awe over. He was so excited that he knew one of the things she listed, that he was bouncing in his spot, and nearly missed the rest of what she said she needed with his little celebration/ His attention focuses again however, as he plays close attention to her describing Juniper berries, and potentially, a beehive. He nods eagerly, paperthin ears flopping with the intense movement of his head. The tabby feline immediately begun to look around for the three things Echo had named for him. "I don't have much knowledge about the territory yet either! So we are in this together, hah!" He chirps and prances ahead of Echo some, before slowing down, making sure not to go off too far without her, while also being able to scan ahead first. After all, how awesome would it be if he found what she was looking for before she did? He scents at the air, his lips parting some as he really focused. Roaringpaw has a vague memory of what daisies smelled like, but unfortunately, the scent was absent from their current location. So focused on what he did know, he forgot to keep an eye out for the berries she'd described, and the young tomcat begins to bound right past a nice patch of them.

As leaf-bare melted slowly into newleaf - terminology Echo had only recently learned from the Clans - ThunderClan's forests had begun to bloom and spring to life in a way that was hopeful for the grey molly. It had been a challenge, coming to ThunderClan to heal during catastrophic events immediately followed through by the winter, but they had made it. Thank the stars for that, too, because Echo's storage for herbs had been getting very low. She'd been thankful to the other healers, who had willingly given her herbs when she'd explained the situation at the last medicine cat meeting, but more than that, she was pleased to get out of her den and collect some things with her own paws.
And, perhaps, those of a smaller, younger assistant.
Hazel eyes peered over her shoulder at the tom and she couldn't help but grin slightly at his enthusiasm. Although generally most of the Clan had been welcoming, it was still nice to see someone - no matter how young - who was simply excited to assist. And she was more than happy to have the help.
"A few things," she hummed in response, her scarred tail swaying thoughtfully behind her as she glanced around the forest. "I need daisies, some juniper berries," Echo paused, tilting her head slightly in thought. "And it probably wouldn't be too bad an idea t'have some honey stowed away." She stared down at Roaringpaw as he peered up at her, chuckling lightly. "An' you've got no idea what most'a those look like, huh?" She said, more to herself than anything, making sure to avoid any criticism in her voice. After all, things worked differently here. Not everyone learned healing and that seemed to work alright for them. However, to be safe, Echo went about describing the plants she was looking for, glancing about as she did so.
"Here's the thing," She added, her voice dropping in volume almost conspiratorily, though she was still grinning. "I ain't got too much knowledge about the territories yet. So you 'n I are gonna do some explorin', try to find the best spots, yeah? An' if you think you found somethin' I need, you call me over and I'll check it." It was mostly true. Echo had only been with ThunderClan for a few moons and the territories looked much different as plants started to grow in. But it was also her way of trying to connect with the young cat - of making it some sort of game. It didn't hurt to have a little fun while they worked.
