Coldcliff Windclan Warrior Light blue eyes were scanning the area of the moors, a small sigh escaped the dark grey-black and white tom before padding forward. The winter weather had been rough lately within Windclan territory, despite his name.. Coldcliff actually didn’t like the winter weather at all. Letting out a small grumble as the wind was causing the snow to hit his chest, the tom wished that spring would finally arrive. Blackfire was leading a patrol with a couple of others, and Coldcliff volunteered himself to check the border between Shadow-Wind. He hadn’t been there in a while, since he last encountered Newtsnout. It had been a couple of moons since him and the ginger tom met each other, engaging in a one night stand as mere strangers.. Although it was a bit tricky getting home, having to disguise his scent as he basically crossed the Shadowclan border from his mate Blueflower. Little did anyone know.. Coldcliff wasn’t attracted to Blueflower at all, he was more attracted to males more than anything. His family were well-respected warriors, Coldcliff was destined to pass down his family’s legacy and ensure that the next generation would help Windclan thrive.. But if he was being honest, Coldcliff didn’t want to live up to such expectations and would rather live the quiet and peaceful life of a normal warrior. Letting out a soft sigh when noticing that he was at the edge of the border. Scanning the area, Coldcliff inhaled the familiar scent of Shadowclan that was in front of him, and stopped for a moment at the familiar sight in front of him. Letting out a soft breath when seeing Newsnout looking back at him, the tom couldn’t deny that he felt his heart fluttering at the sight of the smaller tom. It was silent for a moment between the two, before the dark grey-black and white tom padded towards the edge of the Windclan border “Hey.” Coldcliff said softly, feeling slightly awkward as he remembered that he skipped out early on Newtsnout as they slept in the bush. Stars, he wasn’t sure if they even exchanged names before parting ways. Leaning on one side, the larger tom smiled gently at Newtsnout before looking down at his paws “I forgot to introduce myself when we met, my name is Coldcliff.” Coldcliff said, looking back at the ginger tom. Biting the inside of his cheek, the tom was curious of Newtsnout.. Mostly how he was. “How has everything been with you?” He questioned, looking back towards his side of the border. It appeared that none of his clanmates would be coming anytime soon, so it would give them time to talk freely with each other and catch up on lost time. - 58ffd9

Paws gently shuffled against the ground, feeling a little cold but with the protection of the bush he was already starting to warm up. Turning his chin in the direction of Coldcliff as the other tomcat was forcing his way into the bush. Surprising him when he felt a chest pressing against his, eyes widening slightly as he stepped back. Rump leaning against the small trunk of the bush as Coldcliff finally managed into the bush. Blinking slightly as the dark grey and black tom was gazing down at him with equal surprise before lightly pressing their foreheads together. Cheeks immediately flaming with the sudden affection, brows lifting and then furrowing in questioning. What was he thinking? Although he didn’t have to wonder for too long as he was quick to explain.
Clearing his throat slightly, smaller frame stepping back as he gave a slight smile. So because of their short time together, he was having a hard time looking at females the same? “Oh..?” He mumbled softly, biting the inside of his cheek as he shifted slightly to where he was sitting back a little bit to give Coldcliff the breathing room that he needed. Was he surprised to hear that Coldcliff had a female mate? No, honestly not really. He had a few relations with males that had female mates that were blissfully unaware. However, he felt his own ears beginning to droop down against his cranium. Listening to Coldcliff rant, he blinked in surprise to find that he had something in common. Their parents expected the both of them to be into females and start families of their own.
“I’m… sorry to hear that you feel like that.” He said softly, pressing his lips together before clearing his throat again and chuckling nervously. “Would it make you feel better knowing that I am in a similar situation?” He asked softly, green eyes lifting slightly to give a slight smile before noticing that Coldcliff was also smiling. “No, no. It’s fine.” He said hurriedly, the ginger fur along his spine starting to stand up before he blinked in surprise. This tom could possibly miss him? He was star struck, just gazing at Coldcliff, searching those blue eyes before he nodded softly. “I’ve.. been thinking about you lately.” He nodded softly, moving to where he was sitting a little closer to Coldcliff. “To be honest… I never actually imagined I would be having a conversation with you again.” He cleared his throat, praying he wasn’t being too awkward.

