LITTLEWOODS
It was a dry day, perfect for collecting herbs and preparing them for storage. Littlewoods had already done the hard part, picking a number of herbs and bringing them all back to camp. It would be a good lesson for Skipperpaw, she would have to learn how to manage the medicine den, and it was arguably just as important as being able to tell each herb from each other. To be able to know where all of your cures were in a crisis was a skill Littlewoods had learned fairly on the fly. Being thrust into solo medicine cat work far younger than he had expected, he'd had to take his mentor's advice and apply it as fast as possible. He didn't want Skipperpaw to be left in the same situation if she got put in his position.
Seeing his apprentice padding back from where he had sent her to check on the nursery, he poked his head out from the den. She was responsible enough he trusted her- he would go and check on every cat later as well, just while Skipperpaw was still a fairly new apprentice, but he trusted her abilities enough that anything particularly bad would be picked up.
"Skipperpaw!" He called, waving his tail to his apprentice. "How did things go? Everyone settled and okay? If so, come here and we can get started sorting these herbs."
