As the sun rose over the forest, Ryefield had gathered a small group of cats for her very own, first time ever leading a patrol. Sure she’d sent some out since she’d become deputy, but this was her first time leading one herself- and Ravenstar had insisted that he join them. Sure, Ryefield was worried about what they may return to camp to without leader or deputy there, but she’d said nothing and allowed him to attend.
Despite her excitement, she couldn’t help but feel that twinge of nervousness she was sure that would hinder her ability to do her best, though she knew as deputy she shouldn’t allow either of these emotions to surface. The patrol has moved, mostly silently, through the territory towards the pines that Ryefield had mentioned would be their hunting grounds this afternoon.
Ryefield was about to dismiss them to hunt, when suddenly a small squirrel darts right through their path up ahead. Unique gaze watched it for a moment, before turning back to her clanmates. “We will hunt around here, and be sure to meet back in this clearing once you’re finished,” she tells them, voice low to not startle any prey before flicking her tailtip to dismiss them, and heading off in the direction she’d seen the squirrel run off too.

Ravenstar
Shadowclan Leader
A golden gaze was scanning the area, observing the area. Ravenstar had let a small sigh through his nostrils, closing his eyes for a moment and lowering his head. It had been a couple of moons since becoming Shadowclan leader; and he was still getting the hang of it. No one really gave him a run-down about leadership, so he had been figuring it by himself. Of course, his spirit guides had been attempting to lend their voice,, But it got tedious when 9 voices were speaking in his head all at once, or they chose to bicker with each other.
Moving towards the entrance of his den, the massive black leader grumbled slightly when leaping off the high point and into the clearing. Grunting in response to a couple of greetings, the black tom had strolled towards Ryefield’s patrol. He wasn’t fully confident in his trust towards his deputy, not yet at least. Of course naming a very young deputy had caused some questioning from the senior warriors and elders, which of course he didn’t care about, he was most likely the youngest leader in Shadowclan.
His gaze narrowed slighly when looking at his deputy, staying silent when the others approached. Allowing his deputy to take the lead, the black tom decided to stay at the rear, observing his peers. “We’ll meet back here.” the leader simply said before disappearing fully into the shadows. A technique that his mother always taught him, stick to the shadows.. No one could notice you from there.. Other felines or small animals
