Dante
Rogue Tom
The black smoky tabby flicked his ears almost uneasily as he padded into the Skyclan camp, Laurelpaw following behind him. He looked back at her, and lowered his voice to speak. His ears flicked around with every small sound, and the rogue was aware of eyes turning to fix on him as cats stirred from their dens. He was definitely a sight, from his tabby tail tied with a bandana, to his sleek fur that looked more like a kittypet's than a clan cat's.
"Where is he then...?" He whispered, clearly referring to Firestar. Not seeing the tom almost immediately made him impatient- "Are you sure this is the right place? There's an awful lot of cats here..." It made his skin crawl, in all honesty. The many pairs of eyes boring into him, the pelts beginning to bristle at the sight of the stranger in their territory. But Dante made himself as inconspicuous as possible, making a conscious effort to keep up his confident demeanour, puffing out his chest and keeping his head high.
What did he have to be ashamed of? He had brought a pretty she-cat back to her home! And yet, why did his stomach feel like it was tied in knots?
Dante
Rogue tom
"...Yeah, sure...!" Dante glanced at Laurelpaw, the black tabby sitting down with a stifled yawn. Once Laurelpaw and Firestar had disappeared inside the leader's den, he felt...awkward. Glancing around the camp, he quickly disappeared into his thoughts. Whilst at first he had been planning to simply move on once he took Laurelpaw home, now Dante was beginning to have second thoughts. If he just left now, where would he go? He couldn't go back to the twolegplace.
This clan seemed... nice, he supposed. It would be weird. Hard to get used to, but he was sure that Laurelpaw could make him like it. Dante was sure that he wanted to be close to his friend, even if it meant not being in the clan. Commitment to a clan had seemed scary to him on the way, but now he was here, it was a serious consideration in his mind.
Hearing the ginger toms voice speak out she turned her gaze over towards her new friends. "Just sit here I'll be back" She whispered softly before scoffing towards the tom voice. Clearly if there were ill intention from the rouge cat he'd have done something awhile ago. Pushing into the den before taking a seat in the middle her green hues piercing into the larger feline a frown dusting her face. "I'd have you know if it weren't for him I'd never would have found my way home." She coldly stated her tail twitching slightly.
Last thing she wanted to hear was some form of slander towards the brown tom, yeah they may have had a detour as they had to deal with his brother and his dumb little control he had on his group. In return Dante had agreed to take her home, perhaps see if he could show his worth and stay. Which admittedly the tan molly was gunning for, she had grown a liking towards him and would hate to part way.
Letting out a soft sigh her gaze dropped to the floor her ears flattening agaisnt her skull. "I mean what I said about him... Ceruleansky had asked me to go out by the border kind of close to where the water goes down. I don't remember what herb it was but normally I'd have complained and tried to get out of it because walking that far out really hurt my paw..but there wass just something about that day where I just really didn't want to go like it was wrong to do so or something. I'm not sure how to describe it but it was there... She still made me go chalking it up as me just wanting to be lazy which is fair I can't blame her so I went." She had started off, trailing a bit as she tried to keep her emotions in check not wanting to cry or anything like that. There was a part of Laurelpaw in which she'd felt she'd never find her way home. To never see her family and friends ever again it was all very real.
Taking a deep breath she continued, " I had gone out there and hadn't realized there were some twolegs and their kits out there, why they were there I wasn't sure. I didn't see them until they had spotted me and I tried to run away and hide but with my luck I had tripped and fell and they had scooped me up and I tried so hard to get out of their grasp but they just had this tight hold I thought I was going to suffocate. Next thing I knew I was locked up in this weird box and they wouldn't let me out unless they were home. I continued to try and get out but each time I was forced back and I seriously thought I was stuck there." She mumbled quietly not yet realizing how much she really had to say about her time away.
"One day they were dumb enough to not make sure they secured the box thing and I had managed to slip out barely and hid until they came out. The moment there was an out to the outside world I took it and managed to get away from their nest and outside the fenced area... I had spent I don't know so many moons trying to find my way out of the neighborhood or whatever Dante called it. It all looked the same to me and it felt like I was just going in circles until Dante came to me I guess I was causing commotions with all the kittypets, not sure why seeing as I wasn't bothering anyone. Anyways he needed help with something, I helped and in return he showed me the way home. If he hadn't done that I'd probably be stuck still looking..." She finished off as her green hues shifted up to the ginger tom, tears started to fill the corner of her eyes as she frowned a little.