Coldcliff
Windclan Warrior
His ears perked up, cheeks heating up when looking at Newtsnout. Coldcliff had almost let out a sigh of relief when hearing the ginger tom agreed to spend time with him. The black and gray tom had felt nervous as he knew that his companion could had rejected him. A small smile appeared on his lips before beckoning towards the bushes “Lead the way” Coldcliff said, before following after Newtsnout. When both toms approached the big bush, the Windclan warrior looked behind him for a moment to keep an eye out for any wandering eyes to see if Windclan or Shadowclan cats were nearby.
Once seeing that the coast was clear, Coldcliff stepped carefully into the bush and felt his chest lightly pressing against Newsnout’s. The large tom felt his breath hitch for a moment as his light blue eyes looked into Newtsnout’s green eyes. All the tom wanted to do was bury his face into Newt’s neck, feel the warmth and affection that the other tom’s Aura gave off. However Coldcliff didn’t want to pressure him, never wanting to push the ginger tom into doing something that he never wanted to do. Instead Coldcliff leaned his forehead on Newtsnout’s, enjoying the silence between the two for a moment before speaking as he knew Newt was curious “I uh.. Ever since we shared that night, I feel like my views on females may have changed” Coldcliff admitted, shifting slightly to watch Newsnout’s expression
“I have a female mate in Windclan” He began explaining gently to him, but Coldcliff let out a frustrated sigh and shook his head “Ever since we were kits, our parents wanted us to be together as mates. Kept claiming ‘It will make our bloodlines strong’ whatever it means” The black and gray tom scoffed and rolled his eyes. The silence between the two was overbearing, Coldcliff hated it. Clearing his throat, the large tom shook his head “I never felt.. the attraction towards her, the feeling of your heart skipping a beat or the nerves of seeing someone like it’s the first time all over again..” He said, pondering to himself before his gaze looked down at Newtsnout for a moment before a small smile appeared on his face.
“Huh.. I’m sorry for suddenly throwing you my life story, just feeling slightly lost” Coldcliff said softly, as he knew that Newtsnout was also most likely going through his own problems at home. In honesty, Coldcliff was happy that Newtsnout was in front of him. The ginger tom was like a breath of fresh air. “I.. Missed you” Coldcliff admitted, as the tom desperately wanted to see Newtsnout.. He was confused about his feelings, but Coldcliff was wondering why his feelings for the tom in front of him was starting to run deeper than he noticed.

Why did he like that Coldcliff liked his name? Fur along his flank ruffled slightly in embarrassment as he looked down towards his paws, shuffling them in the grass and pine needles. Ears pinning back against his head as he smiled bashfully, golden amber eyes lifting to look at the tomcat. They both were feeling awkward but he found it adorable that Coldcliff wasn’t going to let him feel awkward alone. “Thanks..” He nodded, lifting his chin slightly and clearing his throat as he looked over his shoulder to make sure that a classmate wasn’t possibly trying to sneak up on him as he turned back towards the handsome Windclanner.
Cheeks immediately burned as Coldcliff apologized for running off after they had met, whiskers pulling back against his cheeks in surprise. “Oh.. Uh..” He laughed nervously, his tail tucking in towards his side. Honestly he hadn’t been able to stop thinking about it. “It’s okay.. It was a little shocking for sure.” He admitted, looking towards the tom and smiling hesitantly. Holy stars. Coldcliff remembered him from their brief meeting and was even gazing at him curiously. “Oh? How is that working out for you?” Newtsnout was genuinely curious to what Coldcliff meant. New perspective on life.. Just what did that mean?
He was instantly surprised with the other males request, lips parting slightly as he was reminded of the large bush that overlapped the border. “Ohh..” Newtsnout said softly, his brain glitching at the thought that this handsome male would want to spend more time with him. Those blue eyes were pleading him, causing him to blink out of his trance and nod. “Yeah, no that’s fine. Come on.” Pushing away from the tree he had been leaning against, he began to pad towards the bush, noticing that Coldcliff was keeping pace with him. Oh, stars. The black and grey tom was much taller and broader, which he found to be attractive. Without hesitation, his shorter and slimmer figure slipped through the tight opening of the branches, grunting as he shook out his pelt.
Quickly moving out of the way for Coldcliff to enter, he most certainly felt safer from getting caught as he looked towards the other tom. Cheeks flushing at the smile the other tomcat gave him, clearing his throat and looking away awkwardly. “It’s um.. certainly warmer in here.” He said, wincing at his choice of words.

