Auroraskies
Skyclan Queen
The black and golden molly quietly slipped out of the leader’s den, making her way down the twisted branches and into the camp clearing. Aurora’s violet-amber gaze scanned the area for a moment until spotting the familiar figure of Flarebeatle, a smile appeared on her face as she bounced towards the ginger molly. It had been unexpected when Flarebeatle had approached her and asked to go partake in an activity and get to know each other. Aurora and Flarebeatle had never interacted much, to her disappointment. Claypath and herself had a very good relationship with each other, as she truly cherished the reddish brown tom and adored him.. Milkynight and Fire did a very good job with him, he was such a sweetheart. But no matter what, whenever Flarebeatle and Claypath wanted to spend time with their younger siblings.. Aurora never hesitated and would always say yes. Aurora wanted her kits to love their older siblings, always wanting them to enjoy spending time with Firestar’s first litter like they enjoyed spending time with each other.
Aurora approached Flarebeatle with a soft smile and dipped her head “Thank you for joining me, it’s certainly been a while since I’ve last gone on some sort of hunting trip.. I’m almost ready to run out into the territory” The Maine Coon joked, her eyes lit up in amusement. Although some cats may assume that Aurora would have gotten overwhelmed after having two litters back to back, she was taking it quite well. Her and Firestar were starting to come up with a good system, and she wasn’t completely stuck at camp the whole day as one would most likely assume. No, Aurora would take her strolls with her mate and had a more social life in the night time with her friends. The molly embraced motherhood, showing that although there were temper tantrums and a couple of spit-up moments.. Aurora would always handle it elegantly. She got the go ahead from the other molly and the two of them began to leave camp and within the territory.
It was silent between them for a moment, as Aurora was trying to figure out what to say before something popped up “Thornpaw had shown me that move you taught him this morning” The black and golden molly chuckled, remembering the brown and white tabby showing a hind kick. Thornpaw looked like a baby goat at first but he was getting the hang of it, his younger siblings were easily impressed with such a high kick and were attempting it themselves until Aurora noticed that Ebonykit was about to kick Sterlingkit in the face by accident. Ah yes, her troublemakers. She absolutely adored them. Looking towards Flarebeatle with a smile, Aurora nodded “He really likes you, always running towards me in excitement and tells me everything that you two do” She said, her eyes shining in happiness. It was truly a sight to see how much Thornpaw adored his older sister.
Aurora looked forward for a moment, the snow falling and leaving such a beautiful scene in front of them. Clearing her throat, she looked towards the ginger molly “It really means a lot that you invited me out, thank you so much” Aurora said sincerely, as she hoped that the two could form a relationship. The black and golden molly was afraid of messing up, not wanting to do or say anything that would upset her step-daughter.

Skyclan Queen
A small smile appeared on her face when herself and the ginger molly were strolling through the forest. Flarebeetle and Firestar were both so blunt, she could see how they were related. It wasn’t until her violet-amber eyes gaze went towards her step-daughter and her eyebrows furrowed for a moment. What did Flarebeetle want to talk about? Nodding, she allowed the taller female to lead her until they sat at the edge of a pond. Wrapping her fluffy tail around her paws, enjoying the birds chirping around them.
It wasn’t until her eyes widened slightly as her step-daughter started quietly talking about her love life. It was unusual for her step-children to talk about their love lives, especially when they were all so private about it. Not that it bothered her, Aurora made it clear to her step-children and adopted children that they can always approach her and speak about anything they wished whenever they wanted. The molly knew that Firestar was quite protective over his daughters, so she could understand why Flarebeetle would rather approach Aurora first before her father. Aurora settled into her spot, and listened carefully.
Ah, so Flarebeetle had feelings for a Skyclan tom? Stoneheart at that. Aurora nodded carefully taking every word in. The gray tom was a very skilled warrior, very quiet and an introvert. Although, the tom was extremely cranky at times due to losing an eye early into his warriorhood. Could finding a mate would ease his guarded heart? “I see.” Aurora hummed, thinking about the situation that Flarebeetle was in.. How could she manage to impress the tom? “Firstly, Confidence is key.. Males really like when a female knows what she wants.” Aurora advised, as she knew that Fire loved her confidence in things. Stars, she managed to impress a lot of toms that way. “Doing the little things, like bringing his favorite prey or a gift that reminds you of him also works. It shows that you’re thinking about him, and that you have good intentions.” Aurora said, a small smile appearing on her lips before bumping her slim shoulder against her step-daughter
“Finally.. Be yourself, you never need to pretend to be someone that you’re not.” Aurora began, looking towards the water that led to the brooks. It was peaceful today, The black and golden molly was grateful to be outside and having some time away from camp. Aurora was certainly glad that her and Fire had a very balanced relationship in which Aurora and Fire communicated extremely well. Her hopes for all of the kids that were her own, step-children or adopted was that they were able to find the same happiness as she did. “He’s gonna be lucky that an incredibly, beautiful and smart gal is into him.” Aurora smiled softly at Flarebeetle.
It honestly wasn't even Flarebeatles idea to take her fathers wife out hunting with her, it was Firestars. The large ginger leader tried his best to help all his family get along by giving his older kits his younger kittens to mentor. For the most part it worked with all her siblings but Flarebeatle had always had her fathers stubborn attitude. She loved Thornpaw, maybe not as a younger brother but she loved him as her apprentice without a doubt.
Flarebeatle wanted to make her father proud, but taking Auroraskies to spend the day with her wasn't exactly ideal, but when Firestar heavily suggested that she take Auroraskies hunting she didn’t have much of a choice, he wasn’t just her dad, but also her leader. Spotting the molly trotting towards her the warrior moved to her paws, “Well the clan is always in need of food, no offense but with you and dad popping out new ones every season it’s important to make sure we are well stocked up. Let's get going.” Her monotone voice accompanied her motion as she continued to the exit.
Once they had cleared the clan exit and traveled a few fox lengths away in silence she finally spoke up, “But um…thank you for accompanying me. It's nice to have the extra paws.” She wasn't much for small talk but it seems that Auroraskies was the opposite, Flarebeatle chalking it up to the fact that she spends 95% of her time baby talking with kittens. Hearing the name of her younger half brother and first apprentice peaked the warriors attention enough to oblige Auroraskies in her small talk. Flarebeatle was proud of her apprentice, and always made sure to give him tones of challenges within his skill leveling and reminding him that he doesn't have to be the best just because he is Firestars son, but he just needs to do the best his current skill level can do and leave the rest to Flarebeatle. “Thornpaw is progressing quickly in his training. I guess that happens when the son of a great leader is trained by the daughter of a great leader. It's in our blood to be great.”
Her paws came to a slow halt, Flarebeatle knew if she didn't bring it up now she never would. “Hey Auroraskies I know we just started but can we take a break, If I’m being honest I have intentions other than hunting.” Settling down on her haunches once the molly agreed to their little break, her paws nervously kneaded the ground.
“See there’s this tom…I think I really really like him but I don't really know what to do. Mom was never really one to talk about love. Her break up with dad stopped her from ever mentioning it to us.”
“But you and dad…well yall are clearly very in love and I don't really have my mom around to get her advice on what to do.”
“I don't want to ask dad because I know he will overreact if I tell him.”
