Their relationship had never been the grandest, their worlds slowly shifting away as they had gotten older. She had stuck to herself helping around when she needed too, aiding the mothers in the nursery when they needed a moment away from their children. She hadn't particular mind their differences it was nice to stay in the shadows and watch her clanmates flourished. When her sister was announced to be the next deputy, she felt a sudden rush of pride for them. She had known they had worked really hard for their rank, and she honestly was rather happy for her despite their lack of communication.
Her need to talk with snowfeather hadn't been so urgent until she had fallen deathly ill. It hadn't come so sudden; it had progressively gotten worse for her over time to the point where she couldn't exactly pinpoint where it had turned for the worse for her. On days where she felt like she'd wither away and pass on she had thought back on her life and the many mistakes she had done the older she had gotten. Today was probably one of those days where she had a "up day" She didn't feel as sick as she had been and was able to walk about.
Snowfeather had recently given birth to her kits, so the molly had known she'd be around camp for some time. The black and white feline had thought over a million times of what she might say, if her sister would even give her the time of day. She wouldn't have blamed her otherwise; they weren't close whatsoever. Letting out a cough or two the molly had mustered the courage to go to the nursery she'd make sure to stay a bit away as to not get anyone sick with whatever she had.
Letting out a deep breath she stuck her head inside letting her eyes adjust to the light as she softly said, "S-snowfeather...?"
Snowfeather seemed a bit confused by her sister's sudden appearance, but as the words flowed from Pebblenose's mouth, the queen found the strength to move away from her newborns and approach her sister. She smelled heavily of milk and sweet-smelling herbs, and a soft twinkle seemed to be in her gaze since introducing her sons to the world. "Pebblenose, hold on," she mewed, shaking her head slightly as the grogginess began to dissipate. She jerked her head forward, motioning for the warrior to follow her outside -- somewhere quieter. Leading her behind the nursery so they were sheltered from the chilly wind, Snowfeather sat on her haunches and tucked her half-there tail beside her. "What's going on? How sick have you been? Why didn't you tell me?" she asked, shaking her head in disbelief. Even if Pebblenose didn't want to admit she was ill to Snowfeather as her sister, she should've told her as her deputy. Although, the white and gray molly had been tucked away in the nursery for quite some time. It wasn't surprising she missed a few pieces of clan news here and there.

Seeing the small bundles of joys pressed up against the queen caused her heart to flutter with joy and proudness for a mere moment before it had turned to slight guilt. Seeing just how much she had missed out on seeing her sister flourish and being a part of it made her regret her rather stubborn behavior towards the white molly. Pebblenose wasn't sure as to why she never got along with the queen, it wasn't like Snowfeather had done anything to her to cause her to resent her for anything but existing. Perhaps it was simply because the black and white molly felt that they'd never be as good as the deputy was in just everything they did, that in the end they'd just be a mere memory to her clanmates. Pebblenose just simply didn't stick out to her clanmates and she had grown rather jealous for the successfulness the queen had managed to gain in the time period of their apprenticeship and later warriorship.
Pebblenose didn't really begin to realize how foolish and childish she had acted towards the queen and knew that no matter how much she tried to change for the better that their relationship might continue to be strain. With her recent diagnoses of some form of illness and being closer to death then she could ever know the molly wanted to at least attempt to repair things with her sister seeing as she was the only kin that was currently alive, well besides her nephews of course. Noticing the queen waking up she folded her ears against her skull for a moment her green hues shifting to the side for a moment.
"D-did I wake you I'm sorry I can come back later...?" She softly croaked not wanting to wake the sleeping bundles that were nuzzle against their mother. She had a feeling that it might be awhile before the molly would be able to have the energy to come out of the medicine cat den again but she honestly didn't mind. "O-oh er... I'm not allowed to do patrols or anything I've uh... been in the medicine cat den since I'm not sure when I've just been really sick and Rainysky isn't sure with what... I feel as if I might pass soon.." She admitted at first keeping her gaze away as to not let her emotions over take her.
"I just wanted to see if you were okay I've heard you had some complications with your birthing... I know we've never been close and I wanted to apologize for my childish behavior and j-just wanted to say I'm so so proud of who you've become and will be in the future and I truly am lucky to have you as a sister despite what our relationship may be.." She started to say just hoping the queen wouldn't get offended with what she may say in her attempts in chatting with them. She sat by the entrance of the nursery making sure to keep her distance from the kits and her sister the last thing she wanted was to get them sick with whatever she had.
