Wildstorm remained downwind, his striking blue eyes narrowed and aimed at his target as he moved as quietly as he could through the patch of ferns just off the shore of the lake. Breathing slowly and steadily, his black fur brushed against the green leaves, the wind blowing against his face. It was only mid morning, but the weather was already warmer than it had been the past few moons of leafbare and his dark coat was retaining the welcomed heat. Thankfully, leafbare hadnโt been too terrible on WindClan, so he prayed it would be the same with this Newleaf.
Smirking slightly, the three year old tomcat kept stalking forward as he stared at the back of Bunnybloomโs head, his last former apprentice. A sweet she-cat, Bunnybloom had always been fun to mentor and it had been too long since they had been in one anotherโs company, which was why he had sought her out to catch up. However, he believed it would be more fun to scare her rather than gently surprise her with his presence, which was quite typical of him. While Breezehowl and Heatherpetal had grown up some from their antics as apprentices, Wildstorm continued to love having fun and pulling pranks.
And here was the perfect opportunity.
Bunnybloomโs gaze was directed towards the lake and Wildstorm couldnโt help but stalk quietly towards her until he found the perfect time to pounce, bounding out of the fern bushes and towards his former apprentice, his paws pressing on her shoulders to shove her to the ground in a tumble, their bodies scuffling in the dirty sand. โHa!โ He laughed when their rolling stopped and he sat up from the ground, shaking out his dark coat and flinging dirt and sand everywhere. โI taught you better than that. Always be aware.โ Wildstorm smirked at Bunnybloom before his ears twitched. โWhat are you doing out here by yourself?โ

What was this certain flower? She had never seen it growing amongst their usually flora, but then again it was nice to see another margin of color beginning to sprout from the ground. Her eyes were narrowing upon the sprouts of blue and yellow petals, even blue and pink were mixed in. Are they poisonous? Bunnybloom wandered curiously, her fluffy tail tip twitching with her curiosities. Perhaps she should talk to Littlewoods and see what he thought about the new flowers. Could they possibly have healing properties? Sniffing the flowers, she made a face of disgust. Nasty. She thought to herself, shaking her head and proceeding to shake out her pelt. Licking her lips and looking towards the next patch of flora that was beginning to sprout off of one of the bushes speckled throughout the moorland. Honeysuckles. Stuck in her own thoughts, she had no idea that she was being tailed, lifting her muzzle to sniff at the small bulbs that were growing when the world was suddenly moving.
Screeching in surprise, her cream and lavender pelt was fluffed out in surprise as she was knocked down to the ground. Paws flailing against her attacker before she recognized the dark pelt. โWildstorm you heifer!โ She laughed in relief, laying limp in the dusty sand as she was regaining her breath. โUghhh.โ She groaned with a playful roll of her eyes, beginning to stand and shake out her pelt as well, sneezing from all the sand flying around. Shaking her head and wiggling her nose before she smiled sheepishly. โHunting?โ Noticing the look he was giving her before she shrugged. โLemontooth and Poppyblaze are so focused on each other that itโs annoying. So I tend to just trail off.โ She admitted with a smile. โIโve got a rabbit though to bring back. What are you doing out here alone?โ
