Edgefrost
Riverclan Warrior
His dark eyes were narrowed slightly, a small huff had escaped him as the massive Maine Coon was stalking through the direction of the Thunderclan border. Pebblebelly had told him that someone was waiting for him around that area, and Edgefrost was certain that it was Chanetellefrost. Their one night of passion was a while ago, and he promised that they would never interact again so no one would suspect anything. It was just a normal day in the Riverclan camp with his sons until Pebblebelly barged into the conversation. Unfortunately the light gray warrior had been ripped a new one by the black and gray tom. While being pulled back by Sleekfeather, he was told to cool down so Edge had left Riverclan to have a moment alone to himself before going to see Chantellefrost.
Was she okay?
Edgefrost didn’t develop romantic feelings towards the beautiful bengal, their one night of passion had happened due to physical attraction and loneliness. What was she thinking about asking to see him again, they could be caught! Closing his eyes for a moment, Edge let out a loud groan. It wasn’t until Edgefrost stopped at the sight of Chant that caused him to stop for a moment, the Bengal didn’t notice him yet. The molly was sitting nearby, her gaze focused on the ground. The way that Chant had her tail around herself protectively around herself. There was something about her expression that was unreadable, was everything ok? Leaning on the willow tree for a moment, he observed her. Although there weren't any romantic feelings involved, he cared about the beautiful bengal that was in front of him. Why did she look so uncertain?
Did anyone find out about their one night stand?
Clearing his throat slightly, Edge’s shoulder rested on the bark of the willow with his eyes narrowed. “I thought you had mentioned it would be better if we didn’t speak to each other again.” Edge said, arching an eyebrow. Letting out a sigh, the massive Maine Coon made his way towards the bengal molly. Stopping at the invisible line that was the Thunderclan-Riverclan border, he studied her for a second. What was going through that head of hers? Edge never understood females, it was probably the reason why his romantic relationships resulted in failure. Thank Starclan that he had sons, as he would have been in trouble if Edge had daughters.
“So what’s wrong? I know you wouldn’t cause me to almost beat up a clanmate after he so publicly told my other peers that you needed to see me.” Edge said dryly, resisting the urge to roll his eyes. If Chant was here to start some kind of confrontation, he wasn’t in the mood. Sitting down for a moment, his feathery tail wrapped neatly around his paws as he awaited his answer. Little did Edge know, both of their lives were about to change forever.. That Edge and Chant’s relationship was about to change forever.
Chanterellefrost |The Unbroken of Thunderclan|
It was such a relief to have the reassurance from Edgefrost, to hear him stand up in his responsibility in the pregnancy. She had heard of his wreck less behavior and playboy ways especially after the messy departure from his ex mate. Yet, seeing this caring side of him melted her heart, she could not help but silently wish he would show that side of him to others often. Why did Tom cats believe that appearing tough is what she-cats found attractive in regards to lifetime commitment? Chanterellefrost had a feeling that not even Starclan knew, and felines say Molly’s are complicated? Nodding in agreement, yes they were both equally at fault. If they hadn’t met that night they wouldn’t be in this predicament. Though, as the cherry bengal molly glances down at her barely swollen bump, she could not help but smile in excitement and love. She could not wait to welcome her kits into the world.
Tilting her chin upwards as she feels Edge’s large paw gently cover her stomach. Silently watching his eyes light up just like how hers had done previously. He was excited too. “I don’t need you to be a perfect man” Chant softly says. A small smile gracing her beautiful features, “I just need you to be a father.” If he was willing to stand by her and the kits, to be in their lives, that’s more than what she could ask for and had hoped for. Shifting slightly away from the Maine Coon, rubbing her eyes to get rid of the dried tears. Scoffing back a laugh as he grumbles out that it was no one’s business. “I wish that were true. Sadly my ex-mate is the leader. I doubt he will not let it slide. But you are right, it is no one’s business but our own” Chant firmly agrees. She would not give her clan mates the satisfaction of knowing. “Yes, a place of neutral ground would be best. I don’t want to have to keep covering for your impulsive actions of crossing the border” Chant lightly teases as she nudges him carefully back into Riverclan.
Ears swirling in his direction, taking in his tone of voice as he expresses the want of having a daughter. Chant could only imagine how he was handling all boys on his own. “Be careful what you wish for! Daughters know how to get you wrapped around their little paws” She warns with amusement in her cyan turquoise eyes before rising to her paws to follow along. “Have anywhere in mind?” She wonders. This was just the beginning of a new chapter for these unlikely felines. A friendship forged by a one night of passion and lifetime of co-parenting.
