Daypaw
Windclan Apprentice
His ember eyes watched her slightly, Daypaw felt his cheeks heating up a bit at her comment. Shaking his head, his large paw went to rub the back of his head awkwardly. “Um no, a lovely dame like you is capable of looking after herself.” The ginger tom muttered but opened his mouth slightly at his words, that certainly came out a way that she didn’t expect as he didn’t expect it as well. The Abyssinian molly could certainly take care of herself, as she had stunned Daypaw when tackling him. The Windclan tom watched her facial expression for a moment before coughing awkwardly and nodding along to her words, as he certainly wasn’t going to say anything further to embarrass himself in front of the pretty molly. Great, what a start to his apprenticeship.. The ginger tom knew that his brother was better with communicating than him, but now that they weren’t spending every moment together, Daypaw needed to learn how to not be completely awkward on his own.
Great Starclan! It seemed like he was appearing to be rude once more when looking back at his territory as Beakpaw assumed that he wanted to leave “I’m sorry, didn’t mean to make you assume that, was just thinking for a moment.” Daypaw said, as he had debated on finding the squirrel for her.. But it was probably long gone into the moors, plus he would probably get an earful from his father if the Windclan deputy learned that his son purposely chased a piece of prey back to an enemy clan for a fellow apprentice. His posture straightened as a grin appeared on his face, however his muscles felt slightly sore from that tackle “I know, I’m gonna have to get Quiethawk to check to see if I’m capable of doing my duties.. I don’t think that I’ll be the same ever again.” Daypaw lightly teased, as he didn’t seem to mind being bested by her. It was a learning experience, and it was an accident between the pretty molly and him so he didn’t take it personally.
“It’s been a good start! My mentor and I were just exploring the moors for a bit, she wanted to show me the best places to hunt along with finding the best spots to pick moss for our nests.” Daypaw grinned, as he had listened to every word that Speckledcloud had said as Daypaw wanted to be the best warrior that he could be for Windclan. The apprentice wanted to make his family proud of him, as his parents were extremely hard workers themselves “Although, it’s quite an adjustment from living in the nursery to the apprentice’s den.. But in a good way, I just need to find a new place for my collection of things.” Daypaw said with a bashful smile on his face, as he was known to be quite a collector of items that he found within Windclan camp as a kit. The ginger tom had collected small items from pebbles, to weird looking leaves. Once his father brought a couple of shells from Riverclan territory after asking a Riverclan apprentice to toss some at the Windclan border so he could bring them home to Daypaw and Pinepaw. Looking towards her, a polite smile appeared on his face “How have you been liking training? You’ve been an apprentice for long?” He questioned her, giving her his full attention.
A snort of amusement escaped him, as his ember eyes shined in delight. Beakpaw was certainly quite the personality, he liked that a lot. The molly was certainly different from other she-cats that were around their age, as the closest interactions he had from she-cats were Desertstar’s daughters who were boy-crazy like Cactuskit or extremely shy and fragile like Desertkit. “I’ll make sure if I find that squirrel that it’ll know you send your regards.” The ginger tom said as he beckoned his head towards the direction of the Windclan territory. Arching his eyebrow, he thought for a moment about his answer before nodding in agreement “It’s quite peaceful to sleep under the stars, less noise travel of the sound of snoring from my peers.” He explained, as Daypaw probably would have gone crazy with Lightpaw’s snoring if they were in the den. The silver tabby snored loudly which annoyed him. Tilting his head slightly towards her, the tom watched her for a moment “Why don’t you try it sometime? Sleep under the stars one night, I promise it’ll be worth it.” Daypaw sincerely said towards her, as he usually was very open-minded to trying new things.. Hence his overwhelming collection.
