As leafbare continued to have its piece with the clans below the more a certain someone became bitter, having a rather short temper as large white snow fell from the skies above. This time of the year was probably one of the worst time for Crimsonsky as she simply couldn't stand the wetness it brought and the bone chilling temperatures'. It was also the time of the year in which she found a lot of her clanmates to be a little bit more annoying the usual, she just simply couldn't put a paw on it and she really did try her hardest to bite her tongue really not in the mood to deal with anyone most days.
To much of her dismay this day was no better, having been tasked to train with someone named Birchflame? Certainly someone this molly never met, she also didn't understand why they exactly had to practice some battle moves to begin with finding the whole excuse of just refreshing their memories on certain moves they could have forgotten over time. The ginger feline didn't really have much of an issue though she personally believed she was one of the best when it came to fighting and tracking things. Just the mere thought of sneaking up on someone and catching them off guard just brought her some weird form of joy.
Seeing as she had no choice but to put up with the task the molly grumpily waited for her partner. "You'd think they'd be quicker seeing as we all were there when they were dishing out duties.." she grumbled quietly to herself her tail lashing from side to side as her her bright blue hues scanned the area. When she noticed someone she assumed to be the person in question she stomped over to him. "I'm guessing your Birchflame correct? If so lets get this done and over with I really don't want to spend all day out in the snow." She coldly said staring blankly at him as her ears twitched in the light breeze.
Birchflame
‘Oh no! I am going to be late!’ The medium sized cedar brown and grey tabby tom thought as he clumsily rushes to his paws. Throwing a quirky grin and rushed apology over his shoulder to his father; Saplingskies. The poor lad had lost track of time conversing with his father, knowing there was times his old man felt left out and lonely. Birchflame felt the need to include Saplingskies in how his days were going even when most days nothing in particular happened. Though today was another story, today would be his first day in partnering up with Crimsonsky. He had no idea what he had done to Mercuryrose to piss her off, but it was duly noted! That’s for sure! Birchflame understood and even embraced his lack for offensive attacks. His lanky form only further proves what he already knew—he was not a fighter. Course he knew how to defend himself if needed, but that did not mean he could execute effectively. Shadeflower always did tell him that his brain was too big for his head—hence why he was always unsteady on his paws.
Birch could not help but feel his nerves creep on him as he reached closer and closer to his destination. He had seen Crimsonsky several times during his apprenticeship, watching her train to near perfection with her mentor. Many talk about how the fiery colored molly had an heart of ice and stone, Birchflame could not help but silently agree with them. He hated that Mercuryrose had assigned them both together as to him it seemed unfair to give Crimsonsky the advantage. Sighing through his nose as the lanky warrior finally slips through the small clearing where they had been assigned to train at. Letting his carrot orange gaze flicker attentively around the peaceful enough area.
Birch could just imagine that soon enough the area will be filled with his pain groans from getting tossed around like an rag doll. Ears flicking back nervously as he sees Crimson lean against a pine tree, her blank gaze having been locked on him since he arrived. Flashing her a small smile as he approaches her. ‘Might as well get this over with.’ With that in mind he pauses before her, clearing his throat awkwardly at the tense silence between them. Almost jumping at the sound of her voice, noticing her less than amused tone. “U-um yeah sure! Where would you like to go? The center or here?” He babbles out, flicking his tail in the general direction of the center as he talks. “I’m not the biggest fan of the cold either! Or water” he adds as an afterthought. Oh how he wished the ground would just swallow him up right now, it would save them both having to listen to him. Shuffling from side to side as he tries to avoid eye contact, not wanting to make the situation any worse than it already was. “Ahhh also sorry for being late…” Birchflame apologizes sincerely as that had not been how he wanted his first impression to be.
