Letting out a soft hum as the massive tom lifted a paw to give it a quick lick and drew it over his ear, Cross’s dark blue gaze looked over at Milky and let out a small shrug “Most cats aren’t territorial here, it’s kinda no-cat land..” Cross began to explain the dynamic of the Outskirts. Taking a deep breath, he assumed that Milky didn’t understand anything that happened here which was a good and bad thing. Good because it was a fresh new start from wherever she came from. Bad because the molly could run into the wrong cat if she didn’t know which areas to avoid. Letting out a small sigh, he shook his head for a moment. “There aren’t laws here, just a bunch of cats just wandering around trying to find where they belong here in the universe.” The black and dark gray cat explained to the newcomer. Cross was being honest about that part.. Hell, even Cross didn’t know where he belonged in the universe but that was fine cause the tom was quite patient and was going with the flow. A half-grin escaped his lips and the twig in his mouth moved slightly as Cross lifted his paw to show the ladybug, a small laugh of amusement escaped him and the tom watched it fly off “Been wanting to find one of them before the season ended, they’re tough to find around the town.” He said, turning to her but noticed how she rested head on her paws and released a huff. The molly seemed distraught about something, he couldn’t really tell.
“You alright over there?” He questioned, arching an eyebrow. It wasn’t until she answered that she once belonged to Skyclan, and decided to leave the clan and start anew. His dark blue eyes narrowed slightly “As yes, those cult cats that live in the woods.” The Maine Coon said, as he thought about the clans. Bunch of weirdos if you ask him, it was strange that they lived by their own rules and were quite territorial about their spaces as they even fought each other for it. He turned to look at his large paws for a moment, as he was perhaps trying to think of the correct words to say “I can’t understand those weird groups and their rules, their ways are just so.. Different.” Cross explained his thoughts, but raised a paw in defense “No offense or anything, I know that was your home.” he said as the tom wasn’t trying to offend her. However, it seemed like Milky was lost as well. The black and dark grey tom listened carefully to her words and nodded in agreement to her “Listen, you’re not gonna find yourself right away. It takes time and some soul searching until you ultimately find your happiness.” Cross said, although he was young, he gave quite the words of wisdom when least expected. Otherwise he was mostly portrayed as the extremely relaxed cat that always had a small twig at the side of his mouth with attitude problems some of the time.. Not that he cared anyways on how other cats viewed him, they could go buzz off for all he cared.
“Quite a unique name if I say so myself.” Cross cheekily said, a lazy grin appearing on his face at her comment. Tilting his head slightly at the mention of her clan name “Milkynight..” He muttered before the dusty and cream molly decided to only go by ‘Milky.’. A half-grin appeared on his face before arising from his spot and stretching before beckoning towards the direction of the ground. “Come on Madame Milky, I’ll show you around here and show you some good spots to hunt.” He told her, his dark blue eyes shining in amusement. Milky was a very nice cat, Cross supposed he could show her around and help her find a place to settle for the night before making Milky could make a choice on where she wanted to head next.
Cross Loner Watching the Siamese carefully, his dark blue eyes suddenly lit up as the Maine Coon observed how she landed gracefully “Were you one of those circus cats?’” Cross questioned, a grin appearing on his lips as the twig in his mouth moves slightly with his grin. The black and dark grey Maine Coon had heard about a couple of circus cats that were within the Outskirts around the time that he arrived, was Milky one of those cats that balanced on a high rope about 100 feet off the ground? Suddenly moving towards her, the larger tom stuck out his front paw and straightened himself as if he was posing as well since that's what show cats did.. Only to trip slightly over his paws, and almost landed on the ground if he hadn’t caught himself in time. Letting out a playful huff, the loner flicked his tail “We’ll pretend that never happened.” Cross said, but a playful grin appeared on his lips when looking back at her. It wasn’t until the tom’s eyebrows furrowed slightly at Milky’s proposal, as it clearly seemed like she had nowhere to go but his den was also not too far away so she could rest for the night. A half-grin appeared on his face as the molly pressed herself against him and looked at her in amusement “Wow, Milky.. You gotta catch me dinner first before asking such a question like that.” He lightly teased, as he wasn’t quite sure where she was going with this conversation but he soon knew she didn’t mean it like that. “No worries, you’re a very nice gal with a good heart.. I'll make sure that you get all the help that you need” Cross said, as he clearly could see that she had no bad intentions and just wanted to start fresh with her life while needing a bit of help. “No one is expected to figure out their life straight away, you just need to go out there and find yourself.. Find your happiness and don’t look back.” Cross said, giving some words of wisdom as the tom was also figuring himself out. He enjoyed his life as a wanderer, going anywhere that he pleased and could interact with any cats that he wanted.
