Context: Woolypaw has just had her medicine cat apprentice ceremony, having been appointed just as the weather has started to get chilly. It is the next morning, her first official day as Waspsight’s apprentice.
Woolypaw had slept so comfortably in Waspsight’s den, surrounded by the thick herbal musk that always seemed to envelope the small space. Being still so young, she was a bit nervous to sleep outside the nursery without the comfort of her mother, or even her rambunctious brothers. But as she slept there that night, she felt a calming sense that she was where she belonged. She knew that Starclan had guided every pawstep she’d ever taken to lead her to this point, and she was grateful.
She woke up as the morning sunrise peeked rays of light into the camp, hitting her face and making the young she-cat stir before opening her light blue eyes. Her gaze rested on a neat pile of dark green leaves as she waited for the fog to clear from her brain. She got quickly to her paws and searched the den for Waspsight, but could not see him anywhere. Her ears flicked towards the entrance of the den as she heard two familiar voices just outside. She let out a soft purr as she recognized Ravenstar and Waspsight, but she still lingered in the softness of her freshly made nest and took a moment to let the herbal scents linger on her palate. She snapped back into reality, though, when she realized that Waspsight was more than likely waiting for her to wake up. With a sudden sense of anxiety she rushed out of the den, stumbling slightly over her paws as she tripped towards her mentor and leader.
“Eep! I mean, ah! Morning, Waspsight, Ravenstar!”
Ravenstar
Shadowclan Leader
It was certainly an exciting day, he had remembered his first day as an apprentice, an unforgettable experience. Hollowflame had been a fantastic teacher to him, everything that he had learned was from the older Bengal. Waspsight was a fantastic feline, so Woolypaw would be in the most safest paws with the calico tom.
“I’ll follow your lead” Ravenstar grunted, deciding to stay back in order for Waspsight to be comfortable in showing his new apprentice around. His ears perked at the scent of Larkpaw entering his nose. Apparently one of his spirit guides was interested in Woolypaw’s first day as well
“I remember when I was an apprentice, I would throw stink bugs in the elders den.. I would also pain on the leaders’ den, they never caught me.” Larkpaw chuckled, a bright smile on his face. Ravenstar looked towards the brown tabby spirit and smiled slightly in amusement, shaking his head towards the spirit
