Ravenstar
Shadowclan Leader
A chorus of crickets were singing through the pine forest of Shadowclan, leaves crunching underneath huge paws. The black tom had let out a small grunt before his golden eyes narrowed slightly. The Shadowclan leader had agreed for Firestar to call his meeting on Shadowclan territory in order for Desertstar’s traveling to be easier. However, he still wasn’t overly fond of two other leaders traveling within his territory.. Call him paranoid, but Ravenstar didn’t trust to easily.. What did Firestar want in this meeting that couldn’t wait for a gathering?
Letting out a small sigh through his nostrils, the Shadowclan leader had arrived at the meeting first. His feathery tail swishing the leaves on the ground as the tom padded across the clearing. Ravenstar felt a nagging feeling through his mind, causing him to shake his head slightly. One of his guides was attempting to speak with him, but the Shadowclan leader let out a grunt. It wasn’t until Leafstorm, one of his guides, spoke quietly to him ‘I don’t understand why you agreed to a meeting on our land.. Shadowclan shouldn’t even become involved with Skyclan’s troubles.’ He said, to which Ravenstar had let out a snort.
A couple of moments had passed until Firestar had appeared quietly, Desertstar following after him. Watching the other two leaders with narrowed eyes, letting out a small grunt in greetings towards the other two while taking a seat in the middle of the clearing. Inviting them to sit down with a nod, Ravenstar was quietly listening to the crickets for a moment and closed his eyes. It wasn’t until the huge black leader spoke quietly “What business do you have with us today Firestar?” The Shadowclan leader questioned, opening his eyes to gaze at the Skyclan leader.
Desertstar
Leader of Windclan
The golden she-cat's ears twitched forward, picking up every nuance of the Skyclan leader's words. Her heart ached for Firestar and his clan. The sickness plaguing SkyClan's territory was no small matter, and starvation was a cruel fate—one that no cat should have to endure. Desertstar knew all too well the struggles of leading a clan through hard times. She had faced her own share of challenges as leader of WindClan, and she understood the weight of responsibility that rested on Firestar's broad shoulders.
When Ravenstar spoke, offering a compromise that would allow SkyClan's patrols to hunt in Shadowclan territory, she felt a flicker of surprise and quiet admiration. She had not expected a new leader to display such wisdom and diplomacy. It was a generous offer, one that could mean the difference between life and death for many of Firestar's cats. Despite being new to this, Ravenstar seemed to already understand the importance of cooperation between the clans; the delicate balance a leader must maintain between the needs of their clan and the greater good of all the clans, especially in times of crisis.
A subtle warmth blossomed in her chest at that thought, and she quickly added, "I believe it is only right that WindClan offers what aid we can. In addition to the shared grounds Ravenstar has offered, you have my permission to hunt in WindClan territory, as well.” Pausing briefly, her gaze flicked over to Ravenstar, her eyes softening slightly. "WindClan stands with SkyClan in this. If there is anything more we can do to help, do not hesitate to ask."
Ravenstar
Shadowclan Leader
Watching Desertstar getting up and approaching him, the Shadowclan leader watched her movements carefully, an eyebrow arched. It wasn’t until she had spoken her words that slightly surprised him. The black tom was quiet for a moment, listening to every word that she had said. Letting out a soft grunt when the Windclan leader had spoken, his golden gaze looked at Desertstar for a moment before dipping his head in respect towards her “Thank you.” Ravenstar said quietly, as he was merely a tom of a few words.. But in that moment, Desertstar had gained his respect for speaking to him.
His narrowed gaze was on Firestar as the Skyclan leader began to speak, his eyebrows were furrowed. Ah yes, he had heard about the rivalry between Hawkstar and Firestar. Ravenstar had been familiar with the politics of the clans since he was a mere kit, watching Mercuryrose handling the business of Shadowclan. The young leader was basically the tie breaker, but also had family within Skyclan due to his aunt, Auroraskies, in Skyclan. Grunting slightly at the huge ginger Maine Coon’s words, he was watching the Skyclan leader. Firestar was desperate, and Ravenstar knew it.
It was extremely well known that Firestar had a lot of pride, and was extremely stubborn. To go ask help from Hawkstar, that was one of Firestar’s last resorts.. But how desperate was Firestar to get that temporary land? War? Letting out a soft sigh through his nose, the black tom shook his head slightly. No, there would surely be a battle between the clans due to this dispute. It was silent between the three leaders for a moment before Ravenstar quietly spoke up
“I know leaf-bare has been tough on everyone.. While Shadowclan is in decent shape..” Ravenstar began, thinking of his words carefully. The Shadowclan leader was hoping that his actions wouldn’t backfire on him “We have three hunting patrols throughout the day.. If your hunting patrols meet up with my own at the border in a timely matter.. You may be allowed to hunt within our lands, whatever prey that your patrol brings back.. It’s yours.” Ravenstar said, to which he felt a couple of eyes burning at the back of his head. His spirit guides were there, he knew some were judging him while some others were approving of the action.
“I will not allow a clan to starve, but I expect your patrols to behave in a manner that will not disturb my own patrols while they’re out.”