Watching her crouch down when spotting a vole, the tom carefully sat down to observe her. “Madame Milky, I’m eagerly awaiting to be impressed.” He said, a playful look appeared on his face. Watching the Siamese carefully move, it wasn’t until she suddenly dashed towards the prey and chased after it.. Only to lose it as it seemed to have hid somewhere. Letting out a mere shrug, the Maine Coon got up and padded towards her “We win some, we lose some.. Don’t beat yourself up over it.” He said, as Cross was simply fine with not having a vole for dinner. Looking towards the stream, he looked towards her and beckoned his head towards it “Ever learned how to fish? It’s pretty good, I promise.” He suggested, and seeing her reaction to it. Chuckling, Cross shook his head in amusement. “You should be able to learn how to catch all different kinds of prey, it’s good for survival.” He said before padding towards it and suddenly went towards the water and hopped in
“Come on Milky, let’s see what you can do with some fishing lessons before we head to my den for the night.”
Hearing her original name leave another muzzle for the first time in so long sent chills down her spine, she had been known as Milkynight for so long that hearing just ‘Milky’ tore slightly at her heart. Maybe she had missed her two legs more than she thought, but there was no turning back now, she didn't want to return to being locked away again. Milky had grown to love her freedom, she didn't want to go back to the clans either, so she guessed this was her only option for right now. The Siamese molly lifted herself to her paws, her eyes watching the tom cat leap down from the tree they rested on with ease.
Her paws hit the ground lightly, even through her clan times she never lost her show cat skill and grace. “Now Mister Cross I'm not much of a hunter to be honest, but if you’ll share a meal with me tonight and keep me company on my first night alone I promise to catch us a nice plump meal.” Her words were true, the molly was never a good hunter, her skills were best used for fighting but to be honest she didn't want to fight anytime soon and truthfully she didnt really want to spend her first night away from the other clans alone.. Her cream and dusty coat mingled with his momentarily as she pressed against him lightly in passing, “Thank you for showing me such kindness Cross. Im lucky I came across such a kind gentleman instead of some of the other loners i've met in the past.” Her gaze softened at him as she waited for him to lead the way.
Her frame dropped into a crouch, her tail end swaying as if she was merely a kitten stalking its mother tail, her wait shifting from paws to paws. “Just watch this, I’ll show you how clan cats do it.” Her words were wispy whispers, trying to keep her voice as silent as possible. Licking her lips she launched herself towards the small creature, she could practically taste her dinner already. Maybe it had been too long since she actually had to catch food for herself, she missed the thrill of the chase. Her paws thundering against the ground as she followed the vole, dodging the trees and bushes. Engrossed in her activity Milky threw herself at the vole just as it dug itself into a hole in a tree, her muzzle slamming into the tree trunk. “Whiskers!” Her words flying out in a growl at herself, her head hanging low as she trailed back to Cross, “Sorry, I guess it’s been awhile since I haven't actually had to hunt in a while.” A soft laugh followed her words trying to cover up her embarrassment as she rubbed her muzzle with one of her dusty paws.
