Snow had dusted the ground once more, sending shivers down the spines of those who weren't graced with long fur. The snow hadn't been as harsh as the year prior, or so it seemed the start of the winter season. It had been a few moons since the young molly had departed the clans feeling the need to reconnect with her mentor out in the moonlight valley tribe. It was hard for her to make that decision, having friends and those who she truly cared and loved for but at the time it just felt right. What she was planning on to do with her life since she made her short departure from the medicine cat role. It had all came so fast and to say it didn't leave her scarred was an understatement. The day she left was hard for her and she had nearly didn't leave sad to go out alone but it was something that needed to be done. Moons had came and gone, finally meeting her mentor and the peers she then associated to, to finally meeting her father and siblings. Throughout her short period time in Skyclan she had known that she wasn't originally from Skyclan but had always thought she was at least from one of the other four clans so when her foster mom told her that they really just found her on the edge of the borders when she was a young kitten and who had left her had appeared to be a loner of some sort. The news from that only added to the list of things that had seemed to go wrong for her which had made her finally decided on rediscovering herself once more. When things seemed to mellow out for her and the new information being given to her she felt so full of joy and was slowly finally feeling happy with herself. Thats when the dreams and the strong feelings to go back to the clans started to occur, each day and night coming and going it was just the strongest feelings ever. So when the day had come for her to leave her new home once more she had sadly departed and made her trip back to the clans. At first she thought she'd go back to Skyclan so when she had gotten rather close she made the realization that it was Thunderclan that she needed to go too. Rather hesitate to go at first she took a deep before plunging into the trees of thunderclan meeting up with a random patrol which she need requested to speak with the leader. After what felt like forever she found herself before Hawkstar, dipping her head in respect the molly slowly looked up at him, "hello there, I'm not here to cause any issues, I came from Skyclan many moons ago I was the medicine cat apprentice at the time and was wondering if there was a possibility I could join Thunderclan....?" She asked softly her heart pounding loudly against her chest.

Greenleaf is in full flush. Temperatures reach nearly unbearable hights. Long-furred cats should stray from the sun.

“I know.” Ospreyshadow meowed, padding away from the questioning looks and ears they were beginning to attract. He motioned with his longer feathery tail for her to join him, as they walked beside the imposing thorn barrier surrounding the inner camp.
“Firestar reported it at a gathering, he only said you had chosen to live outside the Clans. I tried asking around, but no SkyClan cats would say anything more about your leaving. I know he also reported a death that moon but….those things aren’t related…” He fixed her with a penetrating stare, trailing off when he realized she was not about to interrupt him with words of denial.
“Are they?”
Hawkstar listened to Sablefire’s tail of woe with patience, as understanding lit in his amber eyes.
“I see…” For a moment he was disarmed, the depth of her troubles had taken him by surprise. Death dealt from her at such a young age, and by accident as well. He felt a kindred spirit in her. The memories of his youthful indiscretions would never fade.
“Firestar is a fair tom, whatever else can be said of him.” He grunted begrudgingly. “I do not believe you’d be held on trial if you wished to return home. But I understand the desire for a fresh start. ThunderClan is a place for loyal hearts, no matter where they’d beat in the past. You are welcome among my ranks, provided you show us that loyalty. And keep out of the healer’s den– no offense, but we’ve two skilled healers and have no need of a third.” He said with a shrug, and got to his feet.
“If you’ll follow me, I’ll announce your joining to the Clan. And I’ll assign a Warrior to help you adjust to our ways. They aren’t that different, but we can’t have you getting lost in our woods on your first day.” He winked as he exited his den and into the sunlight.
When he reached his perch on the ancient oak, he raised the call for all to join below. He differed from other Leaders in that he allowed kits to join, if their parents so wished. Hawkstar wasn’t a fan of the emphasis placed upon the ability to catch prey.
“This is Sablefire.” He indicated her with a nod. “Some of you may remember her as Opalpaw, SkyClan’s apprentice healer. But she comes to us under a new name, for a new start in life. I trust that you all will provide her this.” The hard look he gave the crowd seemed to imply ‘or else’.
With the main meat of the meeting done with, Hawkstar bid all back to their duties as he leapt back down to ground level.
“Alright Sablefire, I think–” But he was interrupted by Ospreyshadow who darted forward against the flow of the crowd. His eyes were bright, face alight in a smile rarely seen of him.
“Opal- er, Sablefire! It’s you! When I heard you’d left I worried so much, I wondered what had happened. But it’s good to see you again, why ThunderClan though? Did you know I was here?”
Hawkstar merely chuckled, well used to his grandson’s forward bluntness that crashed through conversations like a herd of sheep.
“It seems you two have some catching up to do. I’ll leave you to it, Ospreyshadow can be your guide. See me if you have any questions or if any cat is giving you a hard time.” He meowed, padding away to leave the two youths to talk.
Hawkstar listened to the young she-cat’s tale of woe. SkyClan, yes! He could recall more clearly a young nervous cat amongst the cluster of Medicine Cats at gatherings. Not that he usually paid them much mind, it was hardly uncommon for healer apprentices to come and go as youths tried on the mantle and found it to be an ill fit. Coldpaw had even shown an interest, when he was much younger.
“Be that as it may, why ThunderClan? There are four other Clans for you to choose from. Do you seek something specific among us?” He asked, his amber eyes narrowed inquisitively.
He intended no harm, but thought that the whole affair was a tad fishy, as some lesser RiverClanner might put it.
“You’re awfully quick to denounce the Clan you pledged to heal in the past.”
Hawkstar glanced up from his meal as the visitor he had been informed of entered his abode. He pushed the finished remains to the side, and sat up with a small shake of his tousled pelt. He knew he was not exactly the picture of a dignified leader, but it was worth a cursory attempt at decorum.
He scrutinized the young she-cat before him with quizzical amber eyes.
“Right, I thought you looked familiar. What was your name again…? His brow wrinkled.
“Anyways, why come here? Your old home was SkyClan, was it not? What do you seek in ThunderClan?”
