Ravenclaw
&
Aspenwood
A pair of golden eyes were narrowed, the sound of grass crunching softly under massive paws. Although Ravenclaw and Aspenwood had ended the heated debate with a sour note.. Something in Ravenclaw’s body had led him to the Moonpool, it was like something was screaming in his mind to go over there.
Looking up, his golden eyes were reflecting against the star light.. Was Mercuryrose watching over him? Was the former leader giving him some kind of sign? His mother was always vague with her actions and words, it was always so unclear to him. A small sigh escaped his nostrils, padding towards the direction of the moonpool. Stepping down carefully on the slippery rocks, Ravenclaw knew that there would be an answer for Shadowclan’s leader tonight.
“Pops, give me a sign.” Aspenwood said quietly, looking at the reflection of himself within the water. Was Juncostar watching over him? Was the former Shadowclan leader proud of him? The dark gray tabby knew his actions were questionable at times, but overall Aspenwood wanted what was best for his clan.. But at times he felt lonely. With no siblings, it was just Mellowfrost and his cousins who were his only family left.. Of course, Ravenclaw and his siblings were his cousins too.. Mercuryrose took him in, became an aunt towards him.. So losing the former leader within the span of losing his father in 24 hours.. It felt like Aspenwood had lost a part of himself, but he knew Ravenclaw had felt the same way.. He lost his mother and uncle.
Aspenwood had been lost in thought when his orange eyes looked over to see Ravenclaw making his way down towards the Moonpool. Sucking his teeth, the younger tabby shook his head slightly “You’ve always ruined everything, you can’t let me have this one thing.. To let me follow in my father’s footsteps.” Aspenwood said, Ravenclaw narrowing his eyes “I was chosen as leader, I’ll be following my mother’s footsteps.”
Ravenclaw said, making his way towards Aspenwood. Both toms were staring each other down. It wasn’t until Aspenwood had began shoving Ravenclaw back, his orange eyes full of anger “You don’t deserve that spot, I do.” Aspenwood said, to which Ravencllaw looked at the other tom before suddenly shoving him back “You don’t deserve shit, I was chosen. End of story.” Ravenclaw said, as the toms began to lock up with each other as they were trying to take the other down. The built up tension and frustration had finally taken it’s toll.
Both of them were struggling with each other until Aspenwood had tripped over Ravenclaw’s leg, and he sunk his teeth into Ravenclaw’s shoulder. Aspenwood had slipped into the pool, dragging the black tom with him.
The toms had failed to notice Waspsight arriving, as both of them slipped into the water. The Moonpool had glowed the moment that both toms hit the water.