“Oh?” Daypaw said, his mouth parted slightly as he didn’t expect such a blunt question from Beakpaw. The tip of his ears were warm for a moment as he looked at her “I hope that’s not a bad thing, being too much of a gentleman?” He chuckled awkwardly but shook his head in amusement. His parents had taught him manners, mostly as he and his brother were more around their mother since their father was attending to his deputy duties. Tinyflame was quite a protective mother, as she hadn’t even let them leave the nursery when the black liquid was around the territory. Plus growing up closely with Desertstar’s children taught him to be respectful as they were always quite curious about Pinepaw and Daypaw’s antics “I was taught to treat others on how I would like to be treated, as kindness goes a long way.. My mother explained that we don’t know others’ stories, so it’s best to try and be nice until there’s a reason not to.” The ginger tom explained to her, telling her about how he grew up. His parents did tell him that it was okay to express himself, as sometimes showed that he was the child of Tinyflame and Hailgaze by showing off the fire or ice personality that both of his parents had. Listening to her name, he grinned “Beakpaw.. I like the name.” He said before lowering his head to dip his head in greetings to her, but also to prevent her from seeing the blush on his face “Nice to meet you Beak, you’re quite an adorable gal yourself.” He returned the playful wink towards her, his ember eyes shining.
Daypaw
Windclan Apprentice
The two tone ginger tom smiled brightly at her, his tail waving back in happiness. He generally enjoyed the molly’s company, if he was being honest the tom had a little crush on Beakpaw as well. The Thunderclan molly was lovely to be around with, and Daypaw couldn’t help but smile when looking at her. He knew it was wrong to have these feelings for a cat of the opposite clan, it was breaking the warrior code! Maybe this crush would go away within time, and the two would become best friends.. That was possible right? Two cats from opposite clans being best friends without the possibility of one of them being attracted to the other. Snapping out of his thoughts, Daypaw looked towards Beakpaw with a soft smile on his face as the large ginger tom beckoned her head towards some flowers that were nearby her “Rub yourself in those real quick, hold up.” He suddenly said, going towards some flowers as well and rubbing himself against him. He watched as Beakpaw did the same thing, with a couple of beautiful lilacs nearby before the two cats finished and went back towards each other. “My mentor told me about some neutral territory that isn’t owned by any of the clan, we should hang there!” Daypaw said cheerfully, his bi-colored ember eyes lit up. It was certainly a risk that he was taking, sneaking off with her. But it would be well worth it in the end, his new best friend was worth it. Padding towards the end of the Windclan and Thunderclan borders, he looked down nervously until his ginger paw stepped into the neutral territory of the woods. Looking back, he saw the pretty molly following behind and Daypaw grinned brightly. Waiting until she caught up with him, he led her towards the stream that was nearby. He wanted to make sure that their first hang-out was memorable for Beakpaw, and that she would keep on seeing him whenever she wanted. Looking down at the stream, Daypaw found a shiny blue pebble and his eyes lit up. He dipped his paw carefully into the water until picking it up and scooping it out of the stream and placed it in front of Beakpaw “I usually collect things like these, whatever catches my eye.. But I would like for you to have it.” Daypaw said quietly, looking up at her with a smile. He never gave anyone a present before, just his parents and brother.. So it felt nice to give someone that he would cherish as a new friend a gift like this. Looking down carefully at the pebble, how perfectly rounded it was and the many tones of blue within it. The tom got up and went towards a bush to find a couple of leaves before finding the perfect one, and placed it near the pebble before nosing it on the leaf “There you go, wrapped nicely for someone amazing like you.” Daypaw said, his voice gentle. Carefully wrapping the pebble with the brightly green leaf, Daypaw picked it up so Beakpaw didn’t have to carry it around. After all, it was a gentleman-like manner that he adapted to by watching his father when growing up. “Come on.” The ginger tom said through the leaf, as he wasn’t sure where the two would be going.. But they would have fun within their little adventure together. Daypaw looked back, he knew that his mentor and brother would ask where he had gone.. But he thought about the perfect excuse, he simply got lost. Nudging his new best friend playfully, the two went deeper within the neutral territory to see what they could find.. But little did they know. It was the start of their love story. THIS ROLEPLAY IS COMPLETED
