The pale morning sun bore down on the clans below, large fluffy clouds speckled across the sky the snow that kissed the ground was a mere few days old. The lonesome queen watched her kits play about in the snow in front of the nursery. It had been a few moons since most of her litter unfortunately passed away a few days after birth. Being left with one and adopting another she found left starved in the clans territory on one of her many walks she took to keep her preoccupied from the looming depression that came from her lost.
To make matters worse her mate, the fella she thought she'd spend the rest of her life with ran off with another clanmate denouncing her as his mate and the child she bore. Blue hues shifting between the kits as she kept a close eye on them "Pumpkinkit please be careful with your sister, she's a lot smaller then you are!" She called out her ear flickering as she slightly stood up in her sitting position. The small orange and red molly let out a soft squeak and quickly got off her sister "Sorry mama!" they called back, sending a tail flick their way.
As the days wane on, Teablossom was able to work past the negative feelings. The days she wanted to be in complete and udder solitude coming very far in between one another. But to say she was completely over it would be an understatement. She just knew she had to be strong and be the best she could be for the kids she did have. Not wanting to come off as neglectful or that she wasn't glad to at least have some of the kits survive despite who the father may be.
"About five more minutes before we go back inside the nursery for a nap! You guys need to warm up before you get sick!" She cooed out softly.
Haysneeze |The Silent Judge of Thunderclan|
The awkward atmosphere was almost suffocating to Haysneeze as the once close friends now stand before one another as strangers. He hated how he had left her when she needed him most, his emotions had gotten the best of him. Hay could not mindlessly stand there and watch his best friend and crush fall for the wrong guy. He had tried to warn Teablossom, give her advice without seeming biased but his words tended to fall on deaf ears. Now here she stood alone raising two younglings who seemed to not value listening to their mother. Snapping out of his thoughts briefly as her soft delicate voice breaks the thick silence between them.
Biting his lower lip as he takes in her words, following her gaze to watch the two older kits continue to wrestle without a care in the world. Chuckling softly under his breath, “You certainly would think they would behave better before their apprentice ceremony” he agrees, though he was not sure if she wanted him to. His olive green eyes widening in sudden surprise as she calls Pumpkinkit and Spottedkit over, scolding them and telling them to apologize to him. Blinking in stupor as Pumpkin huffs out an apology while Spotted quickly chimes in after. Nodding stiffly at their apology, smiling lightly at them in appreciation before watching them run off as soon as Teablossom granted them to.
Shuffling slightly on his paws, trying to think of what he should do next. Noticing that Teablossom could barely look over in his direction, and most certainly would not look in his eyes. Refraining from scoffing in mild annoyance as she pretends nothing was wrong, calling him dear like from friendly stranger. No he could not allow for them to drift even further apart. “I am sorry” Haysneeze begins, finally catching Tea’s attention. “I hate how things ended between us…I just want to say is that I miss you. I miss my best friend” he admits, his ears pinning tightly against his skull. Embarrassed for having blurted out his heart. Though, not his full heart, having kept part of it guarded as he was not sure if he could survive falling deeply for her a second time.
