The silver tom's gaze darkened as Goldensong seemed to react negatively to his words. He found he always had to put so much effort in to tiptoeing around her feelings, and he wished he could just toss her aside already. If she was this sensitive over a small slip of the tongue, then how would she react if he was actually honest with her? He swallowed hard, drawing a steadying breath before he spoke again. "Come on, Goldensong," he hummed, "You misunderstood; you know I'd never say anything to hurt you." His mood seemed to shift dramatically, then, as she composed herself. Her excitement over him brought a smile to his face, his eyes glowing as he tipped his head to the side.
"I know," he purred as she admitted she'd missed him. "I promise I'll try to make more time for us; you're important to me, you know." His chest swelled as she said she couldn't wait for what he had planned. Eyes crinkling with his smirk, a purr erupted in his chest. "You'll see in just a minute," he soothed, leaning over to nudge her gently with his cheek. "We're almost there." He continued on his way, tail waving proudly behind him. They rounded a bend in the path, and came upon a clearing in the trees. "Look," he murmured, poking his nose toward a small patch of white flowers, hardly visible against the fresh layer of snow that covered the forest floor. "Don't touch them; they're poisonous," he warned, "But they're pretty, aren't they?"
He seemed far too proud of himself for this discovery; he was so sure Goldensong would appreciate his genius just as much as he did. "A kittypet told me they're called Christmas roses. Her twolegs have some in their garden; I knew I had to bring some here as soon as I saw them," he explained, flashing a smile at his companion. "They bloom during leafbare. It gets so boring out here when there's nothing green," he complained, breathing a slow sigh.

Her green eyes widened at his words, ears pinned back to her head as her fluffy tail tucked between her legs. Goldensong didn’t like this, seeing this side of the male in front of her. Opening her mouth in shock, the spotted molly wasn’t quite sure what to say. “I’m.. I’m sorry.” The young warrior whispered softly, a hurt expression on his face. The molly couldn’t help but feel an incredible amount of guilt. How could she doubt his loyalties when Daffodilpool had such good intentions towards her?
“Can we pretend this happened..? Start all over and just enjoy this..?” She pleaded with him, not wanting to ruin the date any further with her stupid actions. Goldensong didn’t deserve Daffodilpool, she was too sensitive with her feelings and needed to stop being insecure it seemed. Letting out a small sigh, her tail lashed in frustration before getting up and beckoning her head towards the white roses “Let’s just enjoy this night.. Please.” She muttered before looking at the flowers, and went towards them.
Once seeing the gray tom sitting next to her at the corner of her eye, a frown appeared on her face when looking down “I just wanted to say.. Thank you for tonight, even if I ruined it.” She muttered before turning to him with a frown on her face, Goldensong hoped that he forgave her. She wouldn’t be able to forgive herself if he couldn’t find it in her heart.

The spotted tom's tail lashed as Goldensong questioned him about the kittypet, his expression falling. He had to fight not to lash out, making a real effort to control the overwhelming anger that swept over him at her interrogation. What gave her the right? "Am I not allowed to have friends?" he countered coldly, glancing at her from the corner of his eye. "I'm shocked, Goldensong-- hurt, even," he pressed, "I had no idea you thought like that." He was quick to spin the whole thing around on her, refusing to take any responsibility for what he'd indirectly admitted to.
"If you don't want me to have any friends besides you, just tell me," he challenged, "I'd hate to make you upset with me about it; if it'll keep you happy with me, I'll gladly cut them all off." He settled onto his haunches, amber gaze fixed on the she-cat.

The spotted black and golden molly was certainly surprised that Daffodilpool had wanted to take her out, but then again she didn’t know his true feelings about her.. Feelings that probably would have caused Goldensong to never speak or look at him again if she had found out. The young molly was quite naïve, always trying to see the best in others.. Perhaps it was her biggest flaw. Her green eyes watched her crush, it seemed like something was on his mind but quickly pushed it away. But she couldn’t deny the warmth in her heart when he admitted that he also missed her, perhaps Daffodilpool did really care about her in such a way that she cared about him?
“It will always be you, in the end.” Goldensong said, with a reassuring smile to the male as he confirmed that he cared deeply for her. The spotted molly couldn’t help but feel like she was on cloud nine, that the silver tom indeed wanted to be with her too. Her mouth parted slightly in surprise when seeing the beautiful flowers in view and looked over at the male “Oh Daffodilpool, they’re so beautiful.” She whispered softly, pressing her side against him and letting out a loud purr before the pair made their way towards the flowers. She couldn’t help but become curious as to how the male got these flowers here in the first place, however it was such a treat to see such beautiful flowers.. And Daffodilpool did this all for her.
Watching the flowers from afar, her golden ears flicked slightly at the mention of her friend hanging out with kittypets. What was he doing hanging out with house cats when he could be performing his clan duties? How close was Daffodilpool close with this molly? “I didn’t know that you were friends with Kittypets, how long has that been going on for?” She couldn’t help but question, it was an innocent question before looking towards him “I’m just asking cause I don’t want you getting in trouble, I don’t want cats questioning your loyalty.” She muttered, knowing that the male could have quite the temper whenever Goldensong made one wrong move. Looking at the tom for a moment, the molly went closer to the snow roses to lean down and observe them closely.
