Pebblepaw
Riverclan Apprentice
The white and gray tom’s blue eyes were shining in amusement as the large tom was watching his younger brother in a hunting position, stalking a mouse. It was almost time for their warrior assignments and Pebblepaw couldn’t help but become excited. Shellfeather and Pebblepaw had been a great duo, it was like the two had a brain cell together. Watching Squidpaw, he knew that his mother was behind them both.. Observing them. It had been quite an adjustment since Sorrelember and Darktorrent had parted ways as a couple, but his mother was a strong she-cat and braved it all. Pebblepaw admired his mother, wanted to be everything that she was.. But also the large white and gray tom was a go with the flow type of cat.. He didn’t want to live to such high expectations as his siblings and other apprentices were expected to live by, Pebblepaw just wanted to just live the chilled life of a warrior.
It took some encouragement from Sorrelember to get him to leave camp today, as Pebblepaw would rather climb a tree and just sit there for hours and watch the clouds. But the mother and son duo were currently nearby the beach, a place that their mother loved. Letting out a blep, Pebblepaw’s blue eyes shined as he suddenly found the perfect prey as he suddenly got into a hunter’s crouch and moved quietly moved towards it with determination. His toe beans suddenly hit the cool sand and the tom let out a small shiver, Pebblepaw didn’t expect the sand to be so cold! But again, the weather had been extremely cold as of late.. Which was weird because Pebblepaw assumed that the weather would clear up and warmer temperature would arrivate.. But nothing.
“I got you!” Pebblepaw said, before leaping towards the thing that he had his eyes on, his large paws landed on the large piece of seaweed and the tom released a purr of happiness.. Finally, the white and gray tom had been waiting so long to catch this piece of prey! He began pawing at the piece of seaweed, hearing his mother calling his name before turning around and the tom’s eyes lit up “Hey Mom!” Pebblepaw said, and moments later Squidpaw had joined. Looking down at the piece of seaweed, the white and gray apprentice sat down for a moment while his tail began wagging in happiness “Look what I’ve caught!” Pebblepaw said proudly, as nothing could beat this. This piece of seaweed was better than any fish or land creature that he had caught so far, he knew that Shellfeather would be extremely proud of this as well! His mentor was so supportive. Leaning down to sniff at the sea plant, he watched his mother to raise an eyebrow at him.
“Can I eat it now or later?” 88ffec