Firestar |The Courageous Lion of Skyclan|
The whispering howling wind ruffles Firestar’s fiery pelt as he stalks to the concealed clearing within Shadowclan territory. Ears twitching at the consistent sound of crickets chirping and the faint greenish glow of fireflies lighting his way. His gaze remains calm and calculated as he knew that he needed to keep his emotions more in check in order to get through this meeting he had conducted in peace. Though if one looked deep enough into his eyes, one would be able to spot the steely resolve and cold festering hate swirling in his ember and emerald eyes. Firestar embodied the spirit of a lion, prowling as he slips through the foliage into the clearing. His large stature standing tall and poised as his sharp gaze instantly lands upon Ravenstar and Desertstar. Regarding them silently for a moment, knowing the two leaders were perplexed as to why he had called for such a meeting. It was not often or common for the leaders to meet especially only three out of the five.
Firestar had chosen these two leaders specifically due to the fact that he knew he could trust them and their judgement. He briefly remembered seeing Raven’s spiritual form during his trail, knew that the leader had a strong connection to Starclan and was Mercuryrose’s beloved son and prodigy, even with his youth, Firestar could see the makes of a fine Leader within. Desertstar was wise beyond her years and held such a calming persona that it eased the tension within Firestar if just barely. A quiet exhale escapes his maw as he waits silently as Desertstar and Ravenstar settle and greet one another. All Firestar supplied was a gracious nod to them both as he remains standing as he was too restless to settle beside them. Tilting his large cranium as he instantly noted the wariness and apprehension within Ravenstar’s voice, telling the ginger tom that even if Ravenstar had agreed to this meeting, the new leader would not be swayed easily.
Humming thoughtfully as Desertstar reassures Ravenstar that Fire must have a reason to request their presence. Flicking his tail back and forth with slight impatience before speaking clearly, ”I have asked you both here for a reason indeed.” he agrees as his attention flickers between the two. ”There is a sickness that lies within my woods, whispers in the night that have run off prey causing my clan to weaken with starvation on the rise” Firestar begins, deciding to give them the whole picture now instead of being interrupted with questions later. ”Few days prior, I had seek out an audience with Hawkstar as we share borders. Requesting aid in feeding my clan during harsh times by inquiring about hunting on a section of his land. The spineless oaf blatantly refused out of spite towards me” he gruffly states with anger lacing his tone before shaking his head, trying to quell the rising tide of emotions within.
”I am here before you today to ask for aid in showing Hawkstar that refusing a clan in desperate need is selfish and dishonorable in the eyes of Starclan” Firestar firmly states as his features remain stoic. ”Denying me only is one thing, but to deny a whole clan when you can do something about it? I cannot stand by and allow Hawkstar to continue the path of his own self interest without him knowing the consequences. Even if certain leaders don’t get along, does not mean to simply turn away from a whole clan on the brink of collapse” he strongly finishes, his resolve unwavering. He would make Hawkstar pay for turning his back on him, for disrespecting his mate and kits, for placing his own selfish interests above the greater good. Hawkstar had awoken a raging lion of inferno within Firestar, one ready to scorch the earth in rage.
Desertstar
The Leader of Windclan
Desertstar sat beside Firestar, her long, slender legs folded neatly beneath her, and her long tail curled around her paws in a graceful arc. Her eyes, curious and calculating, were fixed on Ravenstar as he entered the clearing, studying the new ShadowClan leader with a calm, assessing gaze. As the young leader questioned Firestar about the purpose of the meeting, Desertstar's ears swiveled forward, attuned to every word. She noted the wariness in the ShadowClan leader's voice. It was understandable, given the circumstances. It was unusual for clan leaders to meet like this, away from the safety of the Gathering place, and she, too, was eager to know why they had been summoned.
Whatever Firestar had called them here to discuss, she knew it must be of grave importance. The Skyclan leader was not one to waste time on trivial matters. "Firestar has been leader a long time," she told him, turning her head slightly to face Firestar, her delicate features composed and serene, "I trust that he had a good reason for bringing us here, and that whatever he has to say will be of utmost importance to all three of our clans."
Rising gracefully to her paws, she quietly stepped forward. The tall, slender she-cat moved with an almost regal grace, her long legs carrying her effortlessly across the forest floor. before stopping a respectful distance from the ShadowClan leader. "Ravenstar,” she dipped her head in pleasant formality, her voice carrying a quiet note of authority as she spoke, “Before we begin, it is a pleasure to finally make your acquaintance. I have heard much about you, and I would like to thank you for agreeing to host this meeting on your territory,” she continued with a thoughtful look in her sunlit eyes, her words measured, each syllable carefully chosen.
Desertstar's gaze lingered on Ravenstar for a moment longer, taking in the subtle signs of his personality— the slight tenseness in his shoulders, the watchful glint in his eyes. She wondered what challenges he had faced to earn his place as leader of ShadowClan. "I look forward to working with you to ensure the well-being of our clans,” she finished, her tone formal yet respectful. With a final nod, Desertstar turned and padded back to her spot beside Firestar, her movements graceful and purposeful. She settled beside the large orange tom, the golden light of the setting sun catching her fur, making it shimmer like burnished gold.
She tilted her head slightly, a small, subtle movement that spoke of curiosity rather than impatience as she waited to hear whatever Firestar had called them there to discuss.
