Solarkit
Skyclan Kitten
Another day, Another moment of entertainment around camp.
While Auroraskies and Firestar were in front of the nursery with the others, Solarkit had managed to sneak off from his littermates. Knowing that the only reason why his parents hadn’t scooped him back up was mainly because Thornheart was sitting a couple of feet away, keeping an eye out on him. It was known around Skyclan that Thornheart and Scorchmountain were the trickers of Skyclan, planning different kinds of schemes since kithood. It had appeared that Thornheart had been teaching his younger siblings about causing mischief around camp and pulling innocent bystanders into it as well.
Watching Wisterarose nearby the prey pile, Solarkit watched his older brother. The large brown Maine Coon had beckoned his head towards the direction of a huge snow pile. It wasn’t until Solarkit had realized that Thornheart was encouraging him to pull a prank. A mischievous grin appeared on the kit’s face as Thornheart gave him a cheeky wink. Solarkit knew what to do, to cause some mischief around Skyclan.
Solarkit knew that Auroraskies would let him off easily, as her precious kits never do anything wrong. Of course, Firestar would easily know about his son’s schemes, but would only give him a glare of warning. Letting out a small giggle, the Maine Coon tom soon began creeping towards a large pile of snow. Knowing his mother would complain about getting his fur wet, Solarkit would be dreading the grooming that came with it. Leaping into the snow, the dark and ginger tabby tom began stalking towards his victim

Laughing loudly as he had certainly scared Wisterapaw, the tom had suddenly placed his paw on his chest as he fell back on the ground. The black and ginger was certainly cheeky, especially during his kithood days. “Lighten up Wisteriapaw, you don’t want any frown lines on you forever” Solarkit giggled, before rolling to his side and sitting back up. Letting out a small groan when noticing his long fur was wet, a small frown appeared on his face before leaning down to begin grooming himself. He certainly didn’t want to be lectured by his parents when Solarkit had finally returned to them! Solarkit knew how long it took for each parent to groom a kit, especially with Maine Coon fur at that!
Narrowing his dark blue eyes, Wisteriapaw sounded like one of those cranky elders! “Mama and Papa won’t get mad, if anything.. Papa will tell me I did a good job with sneaking up on you.” Solarkit said, knowing Firestar was very proud when his kits learned new important life skills. Getting up, Solarkit looked at the little snow fort that he had created before patting it gently as if he was trying to maintain it, he’s it would serve many purposes to him while the winter weather was still happening. It wasn’t until the black and ginger tabby looked towards the apprentice
“Tumblewave said that you were fun, I shall tell him that he was lying.” Solarkit declared, his blue eyes were narrowed. His older brother had talked about Wisteriapaw, and mentioned that the apprentice was a breath of fresh air… Well Tumblewave was wrong! The Maine Coon kitten was waving his feathery tail back and forth, he was a brat at times.. But the kit was generally bored and wanted some kind of entertainment that wasn’t his siblings bickering about which toy they were planning on burrowing from Silverwolf’s litter today.

The black and ginger tabby had completely buried himself into the snow. A soft chuckle escaped the younger tom as he began moving closer to his target. His blue eyes were gleaming with amusement as with a paw, Solarkit poked two holes so he could see. Watching Wisteriapaw carefully, he watched the young apprentice placing a piece of fresh kill on the pile before observing it. What was taking the apprentice so long into getting near the snow pile? His eyes narrowed, waiting impatiently. It would be a couple of more moments until his parents would see that Solarkit had gone somewhere else, but he knew that Thornheart was keeping a close eye on him, so it gave him the perfect amount of time.
Stalking closer to Wisteriapaw while buried into the snow, Solarkit felt the snow tickle his nose before his whiskers twitched. The young kit had to refrain from sneezing, as it would blow his spot. Letting out a small hum, Solarkit began moving closer until the young kit was finally behind the gray molly. It wasn’t until the Maine Coon tom had jumped out of the snow and moved with all of his strength and speed to suddenly tackle himself into the young apprentice, ignoring the squealing sound for her. A satisfied grin appeared on the Maine Coon tom’s face as he sat on top of her, it wasn’t until he heard the booming laughter of Thornheart that Solarkit knew that he was Victorious. Wait til he told his father that he successfully snuck up on someone?
“Did I scare you?” Solarkit said, a bright grin appeared on his face when looking down at Wisteriapaw. His feathery tail was waving back and forth in happiness. He totally did scare her. “I did!” Solarkit beamed, a huge grin on his face. Quickly climbing off her, he saw Thornheart’s look of approval, and he succeeded in his mission. “Now I can tell Father that I’m ready to start training.” Solarkit observed, looking at Firestar who was watching with a raised eyebrow. A bashful smile appeared on the tabby’s face, oops, he got caught. Solarkit had a lot of explaining to his parents now.
The young molly had been sent on a little hunting patrol with the other apprentices that were currently in training. Her mentor saying something about seeing how well they did in other times of the year. As most of her apprenticeship was done during newleaf where prey came in abundance. Due to her small like frame she had quite the trouble when it came working around piles of snow finding most of her time trying to get unstuck, the molly was left looking like a drowned rat.
Grumbling softly under her breath Wisteriapaw dropped a scrawny mouse on the freshkill pile, you could say that it was somewhat a successful run but the molly could easily argue otherwise. "What a mess" She complained to herself, perhaps she'd say something to Sleetwind when she could find him in a little bit. Her first mission was drying off and warming up a bit before she caught a cold or something.
Turning away from the pile the molly took a step or so before pausing giving her chest an aggressive lick, her tail twitching slightly.
