šOriolepetal š
It had almost felt like a century since the young mollies mother had passed away due to green cough. It had completely taken caught her off guard, one moment she was laying with her in the nursery and the next she was suddenly an orphan. She had never known who her father was or where they were and if they even loved her. Her mother's passing was shortly before her apprenticeship so her ability to ask questions were very slim. Now here she was a newly made warrior and feeling absolutely alone in her own little world.
Well, she was somewhat alone anyways, she had one very close friend that she'd try and talk to every second she got. But since they had become warriors, it was almost as if they were fated to stay apart their given tasks driving them away. Oriolepetal shook her head a little as she laid down next to the warriors den her amber hues closing slightly as she tried to empty her thoughts of anything and everything. Light puffs of snow sprinkled down around them.
It would be a few hours before she had to go out on another border patrol maybe even a hunt, so she had decided to take this moment to relax and clear her thoughts. Perhaps she'd find Inksong and see how they're doing. That was before a ginger and black molly caught her eye. Curiosity caught her eye as she slowly got up walking towards her with a small smile. "Good morning love! How are you?" she asked softly dipping her head towards her.
Desertriver Riverclan Queen Looking at the molly in front of her, a frown appeared on her lips as she shifted to one side as Desertriver couldnāt help but be lost in her thoughts for just a moment. The golden-black molly knew the feeling, her own mother wasnāt around when growing up because she ran off with another tom when Desert and her siblings were about 4 moons old. While it did hurt, Desertriver had learned how to adjust to her fatherās evil ways after a while but knew that a part of her sisters and herself was missing due to Topazfireās absence. It wasnāt until the small Maine Coon snapped out of her thoughts and looked towards the younger molly āSheās watching over you, wherever she is.. Make sure that you keep making her proud while also not pressuring yourself to live up to such standards.. Okay?ā Desertriver said, looking at the nursery. After becoming a mother, the golden-black molly experienced such love towards her children. She knew that when her kits would become apprentices, they would face challenges.. But she always wanted Paintedkit, Brumekit, Hazekit and Miragekit to know that she always loved them no matter what happened in life.
Desertriverās ears perked up, when Oriolepetal asked how she was doing. Taking a deep breath, she looked towards the nursery for a moment where Sharkstride was inside with the kits before her amber-green gaze looked back at the cream and white molly āIām doing.. Good, just learning how to adapt.ā The golden-black molly said truthfully. Desertriver wanted to make sure that her kits were doing well in the end, thatās what mattered to her. There would be a day where Sharkstride and Desertriver would learn how to co-parent peacefully, but both of them knew that their childrenās best interests came first. While Desertriver was doing fairly well, she knew Sharkstride was hurting more than her. Rolling her shoulders slightly, the molly shook her head slightly as she rather talked about something else than her love life. āThe kits are well, always full of energy!ā Desertriver changed the subject with a grin on her face, the tip of her tail flicked for a moment. The molly let out a laugh and shook her head in amusement. āIām going to miss those little boogers when they become apprentices, I plan to be that embarrassing mother if they donāt come to see me enough.ā The golden-black molly teased, her amber-green eyes lighting up. Tilting her head, she nodded in understanding āIām glad to hear that you and Inksong are speaking, now more than ever we need a lot of support in life.ā Desertriver said, nodding in approval. Getting up from her seat, she beckoned her head towards the entrance of the camp āIāve been wanting to stretch my legs for a while, mind escorting a nursery queen around the territories?ā Desertriver questioned, wanting to just leave the camp for a bit and get some fresh air.. She also wanted to try fishing, the molly had slowly gotten back into the hunting groove after being a house cat for so long and depending on cat food.. Truth be told, the molly was glad to be eating fresh-kill once more.

The young molly had heard about the recent split between the molly and her mate, she had to admire the molly for working with them to raise her children. She had to admit that she felt some sadness of her own never having the chance to really meet her father let alone ever hearing about him while her mother was still around. There were some thoughts from time to time where the molly had felt that her mother Fallenshade never knew who the father was or that it was from someone who resided outside the clan to begin with.
Shaking her head slightly to clear her thoughts she smiled weakly, "I hope so.. I do miss her a lot sometimes but I know she's not suffering anymore i just wished she was around when I had became an apprentice you know?" She softly whispered a little frown peeking at the corner of her lips. "But its okay though! I think I did just fine for the hand I was dealt with plus I have some pretty awesome clanmates so It's not always hard you know?" She purred softly before drawing a swift lick over her chest fur.
She had started to let out a soft hum before tilting her head to the side a little. "hm.. nothing super special I got to hang out with Inksong again since we've became an apprentice" She softly said her cheeks growing rather hot as she adverted her amber hues to the side a bit. She'd be lying a bit if she had a thing for her best friend but she had no urge to really confess her feelings anyways. "How are your kits doing? Aren't they becoming apprentice soon?" She said her mood changing rather quickly, "Are you doing okay?" she added softly.
Desertriver Riverclan Queen The golden and black molly released a small sigh as her feathery tail began sweeping some snow away from a spot just underneath a willow tree, her amber-green eyes looking down on the ground as she avoided eye contact with cats nearby. It had been a couple of days since Desertriver had decided to end things with Sharkstride, as their relationship wasnāt going anywhere romantically but instead it naturally formed into a co-parenting relationship to their 4 moon old kits. It was surely awkward for both of them, but it was something they would get used to over time for the sake of Paintedkit, Hazekit, Miragekit and Brumekit. Turning to look towards the nursery, the small Maine Coon couldnāt really return there as Sharkstride was spending time with the kits there and Desertriver didnāt want to interrupt his time with the kits.
Turning to look around for Goosefur or Sorrelember, the two felines were really her only friends in Riverclan when Desertriver first joined. Edgefrost seemed to have taken a liking towards her, and the two sharp-tongue cats got along well, especially when Edgeās mate Snowstar had kits that were close in age to Desertriverās own litter. Her tail dropped slightly in disappointment when realizing that no one she was familiar with was around, releasing a small sigh. It wasnāt until her ears perked up at a new voice calling towards her, Desertriverās eyes narrowed slightly when seeing Oriolepetal approaching her. The golden and black molly remembered Oriolepetal because the young molly was named an apprentice just a day after Desertriver came to Riverclan after being saved by Sharkstrike, the dark gray and white tom had carefully explained apprentice ceremonies while she watched on with confusion. Although Desertriver felt bad for the young cream and ginger molly, her mother passed away in a serious case of Greencough just a while back. Now she wasnāt one for gossip, Desertriver could care less for it, but there was never a word of Oriolepetalās father. It was assumed that the father perhaps passed away, as no one ever claimed Oriolekit. Watching the younger molly, Desertriver shifted slightly so there was room for the cream and ginger molly to sit with her. āIām fine, considering how things are.ā Desertriver grumbled slightly, thinking of the current situation that she was in. Turning to look back at her companion, the golden and black molly looked down and coughed awkwardly āUm.. Iām very sorry about what happened to your mother, Iām sure that sheās extremely proud of you.ā The small Maine Coon said, as she couldnāt really imagine the thought of missing her own childrenās ceremonies due to something happening to her. Looking up, she let out a small smile āHow are you doing today? Anything interesting happening?ā She questioned, Desertriver might as well strike up a conversation while Oriolepetal was around. Starclan knows how long it will be until she returns to the nursery anyways. e3ff59