"I get it's not okay to bring anyone home but please be nice to him? Is there anyway he could stay? Prove his worth? He's very good at training and hunting and he hasn't went back on his word since I've been with him.. Please Firestar?" She begged softly as her stomach turned slightly as she shuffled her paw. She'd never imagine herself begging towards anyone ever but here she was doing just that. "You can even talk to him see what you feel for him!" She urged slightly.
Firestar |The Courageous Lion of Skyclan|
‘Finally a moment to sit down and relax’ Firestar could not help but think as he shifts his large form within his nest, trying to find a more comfortable position. Auroraskies was busy in the nursery with their third litter, it was crazy to think that his soulmate and himself have already had three litters of kits—his family was certainly growing. Closing his bi-colored eyes briefly, enjoying in the moment of silence as he was mentally worn out from having meeting with his patrols and deputy, having to tighten security with the Ripper roaming about. Furrowing his brows as he notices that it was almost too silent within his clan, the stillness is what caused the large fiery Maine Coon to raise his head from laying on his paws. His gaze fixated on the entrance of his den as he could sense someone approaching his den. Sighing to himself as he rises from his laying position, it would seem that a leader’s job is never done. His suspicion confirmed as he hears his name being called from a voice he could not recognize.
Tensing up slightly as he makes his way to the entrance, his guard instantly up as he could hear the hushed whispers swarming around his camp, telling him that he would certainly be in for a surprise. Surprised he was when his gaze lands on the form of someone many had perceived as dead. Laurelpaw, she was taller and older, but it was certainly the once medicine cat apprentice. Pausing as he studies her for a brief moment, wondering for a split second if she was truly before him, looking as if she had not been missing for moons. “Laurelpaw, where have you been?” He demands with concern tinting his words, after taking note that the young molly was not in any distress, he notices the rogue behind her. His features steeling as he turns back to Laurelpaw once more, “And why have you allowed a rogue into our camp? Even with you having been missing for a couple of moons, you should know better than to allow a stranger into Skyclan” he reprimands, during this harsh time, he could trust no one outside of his clan. Especially those who scream wanna be kittypet. Firestar did not care if he was seeming harsh, he would not put his clan into harms way with having an unknown guest in his camp.
“Let’s speak in my den. The rogue remains there, Bayleaf! Watch him!” Firestar orders as he gives Dante one last glance before beckoning Laurelpaw in. She had a lot of explaining to do as well as did he—knowing that the young molly had yet to know that her parents, Littledove and Tigersnap had passed away a moon or so after her disappearance.
"Touché." Dante couldn't help but twitch his whiskers in amusement at her frankly true comment- the clans were a lot more civilised than the cobbled together gang his brother ran. Sending Blade running and begging for forgiveness had been more than satisfying. But more importantly, suffering cats had been freed to go on as they wished. He was happy with the choice of leaving Monkey in charge. She may be a former kittypet, but her leadership skills and the way she had held the struggling members of the gang together were undeniable.
He had full confidence that Monkey would protect her gang, and do her best to undo Blade's moons of violence. Their parting had been emotional, but he knew it was the right choice to go with Laurelpaw.
He padded after her as she approached Firestar's den, and snorted at her assessment of her leader. He sounded a bit like his own father. He had paws in every part of the twolegplace and beyond.
"Hey, be careful saying things like that... you don't wanna get put away for treason." He laughed a little as he nudged her, the grin on his face only growing as he was certain he saw some cats fixing him with an appalled stare. Maybe he shouldn't have said it so loud.
It had been another moon before the duo had finally finished up with the toms brother and then finding their way out of the twolegs neighborhood. At first the molly was nervous they'd never find their way, her ability to sleep growing less and less as her nerves and simply missing home clawed the pits of her stomach. Laurelpaw had missed her parents and her sisters and brothers and close friends she had made while there. Unaware with the fact that around the same time she had gone missing her parents had as well.
To say she wasn't in for a rude awakening was an understatement as even her former mentor had also gone missing as well. "Of course there's a lot of cats dummy, what do you think a clan is? An actual good one is more put together compared to whatever your brother had going for him. If he had gone up against any of the clans he'd be squished so much quicker then what we managed. " She said rather bluntly not caring if what she said was rude.
Pushing ahead of the tom she flicked his chest gentely, she could tell he was feeling the nerves, she was too despite her rather deadpanned expression she wore. "Just take a deep breath, he's either in his den or most likely in the nursery, I swear him and his mate were always having kits." She whispered softly to him.
Making a beeline towards the leaders den, making sure to keep an eye towards the rouge the molly stood before motioning for the tom to pause. "We have to call to see if he's in there it's rude to barge in."She whispered to him, she did what she could to avoid the many stares she was getting.
"Firestar are you home?" She called out, slightly poking her head in the entrance of his den.
