Cloudedstone's fur was soaked down to his skin, the large fluffy white and gray tom had slipped out of Skyclan Camp for some peace and quiet. He wanted to go down to the beach besides the falls, next to Riverclan territory to watch the sun shimmer across the waves like silverpelts stars shimmer within the eventide canvas of a night's sky. However, that required crossing a river, an unfortunately Cloudedstone wasn't as graceful as most other clanners believed Skyclanners were. Therefore, he slipped on the ice and cracked the surface, and halfway fell through, leaving his hindquarters drenched. He could feel the chilling bite of the wind breeze across his flank, the stinging scrape of a dog's fangs, he shivered as he trotted along towards the falls. Once he finally emerged upon the sandy shore, his white pelt a stark contrast against the tan sand coating the coast, he came to settle into an alcove a few feet away from the falls and the vast ocean to avoid being sprayed by the chilled waters. He sat there, his gaze shimmering with the wonders of the unknown, as he watched the sun slowly sinking down into the waves. The surface of the waves glistened with a pink and red glow, quite the romantic scene, if Cloudedstone had to put it into words. The tom inhaled deeply, taking in the wafting aroma of the ocean, salt and chill, but something so sweet as well. He exhaled and then twitched his tail, he let his gaze wander until caught sight of some flowers growing out of the cracks of the cliff face beside him. He blinked as he stared at them, it was a cluster of pretty pink and purple flowers, and as he stared at them, he felt his heart skip a beat or two. He knew exactly what these flowers were, he often had bellyaches as a kit due to a sensitive stomach, he had long since outgrown- and therefore he often had to lap up several of them at a time. They were mallows. "Mhnnn I haven't seen mallows in a while, I should take these back to Speckledmoss when I return to camp."
He muttered to himself, before casting his gaze back out into the ocean. Wondering what may lie beyond the rolling waves, just out of sight.
“This just so happens to be my favorite spot in our territory, shame it has to be on the border, this could cause some problems with Skyclan and Riverclan if my scent starts to leak out into your territory. I love watching the sun from here, the glint of its rays against the rippling waves always soothes me.” Cloudedstone replied, a smile stretching itself across his maw as his eyes shimmered with the sparkling of the waves, “I finished patrolling hours ago, right now I’m just here to sit and ponder about the future and where my life will lead.” The tom took up a paw and licked it several times, before drawing it over his ear. “I have been rather well, and yes I am pleased to announce I have earned my warrior name.” He stood up and puffed up his chest with pride. “My name is now Cloudedstone, I was given that name for being as sturdy as a stone in face of adversity. ironic, though, how it clashes with the softer sounding part of cloud in my name.” He couldn’t help but chuckle at the little pout that crossed over Mallowpaw’s maw. “I know it seems that warriorhood takes forever to get here, but I promise you’ll have your name before you know it. Mhnnnn I wonder what it shall be?”
The tom took a second to ponder the possibilities.
“Mallowsun perhaps, your eyes are a beautiful golden hue, or maybe Mallowbloom? For your quiet and gentle demeanor. Or even Mallowmarsh, for your pristine white fur?” He rambled off the names, coupling them with compliments. Which were genuine, because Mallowpaw truly was a good-looking tom in his own right.
“Well, you’re just a slight younger than me, so it won’t be long now. I would love to learn of your new name once you’ve gained it.”

The soon to be warrior had barely recognized the warrior that stood before him, eyes narrowed slightly as his whiskers quivered in the gentle breeze of that rather wintery after noon his ears twitching as he racked his brain for who this feline may be. When the tom had spoke finally it was almost as if a lightbulb flickered above his head. Relaxing the small pale calico american curl let out a soft purr in greeting. "Nah I finished my apprentice duties really early so I'm just out on a walk I suppose you could say I'm patrolling but that would kind of be a lie..." He started out at first as he took a seat his amber hues shifting to the side.
He wasn't completely sure as to why he was so far out from his own territory, you could say he was just out on a little adventure looking for nothing in particular. It was just a complete coincidence that he had managed to find his friend from the neighboring clan by the border. Arching a brow he turned his head back to the other tilting his head to the side a bit. "And you? What fancy you so close to the border? Are you on a patrol yourself?" He asked softly.
There was a part of him that just hoped that the tom wasn't and was also just out for a stroll. With being so close to becoming a warrior the last thing he needed was for some cat to cause some problems and preventing him from actually getting his warrior name. Imagine being the oldest apprentice in the clan because of some dumb cat causing some issues at the border. Nibbling on the inside of his lip he took a seat in front of him wrapping his bushy tail over his paw.
"How have you been? I feel like its been a really long time since I've last seen you! Have you become a warrior yet?" He questioned trying to vaguely remember the last gathering, he could recall them both still being apprentices then. "I still have another moon before I get my warrior name its so annoying" he whined softly a little pout crossing his maw.
Cloudedstone rose to his paws and turned towards the mallows, he sauntered his way over from his secluded alcove, fully intending on taking the flowers on the border for Skyclan's usage. They were definitely on the Skyclan side of the border, there was no mistaking it. They loomed over Skyclan's side of the territory, and that could mean only one thing and one thing alone, they were rightfully theirs to use. Having been so caught up in his musing prior, Cloudedstone hadn't even taken notice of Mallowpaw's presence. So, when he made his way over and found himself face to face with Mallowpaw, standing just a paw's length away from the border, he blinked once, twice, and yes even three times for good measure. He tilted his head and took in the apprentice's scent and the briny and salty scent of Riveclan wafted around him and infiltrated his senses. He recognized this apprentice. The two of them had spoken a scant few times before at gatherings. "Oh, Mallowpaw! Fancy meeting you here at the border, are you out and about on a patrol?"

A soft distance hum came from an apprentice who had felt as if becoming a warrior was never going to happen despite it being weeks away. He had finished his tasks for the day and was hanging about the camp clearing when he had a sudden urge to just walk around the clan's territory, perhaps he could find some more prey or even remark the clan territory since the recent snow fall could have easily washed their markings away. Seeking his mentor out he had asked if he could go out and a bout for a little and had made it a point to promise they'd be back before nightfall.
With the easiest grant of a yes, the feline had excitedly rushed out of the camp wall and set out on his little journey. Letting his paws take him wherever they were meant to go the young feline just let the calming sounds of the wind and distant noises soothe him a small smile dusting his lips his tail slightly twitching as he continued on walking about. It had only been recent when the feline had come to terms with the fact that being called a molly was something he didn't entirely like despite the gender he was assigned to at birth. He felt so much happier being considered a tom cat and pride himself on his newly made discovery. His clanmates hadn't cared too much about that notion and he simply continued on with his daily duties despite the occasional doubt about things, this just so happened to be one of those moments and was the main reason he had set out to begin with. He found being alone to being rather soothing and helped him calm down if he were to ever gets so worked up about things. There was just something about being one with nature that really spoke to him he couldn't exactly put his paw on it. He hadn't paid much attention to where exactly he was going before, he had found himself right next to the border that led into skyclans territory. Pausing slightly the feline stared out in front of him his amber eyes slowly shifting around him taking in the rocks and loose flowers that had managed to survive Leafbares clutches. That was all before it landing on a certain little stone. The one that he'd grow to adore the more he hung around.
"Well hello there darling.."
