FORESTMASK
warrior
---------------------------------
The brown tabby had finally been assigned to his first patrol since his return to RiverClan. It might have only taken a few days, but every minute stuck in camp made him feel more like a prisoner than the warrior he was once more. He'd just had to remind himself, as he patiently waited to be called upon to serve, that integrating back into Clan life wouldn't be as easy as the twitch of a whisker.
It might have only been a hunting patrol, and he wasn't quite certain of how friendly Mothmask was, but he'd take what he could get.
"So where do you think prey would be running the best right now? I'll follow your lead since- uh, I'v been gone a while." His voice went from friendly to a bit embarrassed, marked by him looking away into the surrounding territory to try to find something interesting to study.

Mothmask silently glared at Forestmask after he spoke, tail flicking in annoyance, before looking ahead as if she were deciding. It hadn't been very long since the tom had returned to their clan, and although some of her clanmates were forgiving, Mothmask, for one, did not trust him whatsoever. She especially didn't like being stuck with him on his first patrol since he returned. Why couldn't he go with someone else? The brown tabby shook her shoulders and returned her gaze to Forestmask, the same look of disdain clear in her eyes.
"There's a stream up ahead," she started curtly, "I don't think there's been a patrol there today, so we might as well go." Without waiting for a response, Mothmask began walking towards the stream at a brisk pace. She desperately wanted to avoid having to speak to Forestmask all that much - who's to say what he's been up to, or what trouble he might cause.
At this thought, Mothmask suddenly slowed down, tilting her head at the tom. This could be my chance to find out. Raising a brow, the riverclanner looked Forestmask up and down, before asking,
"Why did you come back?"