Coldcliff Windclan Warrior It felt like a dream seeing Newtsnout again, his heart began beating faster as he looked at the tom. Stars, Coldcliff had missed Newtsnout so much that it hurt. He couldn’t forget the tom, the many dreams that he had of the ginger tom in front of him. His mouth parted slightly when hearing Newtsnout’s name and a small smile appeared on his lips “Newtsnout.. I like it.” The large Windclan tom dipped his head in greetings towards him. Although Coldcliff felt his cheeks heating up at Newtsnout’s compliment, his name sounded handsome? “Thank you.. I like your name as well, Newts are quite interesting creatures.” The gray and black tom said, cringing at his own words. Why couldn’t he be smooth? Usually he was very relaxed and calm around others.. But with Newt? It was different. What would Blueflower think? “I uh.. I’m sorry that I ran out like that when we first met, It was quite a new experience.” Coldcliff admitted to the ginger tom, confessing that he had never been with another male before. He wondered if Newtsnout had thought about him as well or if he was a passing thought.. Did the other tom have a mate? There were so many questions that the gray and black warrior had, but he knew it would take the whole day as he wanted to know about Newt. Why was he so fascinated with the other tom? He didn’t want Newtsnout regretted their one night of passion, not one bit. A bashful smile appeared on the tom’s face and sat down for a moment. “I’ve been good.. Just been trying to look at things in a new Perspective of life” The young warrior said nonchalantly, a small smile appearing on his lips when looking down at the other tom
Stars, He missed Newtsnout so much.
“..Do you wanna go towards the bush and just hang out?” Coldcliff asked, beckoning his head towards the direction of a big bush that was between Shadowclan and Windclan territory. It was private for them to sit and chat without any of their clan mates to spot them. If the tom was being honest, he wanted to just be in the ginger tom’s company for a little longer. His blue eyes looking towards the Shadowclan Warrior with a pleading look “Please.. Then if you want, I won’t come back here again” He promised, not knowing Newtsnout’s feelings on him. But if the ginger tom didn’t want to see him after this, then Coldcliff would have to accept it.

Moons had passed since his one night stand with a random WindClan tom, but his mind kept trailing towards the male. Especially with his mother pushing him to court a molly, she was pretty he supposed but she really wasn’t his type. Part of him wanted to go the very same spot and just escape from his mother’s constant pushing and such high expectations. She didn’t do this with Ashstripe. The breeze one this particular evening brought a chill along with it, making his nose sting while he kept sniffling. Annoyed that he had to lower his head and rub his nose against his forearm, clearing his throat as he now fought the urge to sneeze. Shaking out his short furred ginger pelt, a small shiver rushed down his spine for a moment as he brushed his side up against pine tree.
He was so close to the WindClan border and yet he also felt so far away, closing his eyes and leaning the side of his head against the tree. How could he possibly talk his way out of courting Dandeliontooth? Ears twitched are the sound of footsteps, eyes opening instantly as he looked towards the WindClan border, his blood suddenly going cold. Oh good stars.. there he was. Coldcliff was gazing at him as well; while part of him was hoping that this other tomcat had no idea who he was... another part of him wished for that Tom to recognize him. Heart in his throat, he took a hesitant step back when Coldcliff began to pad closer to the border. He was better looking than he had remembered from that night, his cheeks flaming slightly as he was addressed. “Hi..” He said bashfully, chewing on his tongue as he looked back at Coldcliff.
Ears slowly lowered back against his head as he was reminded of their brief time together, smiling bashfully as it seemed that Coldcliff remembered exactly who he was. “Oh... uh.. Coldcliff. That name suits you.” He smiles but when blubbered. “Not that your cold or anything. It’s just... it’s a handsome name so I thought.” His ears were burning and the fur on his flank sticking up as he took a deep breath. “I’m Newtsnout.” He decided to say, looking up from his paws. Although the question threw him for a loop, lips parting to give the basic answer but then he hesitated, brows furrowing slightly. “I’ve had better days to be honest.” He decided to say instead, pressing his lips together in frustration as he slowly lowered to sit on his rump; his slender side leaning into the tree for support as he watched Coldcliff with curious ambers. “How’re you?”
