The soft moonlight seeped through the densely packed tree tops, providing minimal light to guide the mollies' paws. The buzzing of nocturnal forest life keeps Appleblossom company. A slight metallic taste coating her tongue from the constant chewing of her inner cheek. Appleblossom knew what she wanted and knew she was making the right choice , however the thought that she was leaving behind everything she ever knew still weighed heavily on her mind. To her surprise even her parents were supportive of her choice, the two knowing nothing will stand in the way of real love.
Normally Appleblossom kept a brisk pace when going to meet Airheart but things were different this time, she paused every now and again and just stood there craving the sight of her forest into her mind. She’d miss the restless forest, it always seemed no matter that time of day there was always boundless activity happening. She’d even miss the chaotic nature that every Thunderclanner seemed to have naturally. She knew the forest like the back of her paw, every step filled with confidence as if knowing the forest would allow her to trip over any of its interwinding roots.
Making the move to Windclan meant Appleblossom would have so much to learn, their territory was completely different from Thunderclans. Windclan even had different fighting styles and basic clan rules, not to mention she’d have to learn about her new clanmates as well. The thoughts suddenly become overwhelming to the molly, a slight panic settling in. Would she even be safe in Windclan? The two clans had been at each other's throat since Woflstars death, would she have to constantly be looking over her shoulder? She was also concerned that Airheart might be shunned by her clan for taking Appleblossom as a lover.
The thoughts continued to chew away at her until she saw Airheart waiting for her at the border. Like many of their midnight rendezvous Airheart arrived first, which was okay with Appleblossom as it gave her the chance to sit back and enjoy the sight of the beautiful cat wrapped in the illuminating blanket of moonlight, a sight that was truly breathtaking.
“Airheart” Calling out to the warrior, happily prancing towards her, stopping just short of the border. Even though the two had already been breaking a well known rule just by meeting like this, they still respected the invisible border between them, only reaching over to touch noses in greeting. Appleblossom was over it, she hated the wall between them. Anytime they were apart the peachy cream mollys body felt as if it was being torn apart, it burned so much she could barely handle it. She wanted it, she prayed Airheart was on the same page and wanted it just as much. Her paws moved before she had a chance to speak up, crashing into the Windclan warrior. The burning feeling instantly soothing once she was in Airhearts paws, a purr loud enough to wake the forest erupting from her.
