Yesterday.
That was the day her life changed forever. By her own volition, of course, as that's how everything happened to Weaver. She made all of her own decisions now, seeing as she was an adult. Three sunrises ago, Weaver made the announcement that she would be leaving the nest to make her own way in the world. Her parents and siblings were sad to see her go, and it truly made her sad to leave... but surely they all knew this would come eventually, right? They couldn't all just live in that barn together forever. So when the day came, she told her family goodbye, and headed off into the unknown.... right in the direction of ShadowClan.
That's how she ended up here, hiding up in a tree where nobody could see her, waiting for one particular feline. Honestly she was getting sick of the waiting, she wanted to just march right into ShadowClan camp and announce that she lived there now... but she wasn't stupid. She knew that would only end badly for her. So, she needed help to get in. And that help would come in the form of her older brother, whether he liked it or not.
The golden she-cat was about to doze off to sleep, having sat in the tree for what felt like hours, when she finally spotted the familiar tortoiseshell tom heading her way. She knew it was a great idea to hide near one of the plants he liked to play around with! After taking a moment to mentally pat herself on the back, she silently watched him from her hidden perch. Perfect, he was alone! They could talk in peace. "Ugh, finally! I didn't think you were EVER gonna wander by!" The she-cat complained loudly, slipping out of her hiding spot. "I've been waiting for you all day!" Weaver jumped down from her perch, giggling at the dumbfounded look on Waspsight's face. She was already enjoying this little family reunion. "Awww, Wasp, what's the matter? You don't look happy to see me," She teased, dramatically pressing up against the older tom for a moment and giving him a big puppydog pout. "Well, I sure am happy to see my favorite big brother!"

Waspsight was out on his weekly herb gathering expedition, taking note of what they were short on, what was rare to find, and other assorted kinds of plants that ShadowClan would need pending the upcoming Leaf-Fall. Better safe than sorry, right? It was his responsibility to make sure that the medicine cat den was well stocked and prepared for emergencies while his mentor recovered from her incident.
With the cold season coming, the soil would dry soon and that would be the perfect climate for the catmint to grow and thrive. While he hoped that they wouldn’t need it, the herb was rare and since it grew in their territory, he knew that he had to grab it whenever he saw it or when they did need it, their luck would come short. He wanted to prevent that if he could.
So deep in his thoughts, Waspsight nearly jumped out of his pelt when a cat lept out of a nearby tree and yowled at him. If he had nine lives, he would have lost one right then and there. And he would have lost a second the moment he laid eyes on the cat who had jumped out at him. “Weaver!” He hissed, keeping his voice down as he saw his little sister, smirking, proud as can be at him. Did she not understand that she was trespassing? That if anyone else saw her, she could face serious consequences? Clearly not! If her happy-go-lucky attitude was anything to speak on. When she pressed up to him, he was not amused at all with her mannerisms. “Weaver, please-” he groaned, already feeling defeated by her.
“You can’t just come and go around here as you please, you understand that, right?” Waspsight begged her to understand. He wanted to scold her to the stars and back until it bored into her little brain that Clanlife and Lonerlife were two different things. But he had a feeling like he would be wasting his breath and his time. It wasn’t that he wasn’t happy to see his sister- believe that he was, but their way of life was at risk if Weaver were to expose the truth of their family.
