Pollenwasp loved the quiet, it allowed them to ponder upon the vast arsenal of knowledge they’d accrued over their nearly four years of life as a Skyclan Warrior. It also gave them a break from the chaos around camp, what with clanmates waking up screaming in the dead of night.
Haunted by night-terrors so visceral that it took them a while to return from their dark ruminations over the dreams. Pollenwasp didn’t know what kind of perilous pandemic had descended upon their clan, but they prayed to Starclan it would end soon.
It was rather cumbersome, being woken up every night, at different intervals. Pollenwasp couldn’t quite grasp it, they had yet to be tormented by these terrors in the night, whatever they may be. Pollenwasp shook their head and continued to trot by the stream leading towards the secluded falls, thinking that mayhap they should consider crafting a secret den to slumber in during the night.
Just so that they could finally get a full night of sleep, and not have to jolt awake in fear that something serious could actually be happening, only to realize that another one of their clanmates was merely dreaming. If there ever was a TRUE emergency, Pollenwasp worried that the clan wouldn’t be rested enough to deal with it.
Yes, Pollenwasp would make their own little den somewhere near the falls, it would muffle any undesirable noises. They would make sure at the very least, they were well rested to deal with any threats that may come for Skyclan.
As Pollenwasp trotted, they kept an eye out for soft nest material and listened to the rush of the water, it soothed their sorrows of missing out on a restful slumber these past few days.
In fact, Pollenwasp was so focused, they at first were unaware that something else had risen above the whoosh of the water.
Screaming.

A Lost Kittypet, Searching for a Home
"HELP!" A she-cat wailed, paws treading water as she flailed uselessly at the surface of the churning currents pushing her further downstream. Momentarily, her head vanished below the surface before she appeared again, coughing and spluttering up water. Just how had she ended up all the way out here in the first place? Well... it had been a long story. After her elderly twoleg had passed away, Baby had been left in his empty home. Sure, she'd been able to borrow food from her friends and their twolegs, but it was when her twolegs' kit came along that she had left home. He had brought dogs with him. And these dogs didn't like Baby. They'd snarled and snapped at her, tearing fur from her pelt as she barely managed to get away, leaping over the fence and losing her collar in the process.
She could have gone to stay with one of her friends in the neighbourhood, but the dogs... the dogs were so bad she knew that it wasn't safe for her there, and that her twoleg's kit hated her enough to chase her out. So she began searching. She'd heard of the clan cats that made their homes in the woods among the trees and the rivers, and had began to wander in the hopes of finding one of them to take her in. However, she hadn't anticipated falling into the river whilst trying to cross, and being swept away.
Baby knew she was going to die here. She knew that her waterlogged pale-ginger pelt was only dragging her down. This was until she saw a glimpse of fur along the riverbank, and began paddling with whatever strength she had left, trying and hoping she could make it to the riverbank.
