With the sun going down, the Loner began to quicken his pace. After having spoken with Silverscreech, Briar, Zinnia and Torrent, they'd given him instructions on where to go.
"I hope I didn't miss the sunset patrol." He muttered to himself. Truth be told, he had no Earthly idea why his heart was leading him to SkyClan but something, something just out of his reach was indeed beckoning his soul.
He nosed his way between some bushes, stepping into the sunlit clearing. Opening his maw to scent the air, his nostrils twitching, the heavy long furred white tom and ginger tom sat heavily, huffing with frustration.
At the sound of a snapping twig, the heavy set tom turned his gaze to the ginger tom approaching him.
Though the unspoken threat of the ginger Tom's hung in the air, the loner seemed unfazed. Instead he tilted his head, his calm expression bland as oats. "I don't mean any disrespect or offense, though I can't help but notice you claim this as your and your Clans territory." He responded.
Then he added, Musing. "That begs the question, is this SkyClan territory, and are you the Leader, Great one?" It was clear when this unusual tom called him great one, he meant it as a term of high respect, as the long furred loner began to almost grovel, lowering himself into a bow, head ad gaze down.
"My name is Hephaestion and I come seeking the cats of the sky and clouds that I've been questing for." He informed him.
Firestar |The Courageous Lion of Skyclan|
It was one of those rare moments that Firestar found himself alone, having taken a break from his leadership duties to clear his mind. The large Maine Coon wanted to enjoy the few moments to himself before going to find his mate, Auroraskies, he was worried about her as she was pregnant once more with their sixth litter. The couple had not expected to have so many kits, but he could not help but be thrilled at the thought of his large family growing even more. Though, their last litter had taken a toll on Aurora as the four boys had certainly been bigger than expected, taking after their father in size. Firestar had made sure one of his older kits were around Aurora to keep an watchful eye on her without smothering her, as he did not want to feel the wrath of his pregnant mate.
Frowning as he catches the faint scent of an intruder in his territory, a small sigh escapes his lips as he could not understand the stupidity of others to trek into territory that was clearly claimed. 'It has been a while since i have been able to deal with such matters myself' he inwardly muses as his emerald and ember bi-colored eyes harden as he stalks towards the scent. His maw parting as he takes in the unknown trail unfurling before him. Lighting his paw steps, being mindful of the foliage as he did not want to give away his position. Hunching his large bulky frame within the tree line as his sharp gaze intently narrows on Hephaestion.
Remaining hidden as the leader decides to observe the oblivious feline, to figure out the ulterior motive of the rogue or loner. Firestar tilts his head slightly in exasperation as the large white and ginger tom seemed completely lost. Shaking his head at the clueless tom, deciding to end the tom's suffering as the large fiery Maine Coon emerges silently from the shadows. His sharp features remaining stoic as he stands tall, purposely stepping on a twig to make his presence known. "I would hope you have a great excuse as to why you are tresspassing onto my territory. I do not take kindly to having foolish rogues trotting loudly through my clan" Firestar cooly states as he gives Hephaestion an unimpressed look. "It would be wise of you to turn back where you came. " he warns, though the large tom did not pose a threat, one can never be too sure anymore. 'He might just be smart enough to play dumb'.
