"I bet you that I can climb higher than you!" The little apprentice sneered with a challenge- a sassy, over-confident smirk on her face as she clawed her way up the hunkering log. What she lacked in height, she definitely over-compensated for in personality. Climbing may not be often taught in WindClan, but that wasn't going to stop Tinypaw any time soon. Especially now, when it was just her and her best friend, Owlpaw. She knew that her mother and grandfather would frown on the fact that the two of them had left camp without adult supervision, but they could always apologize later... Right?
Besides, she didn't understand why her family was so overbearingly strict anyway, or why they were so much harder on her than they were her siblings. WindClan's new home was perfectly safe and it didn't have many threats to worry over- there was no reason why they couldn't be alone. Just because she was the runt of the litter, that didn't mean she needed protection! She could always apologize to Hailgaze and Airheart later. They'd be fine! And so would she.
As she climbed higher on the log, she peered her head over the top to the ground where her friend stood. "Well? Are you coming or not?"
